We made a reservation online for one of the themed nights, and the experience was 10/10 right from the beginning. While waiting to enter the 'cooking school' kitchen, we were served drinks (including choice of wine) and we could browse the 'lobby' area where they had ready-made frozen meals, ingredients, and pre-made soup mixes to go. After an introduction by the chef instructor, our class was divided into groups. Each group was responsible for creating 1 dish from the menu that night, which included appetizer, main, and dessert. We were able to learn various practical cooking techniques and skills throughout the night by rotating through the different stations - such as oyster shucking, pasta making (from scratch), how to create the different sauces, etc. Very useful info and hands-on experience. They had a pasta-making machine on site, and it was fun to shape the pasta doughs into different custom shapes using the moulds. We used all natural ingredients for colouring, such as beets to make the pasta pink / purple. What stuck with me the most was learning how to shuck open raw oysters properly. We also made 3 different sauces to go with the raw oysters, including the classic mignonette (consisting of red wine vinegar and eschalots). The main dish of that night was lamb rack, but because I don't eat meat, the chef personally cooked a grilled salmon & vegetables dish for me (that he whipped up quickly in the back kitchen) - it was nice that they were accommodating like that. Dessert was a sorbet with fresh fruits (sliced strawberries). The whole cooking experience took a few hours, so by the time everything was ready, we were all starving. Food somehow tastes better when you know it was the labour of your own work!

Courtney and the team at Dish accommodated every request we had and went above and beyond in contributing to the events' success. They supported with things we didn't expect of them as well as anticipated our needs. I would host every event here if I could.

Are all super passionate about what they do and are very experienced. They are down to earth and funny people. They were super welcoming and created a super friendly and casual environment for everyone. There were a few couples that attended, one came with his mum celebrating a birthday, another came with a friend, one person came alone all ages ranging from young to older adult. The class was well organized and I was engaged throughout the class. Dont worry if you suck at cooking, they are attentive and walk you through every step. They also teach the types of cannabis, recipes, the science and math behind the cooking - these people know what they're doing and I learned so much! We got to take home 6 pop tarts each and a 50+ of gummy bears to last me some time. The poptart was so good, like a butter cookie pop tart reheated it in the oven a week later and was still delicious. So even if you don't plan on cooking more, you get to take home a bunch of delicious cannabis goodies which is well worth it! Would definitely go back and I highly recommend!

Josh explained how to break down exactly how much THC is in your treat Vanessa is awesome, anything you need to know about any recipes she is there to help and will explain to you exactly what to do. Vanessa will give you her phone number so you can call her if your stuck in the middle of making your infused goodies. You make two types of treats and you get to take them home. How awesome is that all for $125! This includes the class with all instruments and the treats and best of all you don't need to take any notes at all, Vanessa will send you all notes, calculations and recipes. Go with your spouse, partner or with friends, either way its so much fun and so cool! I had a blast. I tell all my friends about Cannabis Cooking Company! Go and enjoy Mary.

I bought a LivingSocial voucher for this place as a gift. It was for a cooking class for two people…read more+ a gift certificate to their store in St. Lawrence Market. The classes offered sounded really good based on the website, so it was very disappointing that they made it extremely difficult for me to book a class... Eventually, I gave up and got my voucher refunded. It was especially too bad since the voucher was originally a gift for someone and I had to explain to them what happened! - I called the owner, Karen, to register for a cooking class. She abruptly told me to just look at the website and email her and hung up before I could explain I had *already* looked at the website, picked my class, and was ready to sign up! - I emailed her. - She took 3 days to write back and by then the class we wanted was full. (Keep in mind, I emailed her 1 month before the voucher expired to avoid the rush of people using their vouchers). She said she was adding more classes and would contact me in the next few days. - She later said she is adding classes in July and I could still use my voucher, even though it would be past the expiry date. She will let me know in the coming week. - Almost 3 months pass and I have emailed her 3 times. NO REPLY. - Finally, I say I will just cut my losses ask LivingSocial for a refund. That gets her to write me back. She explains the school was "closed for summer" (then why did she previously say she was adding classes in July?), no apology for the lack of communication. She says I can come for a class on Sept. 17. Doesn't give me any choice and that day conflicts with my work schedule. I write back asking if I can join the Sept. 23 class. NO REPLY, so I assume there's no room. - On Sept. 22 I get an email "confirming" we are registered for the Sept. 23 class (really helpful to give customers notice less than 24 hours before a class starts!!). The whole process of trying to get into a class was incredibly frustrating and for that reason alone, I wouldn't even want to deal with this cooking school again even if the classes are great! It's just not worth the hassle and based on my communications with Karen, they do not value their potential customers (or they don't value voucher customers, in which case, why participate in those types of deals?!?).
