I love Dish Cooking Studio! I've been here twice for corporate events and both times we did the Iron Chef format. STARTERS AND COCKTAILS: They have an extensive list of cocktails, and recently put out a list of "Virtuous Cocktails" that are non-alcoholic but use botanicals and look delicious. They have a delicious spread of cheese, spreads, dips, crackers and pita. The cheese in my experience has always been fantastic. COOKING: Essentially, they reveal a "secret ingredient" (which is usually more like a theme, as the ingredient is never a crazy ingredient, it is usually quite common (in my experience, it has been root vegetables and zucchini) and seasonal), you get split into teams, and then the team lead (staff) tells you what you're going to prepare and how you should do it. Within your teams, you each take on rolls, whether it is cutting, peeling, mashing, boiling, DEEP FRYING, roasting etc. When everything is prepped and cooked, you plate the dish and someone on the team presents it to the judge with a quick speech/description. I like this format for corporate events - it's competitive, but not complicated. As a room full of lawyers (in my case), we are not the most creative and are also not necessarily the best cooks. For the team lead to tell us exactly what we are doing and how we are doing it is great - I can't imagine if they gave me a handful of root vegetables and told me to run with it! EATING: Once the food has been presented to the judge, everyone sits down for dinner. The staff take the food that you prepared (and I imagine they have some emergency food prepared in the back in case we didn't do a good job) and plate it for everyone. They prepare the dessert, which is always in line with the theme. It ends up being a delicious four course meal, that you helped prepare! At the end of dinner, they announce the winning team and award them with their in-house dry rub.

An excellent absolutely exquisite experience at Dish in Toronto. When you walk in you are greeted with a name tag and an apron, oh and a glass of vino. When it's time for class you can find a seat either front row or second tier. It doesn't matter where you sit, because before long you'll be cooking. You are divided into small groups based on what course you choose to work on. Pay attention to the different courses and raise your hand for the one that you think you could learn the most doing. When you get to your station, you are given a recipe and guidance throughout. You do all the chopping, mixing, searing, and plating. You are encouraged to taste as you go to make sure you seasoned properly. You will learn some proper knife skills and tips for home. When everything is made, you sit down for the meal you created. They bring it to you plated in courses. The atmosphere at dish is as if you were a chef in a real restaurant kitchen. The experience is bucket list worthy and I definitely recommend for a date. we had lots of laughs! You are not made to feel dumb or amateur, the chefs are laid back and enjoyable to be around. I had an excellent time here and will definitely be back for more.

Are all super passionate about what they do and are very experienced. They are down to earth and funny people. They were super welcoming and created a super friendly and casual environment for everyone. There were a few couples that attended, one came with his mum celebrating a birthday, another came with a friend, one person came alone all ages ranging from young to older adult. The class was well organized and I was engaged throughout the class. Dont worry if you suck at cooking, they are attentive and walk you through every step. They also teach the types of cannabis, recipes, the science and math behind the cooking - these people know what they're doing and I learned so much! We got to take home 6 pop tarts each and a 50+ of gummy bears to last me some time. The poptart was so good, like a butter cookie pop tart reheated it in the oven a week later and was still delicious. So even if you don't plan on cooking more, you get to take home a bunch of delicious cannabis goodies which is well worth it! Would definitely go back and I highly recommend!

Josh explained how to break down exactly how much THC is in your treat Vanessa is awesome, anything you need to know about any recipes she is there to help and will explain to you exactly what to do. Vanessa will give you her phone number so you can call her if your stuck in the middle of making your infused goodies. You make two types of treats and you get to take them home. How awesome is that all for $125! This includes the class with all instruments and the treats and best of all you don't need to take any notes at all, Vanessa will send you all notes, calculations and recipes. Go with your spouse, partner or with friends, either way its so much fun and so cool! I had a blast. I tell all my friends about Cannabis Cooking Company! Go and enjoy Mary.

The Edible Story is a unique place that brings together the catering, cooking classes, private dinners and corporate events. We came here for a Holiday team get together. I suggested this places because I knew it would be a fun experience working together but also working as a team to make. Wonderful yummy meal that we got to enjoy afterwards. It was such a fun and engaging experience. Everyone was welcoming and made our event so amazing. The chefs were friendly, knowledgeable and really walked us through the process. It was amazing to experience cooking together with my coworkers but also to break bread with them afterwards. We All broke into groups and tackled the menu which consisted of salad to start with a lemony dressing. Followed by the wild mushroom gnocchi with a gremolata, and watercress and Parmesan. The main was steak with cipollini onions in a wine reduction and crispy potatoes with lemon ricotta. To finish we had a flourless chocolate cake with miso included caramel. Everything was easy to make, uncomplicated flavours and just so damn delicious! I'm so happy I got to experience this wonderful place for a second time with an amazing team! Thank you for the experience and an afternoon well spent with my coworkers!

Quite a lot of parking around the vicinity of the area, however, you might have a tough time finding the spot as the location of the place is similar as it is considered the same plaza within a condo unit that is also down there, so ensure that you walk and tour around before heading in and mistaking it for another place haha. Nice venue overall and not much to complain about as the location was great and had a good time.

I looked at the sign placed on the sidewalk and it offers cooking classes. Cool! What drew me in was a pasta dryer. It was red and translucent. It looked cool. I walked in. There is a little ramp for those who may need a wheelchair to enter and exit the store. Perhaps I had luck on my side. I didn't have anyone asking whether I needed assistance. I like self-discovery when I have nothing in mind to shop for. A female staffer was assisting two other female customers. Judging from their conversation, they would be going at it for a while. One of them was awfully specific about the types of mini bowls that she had in mind. I was correct. They were still talking by the time I had completed by browsing excursion in this store. This store is more on the higher end of kitchen appliances and accessories. If you're looking for higher quality items, you want to shop here. I have a few examples. I found a stainless steel poacher for eggs. I frankly don't think that you need to get one for $15, but you can if you're dying to own one. I found a rather fancy-looking carbonation machine. It made my SodaStream machine that I love look like a toy. I love Le Creuset. It is truly an investment when you are buying pieces, so I don't own a lot of items. I normally hit an outlet or wait for a sale. This place had a silicone brush for basting turkeys or applying egg wash to your pastries before shoving them into the oven. It felt good in my hand until I saw that it was $25. Really? The cooking classes seem to happen at the back. There is a kitchen, but it had so many products around the cooking area that was obviously dormant. It was odd to me. You'd have to take all your products off before you have your cooking class. It seemed like a lot of work. Perhaps there's another kitchen area in the back that I wasn't aware of. Who knows? It was nice browsing around this store. I liked looking at the covered shopping carts. I grew up with a foldable metal one with two wheels. It was bigger that the ones offered here, but I like how your items are protected from the elements. The designed looked nice compared to my boxy ones that I've owned over the years when I didn't have a car and needed to walk to the supermarket down the street. I look forward to returning to this store and checking out their items some more. (31)
