This is a cute little pottery studio where you can paint your own pottery. There is a wide selection from cups to figurines to little trinket boxes. This place is great for adults and kids alike. It's a great way to spend some quality time with your friends, family or significant other. The studio fee is $9.00 per person which includes the usage of the paint and supplies plus the cost of the item you choose to paint. The people working there are super friendly and explain the process to you if it's your first time. You can always ask them questions and they'll be able to assist you. After painting your item, it'll take them about a week to have it baked and ready for pickup. Overall, this is a fun experience and I wouldn't mind coming back to paint something of my own as I came here with my niece and she had a lot of fun spending her afternoon painting her little fairy trinket box.

This place is fun. You buy something to paint, a mug, figurine, cookie jar, plate, ornament or platter. Prices vary. Then you pay a nine dollar usage fee. This includes all the paint, brushes, and assistance from an expert. :) So you paint then leave it there for a week and pick it up. In the week they coat your object in a glaze and put it in a first kiln, it comes out bright and shiny You paint, it looks pastel and faded. You paint three coats of every colour and then you are done. It's a nice rainy day activity for kids of all ages.

I went with a friend recently. We wanted to do an activity that didn't involved eating (for once) so, we decided to paint ceramics as a good sit down activity. We walked in and were instantly greeted by a friendly staff who let us settle in, pick the bisque-ware we wanted to paint and, then explained how everything worked and tools available to us. There is a wide selection of bisque-ware to choose from from figurines, ornaments to plates and mugs. There are also a wide selection of colors of paint that you can choose from. They keep their paints in little pots/tubs which you can pick from. You are not limited to any number of colours and you keep the colours which you select at your table until the end. You also get to choose a new brush for each colour (rather than washing your brush after each use). They have fine tip brushes and dotting tools (squeeze bottles with non-sharp needles) for any detailed work you wish to do. The prices for the pieces are definitely not considered cheap but, on average, I believe that the cost for any 'paint-your-own-ceramics' would cost (ballpark) about the same. Most bisque-ware range from 20 to 30 dollars and more expensive pieces can cost $60+. So for this activity, I believe the price is quite standard (since, they do provide you with paints, brushes, glaze and fire up your pieces in a kiln for you). There is no additional studio fee. There is only a charge for the ceramic piece. If you do not finish working on your painting during your session, you can pay for your pottery piece, take it home and return when you have time to complete it. There is a studio fee if you decide to return with your piece during the weekend but, free if you come back during the weekday. My friend and I did not finish painting our pieces on the first day, and we decided to come back later on a weekday to finish painting. I painted a plate and my friend painted a mug and a pot. It took me about 4 hours to finish painting my plate (3 hours the first time, and 1 hour when I revisited). In about a week's time, we each got a call to pick up our pieces and I absolutely loved how our pieces turned out.

I came here because i got a groupon that covers $30 for the price of $15 for 2 people. The nicer pieces can set you back over $100. I got a whale piggy bank and that was almost $30. Needless to say the groupon didn't cover much. The studio is very neat and tidy. One side of the studio has all of the pieces you van vhoose from and the other side has paints, brushes, and palettes to put your paints in. Once you choose your piece the instructor will give you a walkthrough of painting your piece. You can visit multiple times till your painting is complete. They will give you a receipt used as proof of ownership when you come back to pick up your masterpiece. I think it is fun to do this from time to time, but i have to take a star off just because i felt like it wasn't worth the cost.

I tried this place a few years back. Came here with 5 kids. Staff was very good with kids, made it a good experience for them. When the kids are happy, the parents are happy. Good atmosphere, very comfortable and relaxing. The pieces for the pottery is pricey, don't be surprised, and the kids like the more expensive pieces. We chose a cup and saucer. Good experience.

Super cute pottery place where you are able to paint your own ceramics. I went with my friends on a Saturday, a little surprised to see that so many people know about this place. The fee for sit in (where you are allowed unlimited paint and time for the day) is $9, and each ceramic that you paint is an additional amount (between $18 to about $40). They kiln it for you when you are finished and it takes about 5-7 days for pickup. The staff are super nice.

One of the most relaxing activities you can think of. I got a groupon $18 for $30 worth of things for two people. Thank goodness I did because if I had to pay regular it would have been a very hefty bill. It's about $70-80 for two people on the regular. Basically for one session you need to pay a $9 studio fee (for using their paints and equipment). Then you choose your pottery (all range from $20+). I got a mug that was about $24 and my cousin got a mug for $21. At the end of it all we paid an additional $41 after the groupon was applied. You can just drop in and start painting, no need for a reservation. I would highly suggest buying the groupon if you choose to do this, otherwise you'll be paying double. However, its a great way to just relax and talk with your friends. I'd totally do it again if I had the cash lol

Lovely young lady helped us. The owner however was rude and condescending. This is noted in several other reviews. I do not recommend.

I'm glad they opened up a new indoor playground uptown as there's not many in the area, you would need to make your way to the west like Vaughan area. So my friend and I decided to bring our kids here on a P.A day. We booked the admission and did the waivers online. They have various time slots for you to choose from when you book the tickets online. The duration is 2 hours of play for $19.99+taxes, it includes one adult entry. We booked it for 11:30pm - 1:30pm. As you can imagine it was pretty busy since it was a P.A day. The playground wasn't that big, there's a few party rooms. They have various things for kids to do. One downside is they only had two video game stations. Kids had to line up and wait for their turn, timing can be tight since there's only 2 hours of playtime unless you pay extra to extend it. This place is fairly new so it's clean and well maintained. They don't allow outside food and drinks but I've seen some people with it, perhaps they had found a way to sneak it in. They have snacks and drinks that you can purchase. I looked into their party packages and in my opinion I think it's overly priced, it's not worth it. Bringing kids here once in a while to play is still okay in terms of one time admission fees but not with their passes or party packages.

They also often have mechanical dispensers that allow you to purchase one or two tablespoons of food for the animals at a time. Limited animal numbers and animal/bird types, with limited access. Wild Things is EXACTLY the opposite of all this: The total number of animals and/or birds locked up or inaccessible to the children is zero. Norman, the owner, has a very extensive family of animal and bird friends and he loves to share them with the children who come to visit. $8.00 per person is the admission price and for that you get unlimited access to chicks from several breeds of chickens, geese, ducks, pigeons and turkeys. Can you pet them? Of course you can. Can you pet chicks, and even pick them up chicks and hold them in your hand? Yes, of course you can. Can you feed any of them? Yes, of course you can. In fact, all of them. You are encouraged to feed any of the animals. Unlimited food is available ....all of it at no extra charge. As soon as you exit your vehicle in the parking lot will be met by several breeds of goats, ranging from dwarfs to full -size, and maybe a small cow. Chickens and ducks will surround you as you walk most places, from the parking lot onward. Turkeys and geese mostly stay near the barns or the pond. The geese may be a bit stand-offish, depending on their mood, but they will also wait to be touched. The rabbits, which range from white/black through milk chocolate and all the way to full black LOVE to be held and cuddled.. An occasional chipmunk may join in.. In the 120 year-old barn adults can see and appreciate how the wood was cut and fitted by hand in the nineteenth century: wood pins hold it together, not metal nails. Head back to the corner of the barn and you will find some zip-lines for the children to enjoy. and liberal hay on the floor to protect them in case they fall off. A fifty-year old black walnut stands outside, with bird houses across it, and ropes to swing from, while rope hammocks await nearby for those that get tired. Is it all perfect? Not quite: there are no washrooms with running water. Just the old-style wood privvies, with hand-wash lotions outside.. Is a visit worthwhile? It is beyond any expectation. I have not even heard of anything that delivers this much, at any price, anywhere. Children and adults will be treated to an enjoyment that cannot be found in any commercial farm or zoo anywhere in the GTA, perhaps even all of Ontario.. For kids, .this is several dreams come true, all at the same time. Oh yes, Parking is free, too.

They have a maximum of 10 people inside at a time (according to their website) however even though we booked a specific time frame, there was pretty clearly more than 10 people inside. Unlike some other zoos we went too, there was no real path to follow. It's basically a giant square with a small square on the inside. The outline of the larger square is filled with fenced in animals, and the inner square has fenced animals as well. Although its understandable they have an admission fee for the upkeep of the animals, I feel it should have included the feed. Other zoos are free admission and only charge for feed (ie. high park) so in terms of value, this is a bit below par. Finally, I would never say the animals are aggressive, however when trying to feed the goats, one of them bit the entire feed bag and ripped it away. As I'm an adult, this is fine as I am agile and athletic, however a small child could have easily gotten injured, so perhaps some more training would suffice.

KidsFest Spring Edition - May 21 - 23 (Victoria Day long week), hours of operation: 10-6…read more I've been to several of these fairs before DinoFest during Christmas break, then SpringFest during Easter Long weekend, and now KidsFest during the May long weekend. The setups are similar - bouncy castles, clowns, jugglers, a few vendors (candy, timeshare vacation packages, magic pens, etc), midway games, arcades and food trucks. Unlike DinoFest and SpringFest, KidsFest is mostly outdoors (except for the SuperDog show and some bouncy castles) - keep this in mind as they will not operate the midway rides if it rains. I took my family on the last day of the event and the weather was gorgeous! This is like a miniature CNE/TheEx that is geared toward little kids. My kids are 5&7 and I found that they are already closer to outgrowing this kind of event. They loved the train ride, bouncy castles and midway rides (the ferris wheel line was an hour long!, there was also a pirate ship ride, swings, fun houses and Berry-Go-Round). There were some carnival games and you are guaranteed to win something (like $10 for a plastic sword). There was easily 10 different bouncy castles, 5 food trucks and barely any vendors (which I thought was weird). The SuperDogs had 3 shows a day and it was the first time my kids had seen the show and they thoroughly enjoyed it, cheering on the dogs and such. There was also a huge inflatable teddy bear, red balloon dog and emoticons - perfect for taking pictures for the 'Gram. The price for admission was $20 and it includes unlimited rides. I like this pricing model over the one where it's a bit cheaper for admission but you have to buy tickets for the rides. I'm sure there will be tons more of these type of fairs over the next few months. It's a great way to spend a fun-filled day with your fam!
