Because it's a school, there is usually 3 people residing over your treatment (1 primary and 2 secondaries). You'll be asked a lot of questions about your health and any issues you have. They then leave for about 5 minutes deciding how to treat you. I teach yoga and if you can believe it, I get tight in my upper back (all those downward dogs), so sometimes I'll get a massage (Tuina, a chinese massage that is done over your clothes and feels amazing; cupping, which is a deep massage but if you love deep tissue massage, it's AWESOME!!! You will have marks on your backs though - they do fade; sometimes Shiatsu). They also do acupuncture (of course). They will also prescribe herbs if needed. The cost is $20 a session (the session is about 1.5 hours), but if you get a living green card, it's $15/session. Go...just go.

In which case, cost is more than student-run, but still very reasonable I think compared to many other places. The practioners there are excellent, so knowledgeable and intuitive and treat all sorts of issues. Very comfortable, professional, and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you are struggling with some sort of issue and not sure what can be done about it. I think they can help or point you in the right direction.

I truly believe all the positive reviews and that most people likely have great experience; if someone needed a driving school I am likely to recommend them. I just think that my experience needed a few extra tweaks to get a higher rating, personally. I didn't love that I had to go to their house for pick up and drop off. I often waited for my instructor to go into his house and "use the restroom", get himself a coffee, and started late often. My first lesson, I thought we jumped into things way too fast even though I explained that I had no idea what I was doing (we did a left turn immediately which is a lot for your first ten seconds of driving). My instructor often grabbed my wheel even as the weeks progressed - I did 13 hours total lessons - instead of actually verbalizing what he felt like I was doing wrong. This became very frustrating and I realized it was eroding my confidence versus building it up. What my biggest complaint is overall were the sheer number of errands I was taking on, on my dime, while I sat in the car waiting. I asked time and time again to practice parking, and we did once or twice only. I sat in the car once for over twenty minutes (I'm paying by the minute) while my instructor bought himself a battery. It was infuriating. I once picked up someone for him and drove them both back and my lesson ran over by thirty minutes (was not charged but I was late to pick up my son!) Another thing that happened was the day of my test, I was not in control of the experience at all. They told me to book my G2 at Oakville which really makes no sense and costs me 100s more to travel out there. He also made me book hours ahead of the test to "practice", but didn't end up doing any practicing. (Also, one of the errands we ran one time was to fill the gas tank for one of his students because "you need a full gas tank to take the test", but then for my test we didn't have a full tank so I asked about it, turns out that was total bs lie to get me to run an errand on my dime). Travel time is included in the cost of the G2 test, but he tried to double charge me both for travel time and for "practicing", and it's only because I spoke up that he adjusted it - if I was 16/17, I would have been walked all over. I didn't pass the test even after 13 hours of lessons, and had to do another lesson w a different business to pass. Overall - not the right school for me.

I had Ronald as my instructor and he was great. His patience and attention to detail not only…read morehelped me pass my G1 first try, but also made me a safer driver in general.

I would save myself couple hundred bucks. I like the teacher and his approach. The seminar was useful, instructive and informative. It felt like the teacher has massive experience in movie and television industry as an actor, director, and coach. He was very honest and gave us a lot of hands-on information about auditions, photographers, and agencies. He also had spoken about scams with privet lessons that are booming in the city and how not to get into it. Personally, for me, there was interesting information about how much should the photo shoot and processing cost. But it was too late because I have paid the agency way too much money already. Like I said I wish I went to this seminar earlier. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is searching information about movie work and how to start getting close to it. Just go and ask the guy your questions - he knows the answers!!! And he is very honest!!! You will get them - the answers, I mean. And it cost some funny money - it is the best investment you can spend your money for, I think. It's worth it. Also, the guy is very charismatic and trustworthy. I decided to take some of his courses. I feel that I can learn a lot from him.

I joined earls class back in June of 2021.. a friend had recommended him to me and all I can say is this man is a GENIUS. It is the best investment I've ever made in my acting career by far. Every word that comes out of Earls mouth is so inspirational, transparent and full of substance. He really knows what he is talking about and by the first class I was already pulled in. I love how he makes you look at the art of acting in a very "in the moment" and "spiritual" type of sense. He doesn't just teach you the foundation of acting, but he also teaches you about life. I've become so aware, grateful, and mindful as an actress and as a being too! That class feels like my sanctuary and I'm learning so much everyday. I used to feel sticks and stagnant but now I always feel a step closer to my goals. Its mind blowing because I've learned so much more in that studio than I've learned in 5 years of my acting experience from auditioning, self taping, monologues and so on. If Acting is your dream and you really want to pursue this professionally. This is your calling. Earl gives insight on why many actors fail and succeed in this business, he is so honest and he really challenges you to come out of your comfort zone and understand what you are doing when your acting. I'm now in level 2 of his acting class and I love it! My dream has always been to become a "consistent" working actor and after joining his class I feel it in my soul that I am many steps closer to that. His critique has really changed the way I tackle scenes, and has opened my mind as an artist. He really wants you to succeed.. he's not there to tell you what WANT to hear. He's there to tell you what you NEED to hear, because no one else is going to tell you. I walked into that class on day 1 and left my ego and whatever rubbish I thought I knew about the art of acting at the door. The actress I was months ago is completely different from the actress I am today! Stronger, confident, and knowledgeable in what I'm doing. And it's only the beginning.

I heard about David's class for many years before joining. It cost more than the average one, but I…read morethought it would be worth it. When I joined David's class, the first few sessions were a bit rough. He had a convoluted "method" of getting into the work that was more confusing than stimulating, and I wasn't receiving any real direction - just a general commentary on my performance, but I thought it would get better. Remaining in the class was the biggest mistake I ever made in my acting career. David derailed my ability to be in front of a camera for several years, and couldn't care less. This was incredibly damaging, as I started booking, and was being paid too much to doubt my performance, but I couldn't get him out of my head. David is not a teacher, but a groupie. He loves reminiscing on his education at Yale with his Hollywood classmates, and ogling at the youngest shinest actress in the class in desperate hopes that he can be the guru to the brightest star. He loves talking about the Hollywood industry, and sharing tidbits such as "the best actor on set is going to show up late, hungover, and still do great work" (the worst advice to EVER give a group of actors desperate to 'make it', because you will NEVER work with that ethic), "change a line in your audition to get the part" (an insane notion unless you want to get fired from the job for your inability to maintain continuity), or "everyone wants to be an actor with a hard mouth and soft eyes" (an absolutely ridiculous superficial distraction to add to an actor's work). After his class, I continued working, scared to share my experience, but found that anytime his class came up, other actors, agents, and real acting teachers agreed wholeheartedly with my experience. It wasn't until I booked a film with one of David's devoted students that I saw the real damage he had on an actor. His student, playing a supporting role, wouldn't shut up when the director was trying to work with me and the other lead, ejaculating David's worst advice all over our first table read. I'm not saying he doesn't have any advice to offer at all, as any teacher has insight and experience that is valuable, but I don't think David remembers how to teach, and I found his class more hurtful than helpful. If you are an amazing actor, with a beautiful face and taut body, you will have a great time in David's class. He will coddle you and make you feel like the star you could be without him, but if you're looking for an acting teacher, do not study with David Rotenberg.

I completely agree with Coco R's review. David's a guy that loves to hear himself talk, and…read morepositioning himself in a place of power. I have a feeling that, thankfully, with online forums like yelp giving people a voice, and digital technology being so accessible (i.e. having access to your own camera etc), this style of acting teacher/acting guru will become more and more antiquated.
