It has one of the best foie gras I've ever tasted (even compared to three star Michelin restaurants in Paris). Still highly recommend. Make a reservation during the high season. Ps. I know some Americans have complained about the service. This is France. People dislike fussy overbearing service here. And, there is one waiter for the entire restaurant. For service, staff are very professional and nice unlike the restaurants across the street. They know how to work under stress and pressure. They take their time talking to customers and making suggestions when it comes to ordering. For food, we ordered mostly dessert and drinks. I can say our dessert tasted amazing. They were some of the best desserts I have tried so far. I highly recommend making a reservation since this cafe gets really busy. We were lucky that we're able to get in without reservations.

Walked in and there were many locals eating there. The menu is on a hand-written chalk board and daily specials written on chalk board cards. After drooling over the menu, we selected to start with the truffles risotto, then baked cod and duck. Since we were sharing the risotto, the chef decided to plate our portions separately. It was a huge portion and topped with lots of truffles. The cod cold use some salt, but it was cooked perfectly. It was moist on the inside. The duck was a perfect medium and the outside was completely crusted and crispy. The reduction sauce was amazing. Wish I have more room, so I can use the bread to sop up the sauce. They looked good, and the fact that a sign advertised €5 sangria. We were sold. We ordered hoummos, which came with a baguette. Perfect starter to hold us over to our mains. My friend ordered the beef tartar, which came with an egg on top, fries, and salad, while I chose the local plate, filled with all local ingredients. It was some of the yummiest and different types of food we have had since in Nice, since most restaurants advertise pizza & seafood. This is by far my favourite spot, and I will definitely come back. The only reason I gave four stars is because we think they forgot about us after a while. We ended up being sat in there for about just under two hours before we left, as our main courses took about an hour to come.
