Decent hamburger. Burgers are literally kids sized and messy, extremely greasy with the ingredients all over the place, the lettuce is excessively used and always falls out of the burger, the tomato slices are too thin and sometimes forgotten in the order, and if you decide to ask for onions they fill that thing up with what seems to be enough for several burgers. They give you the smallest sauce container you can possibly imagine and expect it to be enough for your fries and burger, speaking of that sauce it's delicious but makes most people gassy and bloated, which can be confirmed by anyone who has visited the place. They have only 3 ketchup bottles available for guests but the restaurant is always full and it is impossible to get your hands on one of those bottles. The amount and quality of fries each person receives in each visit is always unequal, sometimes you hardly get any fries while your partner gets a plate full of fries, it is almost like they just grab a random bunch and throw them on there. These hamburger meals definitely won't satisfy your hunger or taste buds, it will leave you disappointed and make you regret your visit, trust me i've been there enough times to know.
The customer service was originally great, now it's just regular. They had a really friendly waiter who would always greet and serve everybody gently, he sometimes slipped in extra fries or a large drink, he was friends with most students and customers, but he was replaced. Now the waiter still brings your order gently and greets you but he is less charismatic and sometimes messes up your order or drink with somebody else's. Also, their is not enough tables for all the guests, people often are forced to take their food to go because there is no room to sit, the line to get your order is always ending several feet away from the entrance of the establishment. The wait time can be up to 20 minutes which is a hassle especially if you are a student and don't want to be late to class. The customer service is not bad but definitely not good enough to make you feel welcomed like at home.
The burger meal is extremely overpriced yet called a "student special" , it costs about 8 dollars for a mediocre burger with a small drink, and very few fries, and possibly no room for you to dine in. If you really think about it, that same quality of a burger can be bought literally anywhere else for no more than 6 dollars and with enough seating for everyone. The price was originally about 5 dollars for a bigger burger and more fries but was raised over the years and the size of the meal has been reduced. You can go to Mcdonalds and purchase the same meal for 5 dollars, assured dining table, and very little waiting time. Pete's place might not be the best place to visit, the mediocre quality of the burgers and bad customer service really doesn't seem worth wasting 8 dollars and several minutes of your time.
