Pete's place is horrendous. It is by far the worst place to have lunch or dine in the town of Exeter California. Trust me I have been there way too many times and nothing has ever pleased me. I have also asked others of their experience there to see if by chance I was the only one disappointed. But with little to no surprise they have also said that Pete's Place is nowhere near as good as other places even as close as next door. You could walk less than 40 feet and be at a better place than Pete's Place and actually be happy with your order. Pete's place is "known for" their burgers and fries. But would you really want to pay a whopping 7 dollars for a burger, fries, and a drink when other places charge 5 dollars with even better taste? Every visit I've had at Pete's place upsets my mood by the amount of fries they give me. I almost want to walk out and not pay every time they serve my food by the displeasing amount of fries. The most amount I have ever got was 8 and that wasn't nearly as much to get me half full including the burger. I'm sure you would want to get full if you're paying $7 too. Pete's place also serves sodas but with 90% ice. Who wants to order a soda to get a couple sips and having to ask the waiter for a refill? Not me, and I'm sure you wouldn't either so let's not go there and pay a ridiculous amount of money that will give us an unworthy amount of food. There are many other places in town that serve the exact same thing but for a less amount of money and with even more fries and more soda. Frosty King, the place next door is not only cheaper but it comes with tastier fries and more soda. So why settle at Pete's Place when there is restaurants around the corner that will make you joyful. read more

As a newer resident of Exeter California, I have tried to make it to all the restaurants in Exeter. During lunch, the businesses in the downtown area are very busy due to the high school's students lunch period. This is not the best time to go to these place due to the long lines to order and pick up your food. The best place I have gone to is Pete's Place. They have a student special that includes a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. This is one of the more expensive places to go as a student at the High School. The meal is about seven dollars. This is two dollars over the average meal. Even though the price might be a turn off the food is worth the price. Their fries are very good and each meal comes with a delicious fry sauce that makes the fries taste so much better. Of course, this is not the best place to eat if you are looking for a healthy meal but there are options for everyone. The service here is great to my standards, a high school student. The employees are very kind and understand that the high school students are in a hurry. They are fast and I always get my meal in enough time to eat and make it back to school before the bell rings. This is hard to find when you only have 40 minutes for lunch. Overall I think that Pete's Place is a great place to go if you want a great meal in an efficient amount of time. read more

Pete's Place is a wonderful place to get food with your family. I highly recommend the burgers as compared to fast food, they are made fresh and are delicious. The secret sauce that goes with the burger and fries is really tasty and popular with whoever comes to Pete's. Even though the burgers are the best thing to get, they sell other foods as well, like Mexican food, salads, soups, and sandwiches. Considering that almost everything is homemade, the price is mostly fair. My only complaint is the hours, I wish they could stay open longer at night. The place is a little hidden, not really noticeable or stands out as much. The building is quite small, but the people here are very friendly to the customers. This is an ideal place to have lunch or dinner with your family. There is wonderful staff, everyone is very kind and attentive. The owner himself is nice and will greet you and have a conversation with you if that is what you look for in a restaurant, an inviting environment. My first reaction when I walked into this restaurant I was kinda shocked I was expecting a cute little restaurant but instead it was a little ghetto, but then again I thought that I can't judge a book by its cover so I waiting at the front like the sign said to and I was quickly seated and got asked my drink. After looking at the menu they took my order and not that long later gave me my meal. I've been to Pete´s more than once and I absolutely love their cheeseburger special. It comes with a cheeseburger fries and a drink and the best part is the price. The service was great the food was great and I can honestly say I will never judge a book by its cover again. I've gone to this restaurant quite a bit and after I pay and am about to leave they always say, ¨hope you have an amazing day,¨ and It´s just the little things like that make my day. I have been to plenty of restaurants so far in my long, amazing, wonderful life. I never went to Pete's Place until today. I went there to reunite with an old buddy of mine. Didn't really know what to expect out of it, but wow. The workers there were so nice. Nothing but happiness, calm, chill vibes. They work fast, big smiles. You will most likely not have a problem there. It is just amazing. The environment in the place is very welcoming. You will not have to wait for a table and the food is pretty fast. The food, oooh girl the food is amazing, remarkably bomb! One bite and it will make you want to put your conditioner before your shampoo. It will make you want to put on your shoes before your socks. School food isn't really the best option when it comes to food at lunch, since we are able to get off campus we have a variety of options. My favorite would be Pete's Place because their student meal is the right size and amount, also the walking distance from my school to Pete's Place is perfect. I have enough time to walk there and eat there because their service is very fast. The price of the meal is not too expensive or not too cheap, it fits the meal. My favorite thing about Pete's place is the service because as soon as you walk in you get greeted with a warm smile from the cashier. Also, when you ask for extra sauces they are very nice about it and give you as many as you want. The service at Pete's Place is also very fast and the food is always tasty and warm. If you like homestyle food then Pete's is for you. It's small and quaint with a touch of local Exeter appeal. Why would you go to a restaurant that's local and the owners don't live in the same town? Well Pete and his wife do!! Don't get me started on the food. If your looking to dine on a budget and get a lot of food this is it. Lots of big corporate places charge you a arm and a leg and give you food like it's short on supply. The food comes out fresh and flavorful. There isn't anything on the menu that I have yet to not like. And to top it all off the double chocolate cappuccino cake is a chocolate lovers heaven. My favorite is the peanut butter pie. If you love ice cream, the splits and sundaes are the size of mountains. I try to always finish of with dessert or even a ice cold milkshake, but sometimes it's hard with all the food on the plate. I've visited Pete's Fresh and Grill multiple times and I've ordered the same thing every time. I always get their Cheeseburger combo for the price of only $5.39. The meal is very worth the price because the burger and the side of fries are amazing. The restaurant is a very clean place because they're constantly cleaning. The tables are always clean before you sit down. It's also a nice place to be because the music in the back makes it feel a lot better. The customer service is very friendly to everyone and brings anything that you would ask them for. The only problem is that sometimes they take awhile on giving your food because they're always orders ahead of me. read more

I go here for lunch and I get the cheeseburgers.They are made fresh. The restaurant gets packed on Mondays you can't even get in but the service is excellent.The owner is a really nice he always greets you and also says goodbye when you leave. The student specials are really cheap so that everyone can buy food during lunch.The place is really quiet during the afternoon. Pete's Place is one of the best burger spots in Exeter. Pete and his wife make everything fresh from the burgers, the steak fries and even his own hamburger sauce that is mouthwatering. And the prices are fair and it is a nice place to go have lunch or even dinner with the family. Frosty king may be right next to Pete's but with Pete you get to see and smell the fresh burgers getting cooked you can't resist it and the prices compared to Frosty King is much cheaper. Last time I went to Petes the experience was great overall. My favorite meal to get is the student special which consists of a delicious, fresh burger and tasty fries served with a cold drink all for a surprisingly low price. The service was manageable considering it was lunch time for the nearby EUHS. The staff are positive and nice and will always fulfill your needs even if they are overwhelmed by customers. Pete's Place is satisfactory in many ways. They have great cuisine, and the waiters are firendly and always check in on you. The only thing that the restauraunt lacks in is the atmosphere and decor, its a bit bland, but the food definitly makes up for it. The price is right for the quality and quantity of food you get.
