The food is hot, fresh, and delicious, and the staff have been very friendly the times we've gone. We usually go for the chicken sammiches, but on this visit we also tried the chicken fries, and a milkshake. Everything is good, and the quality is very consistent. If you like chicken, you gotta check out The Chicken Spot! Also, the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get.

The food is a 1 out of 10 for me!... reason being I waited 23 minutes for my food placed the order at 3:10 and received it At 3:33 nevertheless this is my first time in the establishment I heard a lot of great reviews from friends who have tried it and thought to give it a try on Christmas Day ...now I'm thinking if the food takes this long it has to taste great right... WRONG ordered 3 pcs tender/$13.49 fry combo $1.50 8pc chicken $13.49 fry combo $4.99 Total $36.31 For that price it doesn't sit well with me that I was unhappy about the food breading on chicken was burnt on some ends and soggy on others some of the chicken breading fell of because of how greasy the chicken is and overall didn't not taste good I gave it 4 good bites but I couldn't bare anymore. Money down the drain. I could've gone to in and out or I could have gone to McDonalds but the fact that I choose here should be a reason the food should taste good for people to come back for years to come Won't be back very disappointing..

It wasn't busy inside and it was clean. I like the hand painted art on the walls. It did have an odd smell in the place that I couldn't tell if it was just from the constant frying of chicken and oil or if there was an exposed sewer line. The food was great! The chicken was crisp, moist, and flavorful. The mac by itself was creamy and perfectly cooked. The hot seasoning actually had some heat to it with a slight sweetness. The bowl came with a cup of creamy sauce, which to me had a weird tangy flavor. I didn't end up using it. The portion was huge! I could've had some for lunch and the rest for dinner, but I ended up splitting it 3 ways with my two little ones. They thought it was spicy, but still ate it. Next time, I'm going to try the plain chicken with mac.

We both experienced similar symptoms, which makes me very concerned that something we ate may have been contaminated or improperly handled. I understand that it can be difficult to know exactly what caused an illness, but having two people get sick after eating at the same place is extremely concerning. I hope the restaurant takes food safety and proper food handling seriously because this was a horrible experience, and I will not be returning. 07-27-26

Inside we haven't seen "yet", but definitely plan on coming back after this visit. My first words after taking a bite of everything in my box combo was; "this spot is better". Have a lot of love for the OG location on Mooney, but this spot, it's giving them a run for their money. Service is on par at both locations. Food has been "good" not great the last time I went to the Mooney location, but it is always so dang busy and so far from where I live, never really go as much as I would like to. Jess thought we should try this location tonight and I'm glad she suggested it! We got (2) Box Combos, got our chicken and fries extra crispy, our toast B.O.B or "Buttered on Both Sides" and some Honey Mustard to go along with our Canes Sauce. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious! 5 all day to this location and sorry to say but I'm happy they aren't so busy.. yet. Gotta appreciate these moments you can pull up and get some Canes without a line out the drive thru. Will definitely be back sooner than later.

There is also a walk-up window in the front and a few tables on the side for outdoor seating that he says they plan to fix up for customers. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was very good. The waffles were soft and had a good flavor while the chicken was freshly fried with good batter. The only thing is that the chicken was a little soggy because it was hot when they put it in the box, so I would recommended they air out the chicken with some ventilation in the box. The prices are great and the quality of the food is great as well. Definitely recommend. The wait can be a bit long because the food is fresh, but it was under 10 minutes, and it seems you can fix that problem by ordering online.
