Famous Burger in Plainview

My husband has been wanting to try this place since he saw them on TikTok. Today was the day. He was interested in the hand ground beef and the homemade fresh buns. Guys...... this place did not disappoint. When you enter, the chef lets you know how to order. Basically, check the menu, order next door at the grocery store to pay and the cashier gives you a slip of paper with your order. You take the slip of paper back to the burger area and hand it to the chef. We ordered 2 pastrami burgers, 2 western burgers, 4 small fries and the chicken nugget meal. The price mark is decent-$9.99 burgers. It was $68 and some change. They have a few different burgers and sides. I appreciate the fact that the menu isn't overwhelming but enough options for people to choose their liking. The place is small but there are a few seats inside and out. There's an attached grocery store so if you need to grab something for the house or drinks this place has the convenience of well.....a convenience store. I had the western burger and fries. The western burger has a hefty meaty patty, thick onion rings, cheese, bacon, bbq sauce, tomato and lettuce. The bread is so delicious! The first bite just melted in my mouth. All the contents in the burger meshed well. My husband had the pastrami burger. He actually said it was better than the popular joint in Porterville and the other chain burger in town. It was just as juicy and hefty as the western burger. My husband usually chasing his burgers with a regular burger but he said he didn't need one. I didn't know that was a thing dudes did but ok? The fries were good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I'd totally go back again

Amazing. Best burger I've had in years. Halal restaurant with beef bacon and high quality meat never frozen also halal. Buns are baked in house. Hidden gem forsure. Definitely returning. It's in plainview at the time of this review, worth the drive 100%.

It's been 1 year and 3 months since I last ate here. I thought I'd give them a second chance but nope, same scam. Now I have to dig through my trash to find the receipt so I can go pay them a visit. Last time this happened, I think it was March 2024. The manager or owner whoever it was told me there's a password on the card terminal that only he can access to re-process sales and that he "accidentally hit a button" that caused it. I call BS. My gut says: never come back here. Once I find the receipt, I'll post a photo showing no tip. If the owner tries to show a receipt with a tip added, then they forged it and I'll demand to see the CCTV footage of me signing that receipt. How does this keep happening to me? And how does no one else ever check their bank notifications? Found the receipt here's the photo. Update: 6/24/2025, 1:00 PM I went to speak with the manager or owner. The lady at the register said they haven't seen the owner in weeks. She told me I could take cash on the spot or wait for him. I was like, "Weeks? Yeah, no. I'm not waiting weeks for my $2.18 back." So I took the cash. I didn't need to play the long game with the bank which can take months or sue for $2 (which, ironically, could later cost the owner hundreds of thousands in court and recovery fees... plus the $2). And yes, I'm that petty. If you know your card terminal is doing this, and you didn't even argue when I mentioned being overcharged then why haven't you changed your terminal or processor in the 1 year and 3 months since it last happened? It's as if you're the one doing it. Trying to quietly score an extra couple bucks per customer. Some might say, "It's just $2, let it go." But if they're doing this to every customer, all day, every day? That adds up. It's like those movies where a bank teller notices one cent going to waste, writes some code to collect the spare change, and ends up making millions. her hands were visibly shaking when handing me the $2 back. she knew. didnt even argue nor deny it. lost my business forever can't keep allowing this to happen, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." yelp wont let me post the receipt but you can see my review on google. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/geougc-cs/AB3l90D63s_eonILt4wyWUPs59rT2WsdgXs8Bpv9KHj9yBplyY44I5YT2ZzPGAEfgx1Qo108qOO0wKlBozVt2_g4SgXh1CcDOyQ_U7bYIwB_O1mXmG0fZOgVLB811yRzGrnYX5CRwO3CxgTdTYXv=s3360-w3360-h1798-rw

Actually everything needs bacon! Anyway, the wait in the drive thru line after I ordered was a bit long but when I got home and opened my bacon ORTEGA cheeseburger, it was so beautiful. It spoke to me and said, thanks for stopping by Super Burger, I've been waiting for you! I even called to speak to the manager, which always scares the staff. Manager wasn't there but I had to tell the person who answered that the bacon Ortega cheeseburger I just tasted was the best burger I've had in years and years. Besides Benny's Taco Shop cheeseburgers. The price of this giant cheeseburger was terrific. Well worth the wait and cost. I even took the time to take a picture for your pleasure. The cheeseburger was so big I had leftovers today. Still great!!! Thanks Super Burger. I may try the pastrami sandwich. I've always wanted Ortega chilies in my cheeseburger. This is the first place that had it as a burger. The only thing I didn't order was pickles and onions as I prefer neither. The sauce was great. Could use a bit less.

It's a must stop !! so I was coming down the mountain and realized I only had a very little time left before they closed, so I got there right as they were stopping taking orders (3:45) maybe even a couple minutes late, but she took mine anyways and was happy to do so without any problem, which is the first awesome thing I will say about this experience. I wish I would've caught her name, because she made my day !!Second thing I would like to mention is the price and how huge the portions are. The price was comparable to everywhere else and it was not marked up for being how far it was away from the actual Kernville town. If you don't know, there's only so many places to eat in the Kernville town and up on the mountain, especially for vegetarians, so I feel like I've pretty much tried them all except for some strange reason I haven't tried the McNally's down in the Kernville town, but will now !...But what I wanted to mention, and I will name some other places nameless, but I've ordered stuff and spent $20+(which I feel is normal these days unfortunately) and left still feeling hungry. But not at McNally Burgers !! I ordered the impossible burger, which was huge and I also ordered a large side of fries, freaking delish !!! The only thing I'm bummed about is that I've been coming up here for about five years now and I haven't stopped here sooner. Bravo McNally's !! Thank you for having an awesome veggie option on the menu for us I will definitely start being a regular customer up the road and in town ! And I haven't checked yet, but please put some awesome veggie option on the menu at the steakhouse for me when I come back up !

They fresh ground the steak daily to make the burgers. Really great…read morePlease see picture for correct hours.

I went to The Hamburger Stand on Saturday, 20 September 2025, at 1726PDT, after a day of meandering the SR-190. I typically end my day with a classic American meal. Par for the course will find me chowing down on an #AllAmerican #cheeseburger, #onionrings, and #chocolateshake. And, that's EXACTLY what I got at The Hamburger Stand and their version is DEEEEELICIOUS!! Of note, I'm a no frills kinda guy, so I'm not always diggin' that high-brow foodie stuff. But, rather, I'm typically seeking out comfort foods. Foods I was raised on. Foods that brings me back to my youth. Those days when a bite into a good burger quickly hurls me back to a distant memory with my Family or Friends, while its savoriness keeps my taste buds, heart, and stomach happily sated. And, THAT'S what The Hamburger Stand's did for me. I got their Regular Cheeseburger Meal combo of cheeseburger, small order of french fries, and a medium soda for $7.99. After I asked, the Owner said he would switch out onion rings for the fries and a chocolate shake for the soda. And, honestly, I can't recall if he charged me extra for it; I assumed he did, but I really should've checked, because food costs can be hard for a Business Owner. So, the next time I come back (yes, I plan to return), I'll be sure to add a bit more to the tip, along with an explanation. I love being up in the mountains - I spent the day driving California's SR-190 to Ponderosa - so, The Hamburger Stand's ambiance and seating are super cool. The woodsy feeling brought me back to the mountains of the United States, Austria, Germany, or Switzerland; and, I'm actually not joking! When I got to The Hamburger Stand, there was a small group of young Kids and a Dad and his Daughter who were waiting for their order. Overhearing the Owner taking a phone order, I heard him say he was unexpectedly busy and he was the only one working that day -- trademarks of a dedicated Business Owner and Entrepreneur. Taking my order, he summarily apologized for being under-staffed, so I let him know I empathized with him. Having owned a small bistro and I was once a worker, leader, supervisor, and manager I've gone through the exact same issues, so I let him know that I was not in a hurry. He was grateful. While watching him work, it was obvious he was a seasoned restaurant Owner - he was never frazzled, answered questions and phone calls adeptly, and worked the kitchen like a pro. The Owner brought me my meal and I then said grace, thanking The Lord for this meal, asking Him to bless the Business Owner, their Staff, Customers, and Suppliers. From the first bite to the final swipe of the napkin, the cheeseburger was perfect (after I put in the ketchup), the onion rings were scrumptious and perfectly cooked, and the chocolate shake was silky smooth. Don't laugh, but the red plastic tray, red-and-white checkerboard paper mat, and simple napkins completed my comfort food setting. Lol Again, from the ambiance, customer service, and meal, The Hamburger Stand gets 5-stars from me. The Business Owner was working alone on a Saturday fall afternoon while adeptly handling the customers, phone calls, and kitchen speaks of his passions for customer service and the art and science of the hospitality industry. GOD bless him and his Family!
