A quick pitstop on our way back to so Cal from Central Cal. The sign intrigued me. Best burger in the valley. One has to really be on their game to call themselves the best. Not sure what makes them the best. I was hoping for something more. The burgers are super duper thin, not even 1/4 pounder. Super disappointed. Too much bun not enough meat. Service was not friendly at all. The guy at the counter made no effort to engage with us or show any enthusiasm on what they had. We asked what was in a certain burger, he answered. We were on the road and needed sustenance so we googled food near us. We decided to take a chance on Tipton Burgers. Ordered the pastrami to split and damn. Really good. The bread was good, n the pastrami was flavorful and not full of unchewable bits like some budget friendly places have. Service was quick and friendly. Bathroom was a little scary so thats why 4 stars. We'd return for that sammich if every driving through and hungry again. read more

I drive through Tipton about once a week on my way to Bakersfield on 99. I noticed that the Yelpers have not provided a review for a restaurant in Tipton. Farmers Burgers is a good option for a hamburger if you are in the area, but I wouldn't quite make it a destination restaurant. The restaurant is located in a fairly active strip mall on old 99 west of the freeway. Time has been a little cruel to the strip mall, but it is fully occupied. It is easier accessed for southbound traffic than north bound from 99, but not that difficult. The dining room is adequate in size, clean, but well used. The day I was there at around noon, it was about half full of customers who appeared to be locals and return customers. That is always a good indicator. There is a sign on the exterior, "Best Burgers in the Valley." I've seen that before and the menu is very similar to Buzz's in Goshen or Doc's in Visalia. I think they may be owned by the same family. That is a good thing. I only ordered a middle of the road hamburger and was really pleased with it. The patty was preformed, but they toasted the bun nicely; the lettuce, tomato and onion were fresh and they applied just the right amount of a mayo-mustard sauce. I wasn't very hungry going in, but I was really satisfied. For ~$3.50, I would prefer this burger to most chain fast food offerings. The fries looked really good. I will stop and eat here again. read more

Omg. Best Jalapeño avocado burger I've ever had. We'll be back. Great service and great food. 5 stars on Saturday, no stars on Tuesday. Burgers over cooked, barely tasted avocado. Guy behind the scratching his beard then touching the food. I couldn't believe the difference. The two young girls that's served us on Saturday were awesome.
