We stopped at Billy's for lunch. It was a great family restaurant which was clean. I ordered a club sandwich and my husband opted for a cheeseburger. We shared a basket of fries which was plenty for both of us. The server was friendly and cheerful and brought our food quickly. The prices were very reasonable. We would stop there again!! read more

Went there today and had excellent service and food. I had the fish salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Hubby had double burger with fresh cut fries with brown gravy. Everything was so good. Never heard of a haddock salad but it was really good and also a healthy meal. read more

I ordered the chicken and waffles because I had gotten it here years ago and liked it but this place has really gone down hill since I had last ate here. Have not been here since I was a kid, when it was "Burger Land." Was driving through with the family and stopped for lunch. Great diner atmosphere and pleasant service. We tried the deep-fried stromboli and the "foot-long-special".......(yup)...... Large portions and quality diner food at a respectable price. Speaking of, it happened to be a Wednesday, when you can get a kid's meal free with a purchase of an adult meal. Whhhaaaattt?? Kids ate for FREE. Good burger joint! Large portions and good prices. Nice place to go and eat with the family or a good lunch spot. Appetizers are large.

As a salesman over 3 decades, I used to search out comfortable places just like Billy's to keep in my book for road trips. Friendly service, honest food at really great prices. Breakfast is hearty and a great value. The pancakes are huge. If you're adventurous, try the scrapple. For lunch or supper, try the fried fish. You won't have room for dessert, I never do, but I've heard they're pretty good, too. Definitely worth the short drive off I-80 (Exit 120) if you're passing through. If you're heading west, avoid driving back through town and just scoot up Rt.153 and rejoin I-80 at Exit 111. Remember, cash only, that's how they keep their prices so low. read more

My sweetie and I stopped in at Billy's for a late lunch and a little break from the road on the way back to NYC. It's "in town," not immediately off the highway, but it is completely worth the trip. The decorations are delightfully kitschy and reminded me of every aunt's house I've ever been in. The waitress and other staff were friendly and accommodating, and the place clearly is maintained with pride. It's hometown goodness, folks. As for the burger we (wisely) shared: delicious!! It was freshly prepared with exactly the fixings we wanted and a great soft bun, and the fries were abundant (!) and just the way I like them (with just a little brown to them). The prices were dirt cheap to this city-dweller, especially given the quantity of food we got! This is not fast food, but it was promptly prepared, kindly delivered, and tasted so much better. Even if you're "just passing through," Billy's is worth a stop. read more

I was disappointed in the breakfast. They had the basics, but a full breakfast without butter leaves one to wonder, "Why not just go to a Dennys?" (Their prices are low, so I would not have been offended if they charged $0.05 per pat, but if I'm eating out, I would like the basics) The rest of the breakfast was served well, but was not noteworthy. read more

This restaurant is now known as "Billy's Family Restaurant", but there is definitely still an emphasis on burgers. We stopped in for lunch on a long road trip to take my son to college in the midwest. A little research of the area off of Route 80 led us to this homestyle modest place and we could not have been happier with lunch. Firstly, the waitperson was vacuuming the restaurant and talking to the regulars when we arrived (late lunch - 2:30pm) and she immediately came over to us, apologized for vacuuming and welcomed us to our seats. She took our orders immediately and was quite attentive throughout the meal. My wife ordered the special burger (smoked) and my son and I ordered chicken sandwiches. All three meals were quite excellent. Fresh, tasty, well spiced. Fries were fresh and cooked perfectly. The drinks came in super large glasses and were re-filled without even asking. We left a hefty tip on a very reasonable bill. We should have had the pie, but didn't have "room". One of the regulars came in as we were leaving just for pie. He of course was met by a waitress with a first name greeting. Nice place, folksy charm, excellent food. 5 stars. read more

Have been going past Billy's for 30 years and we decided to finally stop. We got the 1/2 burger and fry special. The wait staff was friendly and very nice. The food arrived in a short time. The burgers were excellent and the fries were excellent in fact there was enough fries on each plate to feed a family of 4. Lol. Will be stopping again!! read more

Someone recommended me to come here for a "cultural" Clearfield experience. LOL! Looks like a shack from the outside but it's actually a cool local diner inside. They have some cool random local mugs. We came the morning, but they were really nice and served us lunch. I had a cheese burger 1/4 lb. Meat was on the dry, well done side and texture was rather dense. Burger was okay, but not my preference. Maybe I'll try breakfast next time. read more

This a small, low-key place. Does not accept credit cards. I tried the burger and fries, which was solid. The burger is nothing out of the ordinary (but it is better than Denny's). The wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Billy's isn't a "must go to", but if your in the area and want something simple it will do the trick. read more

Billy's is by far the best breakfast in Clearfield. I must say that I have never been to Billy's for lunch or dinner, so I can't comment on the majority of the menu. Portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. The steak and cheese omelet with their homemade chili on top is probably the best thing I have ever eaten. read more

Being a resident in clearfield, Billy 's always provides good food. Its always tasteful and usually we all leave with our plates clean. But recently we came in and the food was good but the sloppy Joe I got wasn't very hot it was warm. Which would have been fine but I cannot eat warm meats. So I kindly asked if I could get a new one. My grand daughter works in the restaurant business and knows that sometimes things can't always be right. While the server was amazing and kind. We both heard the chef complaining that my order was hot when it came out the first time. My grand daughter and I were not happy. She was supposedly the owners family but you would think she would want the business to escalate. Hearing her complain about us as customers was very rude. My grand daughter wanted to say something but I told her not too. The food that came put was hot and still very good and that's why the rating didn't drop. You're server on Jan 2 saved this review. will not go back . went in for supper as a family meal waitress was not friendly at all. my son and i got our meal but the waitress told my husband it would be a few minutes yet for his stromboli. my son and i had our meal done and my husband still hadnt got his meal . i went up to the window and ask about it because waitress never came back around to even check to see how things were or if we needed anything else. when i ask the owner she said wasnt it to go and i repied no just the wings which the waitress was told from the beginning. she did know that it was for eat in or she wouldnt of told him it would be a few minutes yet she never bothered to check on it either. at this point my husband said its to go now since we were done with our meal. we were told that we werent being charged for the stromboli .at that point its like the owner was oh well . to us it didnt change the fact that we were out as a family for a meal together and my husband had to sit there and not have his.needless to say we will not go back there to eat . i will say the food was good but the attitude a nd service was not good at all. the place my husband and i work at orders breakfast there a lot also which my husband and i will no longer be participating in it is sad because the food is good there but the service needs some pride put into it.. i might add that they were not busy either so that is no excuse read more
