First time going Sunday night ., the very nice girl took my order at 6:51pm the place was busy there was a nice guy cooking .,, customers that came in were very friendly as we wait for our food.. the people that were inside dining were families that worked there.. one girl that worked there went back and got her drinks., but as still sitting there the other people that wer coming in got there food .,, and they were 1 or 2 people getting there food first ., still waiting I see the cook guy on his phone and eating .,, my ticket was the only one on the real ..my order was 2 burgers , two chicken strip baskets. 1 small and 1 large shake 2 sodas. 1 fry, 1 onion ring 1 fried mushrooms which were $66.97 ok that was ok but the burger was old bun the tiny thin as paper meat .., finally we received our order at 7:48pm

Stopped by to try the milkshakes, I couldn't believe they had 100 flavors. I tried the piña colada and it had chunks of pineapple, so delicious.

Look how big these chicken strips are!

We arrived on a Monday around 4:30pm after a nature walk in this beautiful little town. The Hamburger Stand had consistent customers but we were quickly able to place our orders and the wait wasn't bad at all. There was one woman cooking and one running the register, cleaning tables, and serving tables. The walls were lined with historic photos, heirlooms, and collectables from a century ago and told a beautiful story of old logging times. The server was very nice and served us our food at our table. The sodas were super sweet and sugary and had more flavor due to the extra syrup I suppose they add to their drinks. We really enjoyed them. My wife and I ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and they were awesome! I'd never had fried pickles before and these were cut into strands like french fries, battered and fried; crispy and crunchy. We dipped them in the homemade ranch dressing and they crunched with every bite and were very flavorful. My wife ordered Half of a ranch hand and said that the burger was extremely juicy and filling. To say my chicken strip basket was filling would be an understatement. The chicken strips were so large I would swear that each one was half a chicken breast. They were juicy and crunchy and the homemade ranch and bbq sauce was excellent. Their fries are also clearly made in house, salted to perfection and crispy and fresh. We both put back all the calories we had burned off on our walk and then some, but it was enjoyable, affordable and extremely satisfying food with a pleasant view out the window of the mountains as a backdrop. We both highly recommend Springville's Hamburger Stand and will be stopping in again very soon!

Although they…read moreweren't pretty they were really good so I was shocked when I received my order and it was completely different fish. Previously the fish in the fish and fries basket were wedge shaped planks that were thick and you got quite a few so it was very feeling. This time the fish was much prettier looking but was thinner and you definitely didn't get as much fish as before. It was crispy and cooked well and I think I would've liked it much better if it's what I would've been expecting but sure didn't know that they had changed the menu until I receive the food. Fries were OK they could've used a little more seasoning or salt. They should change their photo of the fish basket since it has changed so much though you can see from the photos I've submitted that I have an older photo of what the fish used to look like. Again this newer one was fine it just was not what I expected because of what I had had before.

The prices seemed to have held basically steady which makes me happy. The rest of the reasonable sized menu is burgers and fried foods. Solid fast food options not the healthiest. Now the flour tacos are just plain hamburger meat. To top it off, they're only half the size they used to be. The "Coleman's" steak sandwich is now almost $10 just for the sandwich! It isn't even close to what the original tasted like. This place will be out of business soon. They have all of Coleman's old recipes handed down to them in a book. They changed every one of them or got rid of them to cut costs. I know this will be the last time I eat here and I've been eating here for 50+ years. Guaranteed I'm not alone. What's that old saying? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Like other reviewers have mentioned there still are some of the original items from the old Colemans menu on this menu, which, I'm sure is appreciated by the people who grew up here. I ordered the steak sandwich combo, and it tasted pretty much like I remembered. It was very filling, it doesn't look like much, not too pretty, but it's a good sandwich especially if you want something a little different than a typical burger. People working at the drive-through window are always very nice and polite and I have not had an issue with any of my orders. You do need to wait a little longer than a typical drive-through, but I never mind. As I mentioned in a previous review I do wish it was easier to get in and out of the parking lot depending on traffic it can be a little tricky because of the location of the entry/exit spots and the timing of the traffic lights. They have a wide variety of foods so if you are feeding a family or group with different wants this would give you a pretty good choice of making everyone happy.

It's an Italian restaurant with Italian and Mexican dishes. It's located in the heart of the downtown Porterville. The downtown is the cutest with its charming brick sidewalks and modern street lamps with an old fashion look. The restaurant has a secure back parking lot with an entrance. Or you can enter from the front, the street parking is angled lots so no parallel to parking fussiness. They were are able to accommodate large parties if you make reservations in advance. My large-ish group were even able to get separate checks. Appreciate that. Our waitress did a great job handling our table and her other tables. We were immediately served our drinks and complimentary focaccia bread and olive oil n vinegar was brought to the table. I ordered the chicken parmigiana ($20) and requested no mozzarella cheese on top. The waitress informed me that there is some parmesan cheese sprinkled on the spaghetti noodles. Very attentive of her to ask. The plate and food came out hot. The chicken filet was thick but all so tender and moist. Nice amount of breading and without the mozzarella on top just like I requested. Excellent. The serving size was ample. The spaghetti sauce was tasty with a touch of sweetness. Not harsh tasting at all. The noodles were cooked to a perfect doneness. Having a HFCS aversion, I forgot to ask about the sauce but I had no effects. So I'm going go out on a limb and say the sauce has no HFCS.

Great food, atmosphere and service. The portions were HUGE so people know when ordering.read more
