    Tostada mixta

No mames!! I ordered a tostada mixta all I got was cucumber salad. No shrimp no fake crab. There food keeps getting worse.

    Pastor, lengua, pollo, carne asada

Came here during lunch and there weren't that many people. Surprisingly, it took a while for the food to come out. I got four tacos. Lengua - good but came out room temperature. Would've preferred it to be warmer Carne Asada- tasted like what you expect. The meat is a bit lean. No special flavoring or seasoning Al pastor - this one really stood out to me. Came out hot compared to others and the marinade is really good. I don't know how they flavored this but one of the best al pastor tacos I've had. Pollo - dry, lean meat. I'm used to dark meat but it was white meat. Tough and hardly any flavor. They charge you a credit card fee of 1 usd if your purchase is under 15. Not cool. Largest fee I've incurred so far for paying with a CC. This place overall is average. Not bad but not that good either. Small parking lot so expect to park on the street if you can't find anything.

23611 Ave 95 is the new address. Clean restaurant, with simple and delish food.

23611 Av. 95 is the address. Clean restaurant with good food. Lots of House Specials, which is great for a budget when you want to eat out. Plenty of parking.(First review... Yay!

My lunch. Mostly big chunks of fat, a little beef swimming in a pool of nasty grease. Missing the salad. Used to be great :(

They served my mother just what she wanted-a single hamburger patty! Thanks for accommodating my Mom. Really, that was great!

I love Mexican food and I'm 1/4 Mexican. This place has been around since 1976 so if I'm a bit…read moreharsh it's because they should know better. I checked Yelp but I neglected to sort by date. Some of the best reviews were many years ago. I ordered the chile verde burrito, wet, and my girlfriend ordered the fish taco Friday special. Chile verde has different sized pork chunks in a delicious green sauce but the meat was inconsistent in size with most pieces being rock hard, or fat/gristle. No pieces were tender. Chile verde should be tender. I can make better Chile verde in an Instant Pot with pork shoulder and a jar of Herdez green salsa. I trim my meat well though. No surprises. The fish tacos were attractive. They resembled fish sticks though. They had a bread crumb coating, were cooked earlier, and reheated before putting in the taco shell. Not beer batter fried aka Baja style. The taco shells were soft yellow corn tortillas with the texture of flour tortillas. These tortillas were really good! Avocado and fresh cilantro was a nice touch. No special fish taco sauce was used, but might improve the fish sticks. Rice was a solid hit for both of us. We make it like this at home with shrimp/tomato bouillon. The beans were ok. I ended up "returning" the inedible chile verde and they dutifully replaced it with a different burrito. The service was 5/5. The place itself is clean and neat and spacious. No complaints there.

We stopped by again yesterday when leaving Sequoia National Park, as we usually do, but honestly, I…read morethink we just had our best experience ever. There was a lot going on in town, which was shocking but we also came out of the park earlier than we normally do, but amazing enough Casa Mendoza wasn't very busy and we got seated immediately, and we just had the best server that we've ever had there, she was so polite and friendly and crazy efficient with our orders and getting them back to us asap. I didn't wanna fill up on beans and rice so I just went with an à la carte of three crispy tacos, and a tamale. I told her to put them all on one plate when they came out looking like the best à la carte plate I've ever seen; almost as if it was a menu item unto itself. Everything just had so much flavor, and the tamale is definitely in the top two of best tamales I've ever had. We will continue to come here after our Sequoia adventures for hopefully many more years to come

The chips were lightly seasoned and the salsa was flavorful. The kids had a good amount of options for food which is nice, other restaurants maybe have 3 or 4. The adult portions were huge! I had the carne and shrimp burrito and the shrimp were big. I didn't know they made burritos that big anymore. We definitely would like to come back next time we're in town
