I waited at the window for over five minutes before anyone came to the window they just kept walking by the window. It took 35 minutes to make a hamburger patty and mashed potatoes. The girl at the window is exceptionally rude and off putting. I had a decent hamburger from there about a week ago and I still thought it took too long but I'm gonna give them another chance because it look like the type of food my elderly mother would like to eat. I probably won't be back Edit: upon getting home - the INSTANT mashed potatoes were dry and cold. I had to add butter and milk and heat to make it eatable for me mother. I was only second in drive through. The service was slow and when I got to the line I only ordered a chili cheese burger. I wen to wait and it took quiet a while again hardly anyone there. They called my number and drove around again to empty drive through window and had to wait for check out girl to finish socializing with some guy before she decided to bring my order. The food is delicious and reminds me of when my dad used to grill out or cook. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is because most of the times I've gone the girl at the drive though looks like she dislikes me, or maybe just the interaction. Yes, of course, it may not be a five star luxury restaurant, but man the burgers are great! Every time my family and I are in Lubbock, its sooo nostalgic to go there and a must to dine! Seems all 5 stars reviews are fake. First of all it is not a fast food, we were waiting our food about 25 minutes. Service was awful.

Stopped at Pete's today and it was delicious. Our family of 6 shared a pastrami sandwich, hamburger, grilled cheese and chili cheese fries. Grilled cheese could have used more cheese, but everything was hot and delicious. Best chili cheese fries I have ever had. Still crispy even after plenty of chili and cheese poured on top. i am a regular customer at this particular pete's and as of today they will not get another dollar of my money ever again. i called in a order and was told one price ,then i got there to pick up food and was told another much larger price. then i mentioned it to the little kid workin register came up there rudely and said while rolling her eyes " i said it would b close to 15 dollars ". then i tried to tall to tell owner amd he lokked at me bleeu a.d came out and didnt do a damn am truly disappointed i have been wating thos place go for slowy tom i hope u read this amdaybe hire grown folks to work there. instead of giggling rude children. just know u have lost a customer that has been going to u for years. i was embarrassed,laughed at overcharged and i was suppose to get meals and only one was meal so every item was rung up separate. i use to luv this place now u couldnpay me to eat there. sorry tom read more
