In October I asked Pete's Carpet to remove and dispose of my 20-year-old carpeting and to install new carpeting through out my house. I had a great experience working with Delia and her team. My husband and I have 2 large dogs, so we needed something that would hold up. A few months later, I am happy to report that everything still looks brand new. I do feel like my home was probably more difficult than most because of the size of the rooms, the number of corners, stairs, and fireplaces, so there was a lot of more "detailed" work that needed to be done. For this reason, it was a 2 day project. We are very happy with the care that the installation team took to make everything look fantastic. We have gotten a lot of compliments from our families and friends about the look and feel of the carpet. We went with a super dense carpet fiber and a thick padding with a plastic coating (for the dogs, per Delia's recommendation). 10/10 would recommend and use them again. We just got done using Pete for the THIRD time! The first time was ~6 years ago to carpet the entire upstairs of our townhouse. We found them based on the referral of a friend who had just used them. When we moved into our new home, we decided to replace the upstairs laminate with carpet. After quoting a few local places, Pete won out again. Finally, when our basement flooded just recently, Pete came out to give us a quote, and although we again quoted it out, Pete won based on price (and known quality). They just finished installation and the 2 guys sent were on time (even a few minutes early) and worked extremely hard to get the job done. I wanted new flooring for the whole down stairs. Rip up carped, linoleum, etc. After dealing with a few National flooring guys who were trying to up sell me, Pete came out, gave me everything I wanted at the best price also. His installers were awesome. I mean, who rips up the linoleum, then goes over it with his bare hand to make sure all the staples are pounded in or pulled up because he knew we had a dog and kids walking on it that night. I wanted to support a local business especially during these hard times and after seeing the 5 star reviews I thought this would be the one. I called looking for a quote on a stair runner. The first time I called (on a Tuesday)the lady I talked to took my name and info along with number of steps I had and told her we already had a carpet in mind so I gave her that info as well. She said they used the brand of carpet we were looking at but she claimed she needed to talk to the supplier for pricing and would get back to me on Friday. Friday came and went with no word. I gave her until the next Tuesday figuring companies may be slower but still nothing. I called back again giving them benefit of the doubt again on a Tuesday. I talked to a different lady and she couldn't find any information that I had already called so I gave it again and answered some more detailed questions about what we were looking for. She apologized about the lack of contact the first time then told me she would email me a non contact quote the next day and that she would call me to let me know it was sent in case it went to spam. I felt confident in her promise but boy was I wrong to feel that way. Wednesday came and went with no call and no email in my regular inbox or in my spam account. I looked for the email for the next few days just in case they were busy or didn't get to it.
