This was not our first time here, we live down the street less then a mile away. We come here often, I'm not sure what happen to the other girls that used to be at the drive thru but the last few times have been a real struggle ; but today really took the cake. We get there the line is out to the street, but okay they are just busy...wrong come to find out they weren't taking orders on the speaker but at the window okay no big deal- The lady who we have never seen ask what we wanted, we (my daughter and I were in the car) ordered a grilled cheese sandwich combo (the lady said a combo?) I said yes please; And the fries well done and large Dr Pepper with extra ice and a small salad with the ranch on the side. She looked confused-went to ring it up and seemed lost came back gave me the total I thought it was a little much but maybe the prices went up whatever.. Anyone who thinks this is great food has retarded taste buds. The service is agonizingly slow and rude. The drive thru is on the passenger side, and i once waited 30 minutes in it for my side of zucchini and fries. When I got up to the window the lady was unconcerned and also tried to charge extra for a 2nd ranch dressing Tho other Petes on Firestone and Rives in Downey boasts superior food and service. We came to Pete's burgers because my girlfriend used to come here all the time before we started dating and she wanted me to try it. I ordered the pastrami chili cheese fries (OMG) bomb! The pastrami was juicy, nice and tender just the way it's supposed to be. The chili was good too, I wish they would've put a little bit more but everything went well together. They took forever to get my order from the drive thru and when they did I was spoken to extremely rude and she got my order wrong I told her 3 times. When I finally got to the window I repeated my order and gave her the money but she walked away and the money almost fell after 10 min she came back and gave me what I payed for and called me a stupid bitch as I was leaving. Customer Service Review: As a long time regular customer, a quick advise to Pete's cashier, Thania. It's extremely rude when a customer drives up to your establishment and you're straight rude. I even went out of my way to say hi to her but she completely ignored me. Took care of the transaction, not even a fake smile, she actually seem very upset. I like this place! I love their fries with some 1000 island by themselves or with a burger (chicken sandwich) either way there, Yummy! I live down the street an being that nothing much delivers we can walk here grab some dinner or even stop by after work since they have a drive thru. I've been here on times when the drive thru is packed which is mainly the weekends (Saturday) also the drive thru window is on the passenger side so be prepared to reeeeeach if you don't have a passenger lol.
