We had a really nice salad and for the main courses, we enjoyed the hogfish over polenta, poblano chicken breast and the three chili pork tenderloin. For dessert we loved the pistachio parfait with coffees. It's worth the $15 uber ride from the hotel zone. We would all agree that this is the best restaurant in Cancun! Amazing food, service, and ambiance. We were in the neighborhood and found this place because of all the reviews. Again our Yelp community are on point. This restaurant is fantastic. Although we were not in the mood for a heavy meal we ordered the salad and 2 soups. The seafood bouillabaisse and ginger lime soups were packed with flavor and filling. i've been traveling to cancun for 20 years. I don't know why it's taken me so long to try peters. I've been reading the reviews for quite a while. Finally made it. I was thrilled to find such a great restaurant here service is great. Started with the Foie gras and bouillabaise.... both excellent. That kind of sincerity is almost impossible to find, yet here it flows naturally, woven into every detail of the night. (The Jazz music playing is also a great touch) I found myself returning not once, not twice, but three nights in a row, an act that says more than words ever could. My favorites quickly became classics: Claudia's Salad, a fresh harmony of flavors that wakes the palate; the Seafood Linguini, where each bite tastes like the sea whispering through handmade pasta; and of course, the signature Peter's Parfait, a dessert that doesn't just end a meal, but crowns it. On my final night, the restaurant had already etched itself so deeply into my journey that I did something I've never done anywhere else in the world: I invited two new travelers from my hotel I had never met before to dinner, on me, simply so they too could taste this magic. I highly recommend breaking away from the Hotel Zone to have some fantastic European cuisine prepared by Chef Peter. Everything I had was simply excellent. I thought , well maybe just hipe or over enthusiasm, but what a way to get your socks knocked off! First of all an unassuming yet attentive staff and owners tended to our every need and explained the menu in detail. The special, pork chops and foie-gras was literally some of the best I've had. The creamy seafood medley was a taste of heaven on earth as fish chunks along with mussels, shrimp and lobster melted like butter in your palate with captivating flavors creating such a neuronal discharge I didn't know if I was having a seizure or out of body experience! First year I went, I couldn't decide on something I would like to try and after talking through my personal likes and dislikes, he actually personalized a dish for me so I could enjoy the experience with my family and friends. This year, I discovered that, after I got out of the taxi, I had left my phone in the taxi. Our server, Eddie, took charge right away, got my information and made phone calls. I was reassured that my phone would be at our resort when we got back that evening, and it was! Took a potentially stressful situation/evening and completely eased my mind. Kudos to both Peter and his staff on caring about their patrons/customers. We tried a bunch of restaurants during our trip to Cancun, from small "hole-in-a-wall" establishments where the staff spoke minimal English, to five-star resort restaurants where a live pianist serenaded us with music during the meal. Peter's was the best restaurant we had the pleasure of dining at and we returned for a second visit right before we left. Quick note about the service: while there were other restaurants where we were treated like royalty, I personally preferred how comfortable it was at Peter's. The service was more personal and attentive without being overbearing. The food: I was impressed by how meticulously each dish was prepared and how consistently delicious everything was. During the two visits, we tried a total of 9 things on the menu, and each one was carefully crafted to please our palate. Chef Peter's style favored using many layers of light flavors to enhance the natural taste of the ingredients. With each bite of the food, you would taste the initial flavor of the sauce, which led to secondary and tertiary flavors, which then gave way to the freshness of the food. Everything melded really well together, with certain ingredients sometimes being highlighted, but nothing ever overwhelmed other flavor profiles. For certain dishes, the aromas would also linger in your esophagus, and with each breath there was a pleasant aftertaste. I also wanted to specially call out the pork tenderloin. There's a reason why the first page of the menu highlighted this dish in particular. The pork was so tender that the texture was somewhat reminiscent of duck. If there's one thing you need to try, it's this one. Will definitely return on our next trip back. read more

Got the Mushroom raviolis to start and they were wonderful...the pasta was freshly made and not undercooked nor overcooked, the sauce was velvety and delicious and neither distracted from the center of the dish which was the freshly minced mushroom stuffed in the center...a dreamy dish. Had the Lamb Loin on the chipotle mash and an awesome pepper sauce (think French style black peppercorn reduction with a touch of cream.) the accompanying vegetables were seasoned more locally but amazingly complimentary to the lamb and pepper sauce. Had the poached pears and Brie for desert with the Chef's coffee and that was a perfect finish to the night. The wine we selected was a red blend from Argentina and did not disappoint.
