    Teriyaki Chicken Bowl
    Laurie S.

Had to rave about our meal! When your kids request Pete's Teriyaki for dinner, and you're totally on board too- you know it's good! Reality lived up to expectations with our experience! Ordered for take-out on a weekday evening. Inside the restaurant is not too big, and there are of course tables and chairs, but we often get ours to-go as well. The order placed was ready on time and all items were correct, even with modifications. Got a Tofu plate without salt atop, with veggie rolls, rice, tempura sweet potatoes. Textures and flavors were great-crisp on the outside, hot, moist, and flavorful inside. The special chicken plate was ordered wirh tempura carrots, and the family devoured that, the fries, and the Chicken Teryaki Bowl. It's lovely that you can get fresh, vibrantly colored steamed vegetables here! We also ordered multiple extra cucumber salad containers-perfect amounts in each container of goodness! I totally enjoy getting a nice fork-ful of it, then the scooping up some pillowy white rice in the same mouthful! Tempura sauce & teriyaki sauce were great to add as well. We get the sauces on the side so we can enjoy as we go. For years we have patroned the location on West Shaw in Fresno, and now are so excited to get to enjoy it in Clovis at this location! Consistency, value, and yes...get ready to have left overs, helping your money go even further as you might end up with enough for a second meal. Honestly, we have gotten plates and shared them in the past- portions are that ample. Well done Pete's Teriyaki! I will definitely be back soon!

Found this little gem on Yelp. Was looking for a good teriyaki chicken place since one I used to go to in Clovis closed down. Their chicken teriyaki bowl was very, very good and included white rice and tempura veggies. The serving size was so big that my son is taking the leftovers to work today for lunch. The tempura shrimp was also very good with four large pieces of shrimp. The food came out in under 10 minutes. Fast, easy, great value for the money and very good. Definitely coming back.

    Chicken thigh bowl (skinless)

This place is nice. The bowl I tried was the skinless chicken teriyaki thighs. I do want to try the fish and some other entrees ... but what I tried was delicious. It looked very clean and the young lady was super friendly. I was curious about the cucumbers but for $0.50 for 2 slices of marinated cucumbers was strange. It should be free. However, I'd come here again!

Disappointed for the most part. I used to get food from Pete's location on W Shaw and thought it was really good back then. Good service, nice cashier. Long wait for food. Clean restaurant. Back to the food...The tempura vegetables had a thick, hard and chewy coating on them. Not the light and crispy coating you think of for tempura. The beef was tiny sliced pieces with like a gravy on it. The pork was dry. The chicken was good, tender and not overcooked. The sticky rice was good. If you like any kind of sauces, be sure to inquire about them when you order.

New! New! New! Getting lunch! Greeted upon entering and the worker was very kind. Ordered the Chicken teriyaki bowl, white meat with sriracha sauce. Paid for the order with a short wait. Order ready and handed over shortly later! That worker wasn't as kind and welcoming as the greeter, but oh well. Nice, little restaurant. Booths and chairs with tables. Clean, safe and practiced! Lunchtime! It's a large bowl and really fresh and delicious! Chicken cooked perfectly and tasty! Made even better with adding sriracha sauce to spice it up! Yum! Fresh veggies and delicious sticky white rice too! Good amount! Easily 2 meals! Half was enough. Good service taking the order and delicious teriyaki white chicken bowl! Highly recommended!

Great service lady behind the counter very nice food ,give it a one star teriyaki chicken dry no flavor the beef teriyaki to Chuy not a good cut of meat and it's about $17 a plate not worth it french fries no seasoning. The picture shows different fries than what they give you.

Quick, easy & good! Nice sized portions, the chicken wasn't dry with that "grainy texture" & the tempera shrimp itself is big. Definitely a go to.

    Family meal deal
    Larry D.

Got the family meal for $59. It was easy to order online. I received a text five minutes before it was ready, and it was easy to pick up, though it was very busy inside. Everything in the tray was delicious. It included crispy chicken, teriyaki chicken dark meat, egg rolls, tempura veggies, tempura shrimp, and white rice. It came with a nicely sized side of teriyaki sauce, but a tiny side of tempura dipping sauce. Could've used more of that. We will definitely be frequenting this place.

    Perfection!

Yay! I'm so happy they've opened one up closer to our home. This just means MORE Pete's Teriyaki, MORE often. Lol

The waitress came back by and mentioned she heard we had an accident and she was sorry about that. We were not comped in any way. Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. I was immediate greeted by the two Sushi chefs behind the counter as I walked in. Not long after, the host greeted me and handed me a menu for me to select my order to go. I considered a poke bowl, however, their sauces were pretty standard. So instead I opted for their seaweed salad that came with a number of protein including tuna, edamame, shrimp, avocado, and masago. It was $19, so it wasn't necessarily inexpensive, however I figured a poke bowl with a couple proteins would run me right about there as well. The sushi chef got right away to work preparing my meal and I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I got home, I opened up my box and was a little underwhelmed with the presentation. The protein is cut up into small pieces and mixed in with the seaweed salad. In addition it is not pure seaweed as it is also mixed in with a bunch of other greens such as sprouts. So while the presentation was not what I was expecting, I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. I will definitely order this again.

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! The first time I tried the tonkotsu ramen as takeout and gave it 2 stars. The noodles were soggy from the start and the broth just didn't hit the depth of flavor I was expecting. It felt like something was missing. This time, I dined in and ordered both the spicy miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen, plus a side of chicken karaage. Eating onsite made a difference right away, the noodles held up and the overall taste of the ramen was significantly better. The spicy miso ramen was good, but I was honestly hoping for a stronger miso punch and a bit more heat. It leaned a little milder than expected, though still enjoyable. The tonkotsu this time was better balanced than my first visit. The chicken karaage was good as well. Crispy, light batter, juicy inside really solid fried chicken. I personally would've liked a squeeze of lemon and maybe some Japanese mayo on the side to elevate it even more, but that's just preference. Overall, I feel like this place redeemed itself on a second visit, especially dining in. I'll need to come back to try more of their specialty ramens.
