My family love eating here and it is our go to place when craving sushi. A typical order would be: EZ Roll, Cali Roll, Spicy Tuna Hand Roll, Magic Dragon Roll and 2-3 spicy mayos on the side. Our to-go order usually totals $80 with tip. Pros: Sushi is pretty fresh for Fresno. Portions are good. Decent prices. Bento boxes are not bad. Friendly staff. They answer their phone for takeout orders even when super busy. Orders usually take 20-30 min to be ready. Cons: They skimp on the spicy mayo so you have to tell them to fill it all the way up since it's $1 each. Use to be $0.25 each. Don't recommend the fried rice (bland); maybe try getting a few tips from teppan chefs ;) Tried other places and this is our go to place for sushi. Expect a loud atmosphere when walking in but most restaurants are these days. All in all, would recommend this place if you happen to be in the area and craving sushi. read more

I got the holy cow sushi roll. While it tasted good I feel like it was very much a jip on the filling. Maybe cause I ordered to go and was not in restaurant? The flavor is there though It's supposed to have cream cheese, asparagus, jalapeño and beef inside but it had almost nothing. There was beef on the outside but for a 27 dollar roll I expected much more. I was disappointed. It was also a bit wet by the time it got to me via DoorDash. Sauces should be served on the side. This place is great! I got to try 4 different appetizers, the jalapeño bomb, shrimp tempura, spicy garlic edamame, and baked mussel. My ranking for most to least favorite: 1. Edamame (you just can't miss with this! It comes coated in like a nice sauce, reminds me of a seafood boil sauce). 2. Baked Mussel- if you're a mussel fan like myself, this is pretty good. 3. Jalapeño bomb: it's a stuff jalapeño, with some umami flavor, little to no spice FYI. 4. Shrimp tempura was okay. Maybe if it had more crunch to it, and the veggies on the inside felt really really soft. I got to try 2 main entrees: I liked the sashimi way more than the special. We got the Spicy Garlic Edamame to start, which is super flavorful and a great way to kick things off. The Spicy Scallop Hand Roll tasted fresh and well-balanced with lots of mini scallops included. For cooked and raw rolls, there are so many solid options. The Shrimp Tempura Crunch Roll had large, crispy pieces of shrimp, and the Spider Roll featured nicely fried soft shell crab with great texture and didn't taste oily. The Dragon Roll and Cherry Blossom roll were both fresh and well put together. My favorite has to be the Scooby Doo Roll, a baked scallop roll that's rich, flavorful, and always hits the spot. This used to be a solid, convenient spot for sushi, but over the past few months the experience has steadily declined, and today was the final straw. We sat at the bar, the only seating available, and were not greeted, acknowledged, or given menus by any sushi chef, manager, or the four waitresses on the floor. Even after a sushi chef told the waitstaff that two people were waiting at the bar, no one came over. After about ten minutes, we decided to leave and take our time and money elsewhere. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated issue. The last two visits included incorrect orders and missing sauces on a to go order, which required us to return after checking in the car. The employees were all friendly cus when we walked in they all turned heads and said hiii welcome! By far my favorite sushi restaurant! I love the cozy atmosphere and the warm greetings you get right when you walk in. All the staff is so friendly! Abby was our server and she was incredible! Even with a bit of a complicated order, she got everything right and was happy to accommodate. Our food came out quickly even with it being busy. The presentation was perfection. I came here a couple weeks ago I'm just barely getting around to the review but the sushi here was delicious. i ordered the teriyaki bowl as well which was my favorite. the veggies added to the bowl felt like they melted in your mouth from how good they were and i wish they would have added more veggies into the bowl. they add lots of rice and just the right amount of teriyaki chicken. sushi was fresh and yummy. prices were reasonable on the menu. service was quick. the place was packed but they sat me down relatively quickly. the only thing is they forgot my miso soup but when I mentioned it the servers eyes lit up and she was so very kind and brought it to me shortly after.
