When I find myself having a craving for chicken livers, Pete's #6 is the place I head to. The service is great, friendly but not up your butt, in your face the whole time. Your drink is never less then half full and tables are cleaned quickly. It's a quick get in, place your order and get out in I would say less then half hour. Waited several minutes to be seated while employees casually walked by. finally had to stop one to get seated. Chicken sandwich was so tough it was uneatable. I told the server and she shrugged and handed me the check. no customer service whatsoever. Then to add insult to injury Added 3% more to check for using credit card. The Place Pete's No 6 is located at 6524 Calhoun Memorial Hwy, Easley, SC. Just down from and on the same side of the street as Lowe's. Pete's has dine in or takeaway available with online ordering also. There are several nice booths to sit in. The Menu Pete's has a very nice menu. Full complement of cafe type offerings. Breakfast looks to be a meal to enjoy as does lunch but we were here for dinner. We choose the fish special which was Grouper. Our fish was ok but definitely not anything worth mentioning in the the review. Anxious to try breakfast here. The Service/Experience/Value Pete's No 6 is fairly priced and our service was good. I'm 100% displeased by the service. I have never had a business handle a problem so rude. I'm not one to complain, but everything went wrong. Potato soup, scorched. We waited 20 minutes for drinks. Then the table beside us got their food and drinks before we got all 4 drinks on our table. Not to mean ruin my mom and I were the only African American people in the entire restaurant. We love the food at Pete's! Since the move we have ordered call In and drive through at least 5 times. Each time we have sat in the parking lot 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. Last night we waited 35 minutes and our order was wrong. After fixing our order we waited 45 minutes and our food was cold when we got home.I don't think any food is worth waiting that long for and it will be our last time ordering there. read more

My wife and I arrived around 10:45 am to a handwritten piece of paper saying "seat yourself ". So we did. No one approached us, so we decided to move to another table in the front area. After another 10 minutes or more finally a waitress came to our table. After greeting us she asked, "where did you get the breakfast menus"? We told her since nobody greeted us we took them from the podium. She then informed us they stop serving breakfast at 11am. We told her we have been here since before 11. She then suggested "how about lunch"? At this point it was 11:10 so we said "no we'll try somewhere else". Then for some reason she said, "we're short staff and we're trying". Not sure why she took an attitude with us because we weren't upset we just decided to try somewhere else for breakfast. I know this is an old stand by for us locals, but there are better options. The last time we ate there, we both had the pork chop special and tummy turmoil soon to follow. That lasted about 24 hours and we were ready to roll again. Another time we went in and got a cheeseburger with 1/2 and 1/2 and a patty melt. Both were extremely filling meals- too much but that's our own fault. We were at the Nissan dealership getting my husband's truck window repaired -while we were on vacation-and was looking for a local restaurant to eat breakfast while we waited . Found Pete's #6 restaurant just down the road. Looked at the reviews and decided to try it. Just like the reviews, looks like a dive when you drive up but the food is DELICIOUS!! We ate breakfast-I had the country fried steak , white gravy grits and a biscuit. WOW! Best Country breakfast EVER!! The chicken fried steak was super tender ! My husband had the fried chicken biscuit w/egg and cheese, and a side of skillet potatoes ( a must have!!) he LOVED it! My son had the chicken fried steak and egg biscuit.. he loved it!! I of course sampled their food.. lol. The biscuits were fluffy and delicious , the fried chickens as tender , juicy and not greasy . And best of all - the prices extremely reasonable! Forget Cracker Barrel, come here ! Food way better! Would love to try their lunch ! Going to add this place to our list of "food stops " when back in town. Well worth the detour . While I usually really like Pete's but today meal was so disappointing! They didn't ask me how I liked my meal because I would have said something. We came in around 1:20 on Friday, June 25. I ordered the Calabash chicken meal with 2 sides. The chicken was just fried chicken nuggets and the okra was hard and very chewy. First visit to the new location. There were only 3 or 4 occupied tables when my son and I arrived around 3:00pm. The waitress was quick to seat us and take our order but the wait for our food was about 45 minutes. I ordered a hamburger and my son had steak finger plate. The hamburger patty was so overcooked it was dry and hard, like chewing leather, and had no taste at all. The tomato was not quite ripe and the bun was cheap and sugary sweet. The best thing about the burger, and the only thing with any flavor, was the few slivers of purple onion. My son's fries were overcooked - brown, dry and tasteless. Honestly, the burger and fries at Jack in the Box would have been better. I miss the old Pete's and the Greek owners. Next time I get a craving I'll be driving to the Clock! read more

Old restaurant that's been in Easley as long as I can remember. Not much has changed. It's always been great food for not a lot of money. They offer a meat and three or burgers and sandwiches also hotdogs. The hand arrived never frozen cheeseburgers are definitely the way to go. I always get chili for my burger but tell them to put it on the side because it tends to be greasy. The onion rings and chicken fingers are also delicious. Consistently a great restaurant. read more

After seeing the lines at IHOP this sunny Saturday morning, my husband, daughter, and myself decided to give this long lived local chain a try. We were able to get a seat immediately. Pete's recently moved into a new location currently they are in the old Ruby Tuesday's restaurant building located on Highway 123 Easley. Yesterday was my first time dining out in months I went out with friends who chose Pete's , when we arrived we were given an estimated wait of 30 to 40 minutes we were able to sit down as we waited for a table. The waitress that we had did not wear her mask appropriately her nose was above the mask and she along with another waitress tried to take my plate after had a couple bites of food there was no sauce to add to my chicken pita however it was good I would not recommend going right now as it appears many people are trying it out because it's in a new location. read more

Wish i could give zero stars. Worst food and service I've ever had. Called to place a to go order. First problem was the order taker couldn't speak English. I had to tell the order several times Hamburger steak with fries roll. Smothered chicken with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes fried grouper fries slaw Mac and cheese. Mac tasted sour like they used sour milk. No roll on Hamburger steak no roll slaw tartar sauce with fried grouper. Chicken cooked to death dry as a bone. I called up there said I was coming back. Got there and was told nothing could be done without ALL the food. My wife is in bed recovering from surgery. Her son is autistic that wouldn't understand why I was taking his food away. I said I didn't bring it told them the circumstances and said I had thrown it away bc it wouldn't be worth eating after driving 10 miles up there and 10 miles back. Manager told me to dig it out of the trash. I will never set foot in there again to get their canned and frozen food. read more

Terrible owner. I had a HAIR cooked in my cheeseburger. The waitress told me to say something when I went to the register, so they could take it off my ticket. The owner REFUSED, because I got another burger. It didn't matter that the first 1 had a big hair in it and that I had to wait longer so they could cook another one. That meant that the other people with me had to wait on me to finish. He told me that wasn't a legitimate reason. Also, I told him that I was going to right a negative review. I ordered cheese sticks. The waitress didn't tell me they were out of marinara sauce. Instead, she tosses them down on the table and tells me they were out of marinara so she threw me a ranch in there. The owner took ONLY those off the ticket. He said now that's an actual legitimate reason. I wasn't even going to say anything about them until his comments were made about the hair. Also, our actual waitress rarely ever showed up. We kept having to ask another waitress to help us. After I talked to the owner he went to the kitchen. When I was walking towards the exit he came out of the kitchen and YELLS at me from across the restaurant that he would be replying to my reviews. Well he yelled at the wrong person. I yelled back at him and told him that I hoped he did because he would be hearing back from me. I told him I welcomed his comments. And the whole time the owner NEVER had a mask on. Two times he came out of the kitchen without one on. In South Carolina, DHEC requires restaurant staff to wear one. I guess, he thinks he can do whatever he wants. read more

We were quite pleasantly surprised at the quality of food we experienced here. Stopped in on Memorial Day after a long hit bike ride. Few restaurants were open so we decided to take a shot at Pete's. Other than the rather unconventional method of seating (you kind of hover and grab a table as it opens up) the service was friendly and quick. I ordered a burger and thought it tasted every bit as good as one I would make at home. My husband thought his grouper sandwhich was decent (not bad for a restaurant far from any grouper hang out that we're aware of!). My onion rings could have been seasoned a little better and they were a tad over cooked. Overall I'd recommend it and I'm sure we'll see the inside of this little gem again soon. read more

This is Diner food at its best. Pete's has a rich history in Easley and in Geenville. It all began in 1927 and is still run by the same greek family. I believe this location is just a notch above the others. The breakfast is amazing. Everything is from scratch. The eggs are cooked perfectly to order. The chicken fried steak is tender while still maintainng a crispy crunch to the breading. The biscuits are melt in your mouth tender and mile high with small dots of butter through out. They serve waffles all day and the red velvet waffle is to die for. For lunch or dinner they have a good variety of meat dishes. The hamburgers are the best around. The pulled pork is very tender and needs no sauce. They also have flounder and grouper which have a light breading and is moist and flavorful. Along with specials every day and the at home atmosphere, Pete ' s #6 is the best diner in Easley and also worth a trip from the other neighboring towns nearby. read more

Fabulous lunch of hotdog with all the fixings, even sauerkraut. The cole slaw was definitely homemade. The onion rings were fresh and hot with a basket helping that easily fed the four of us. The finale was their banana pudding which is made daily. After you have been there, Paula will remember exactly what you'd ordered before!!
