Gross, tiny, dark little store. There was someone's personal drink cup out on an animal cage and the cages were unlocked with the keys in them. Like a LOT of keys left unwatched. If I was a bad person seeing that that could have gone horrible wrong for the store. The little blond teen boy at the front was super sassy for zero reason. Won't be back. What a mess of a business. OMG, we were here on Saturday, Jan 7th, went to get fish... and it was disgusting! Some aquariums hadn't apparently been cleaned in weeks, there was so much algae, the glass looked like it had been smeared with Vaseline. Over in the Beta display, several Betas were dead! Does the ASPCA check these places? We ended up walking out because the last thing I want to do is drop sick or dieing fish in a healthy aquarium. read more

After moving here recently I needed help giving my fish a new home as well. All of the staff was very helpful and Hope really went above and beyond to take time helping ensure I created the perfect marine sanctuary for my little friends. She was friendly, knowledgeable, patient when I asked question after endless question. When in doubt she sought resources from others to ensure she was providing me the best possible solution. Hope even helped calculate the best way for me to purchase my aquarium, either kit or separate parts. I went with the kit. When I could not visualize what would fit she carried a 20 gallon fish aquarium over to the decor so I could choose and place all of the rocks and coral. It really helped to get a visual. She patiently captured exactly the Molly, Guppy and Tetra I wanted and she was the epitome of what great customer service is all about from the moment I stepped in until she helped me to load my purchase in my vehicle. I will definitely ask for Hope again and I can't wait to have her train my puppy sometime soon as well. Thank you Hope. Great work. Petco is lucky to have you. read more

Place was nice, but the customer service there was awful!!! Young girl up at the counter was very passive aggressive not only with her sentences but with her actions as well too. I was furious and had to bite my tongue not to get aggressive back. Shame on her and I hope she gets fired! read more

Wanting to buy some dog food with my two year old, three month old and my dog. Needless to say, my hands were full. After buying the food, I was going to try to push the stroller and the cart back to my car. Went in today looking to get some different fish for my aquarium. After looking for awhile and picking the fish out, we were waiting around for a good chunk of time. We decided to go ask the employee working the fish department if she could help us whenever she had a moment. After asking us what we needed and hearing the different fishes she seemed annoyed and didn't care to hide it. Not only did she question us about our tank size, but she also put 3 different species of fish all in the same bag together. We could barely let the bag float to adapt to the water, because all the fish were starting to get aggressive with each other. Usually I have a good experience with most workers in the fish department, but today I can't say the same. read more

The signs a few months ago that said they were getting rid of inhumane treatment of animals were not true. Practically their whole display of "glow bettas" were in disgusting water and had gill rot. When I told an employee, I was told they were going to be taken off the shelf soon. I wasn't concerned that they were selling sick bettas, I was concerned that they HAD sick bettas and had let it get that bad. Not only that, but the kitty they had was the saddest kitty in the world. It appears that they had sold the cat listed as her 'bonded' without her. The Petsmart on Eagle is so much kinder to their fish and animals. I've pointed out a betta's health there and they've immediately taken it back to treat it. The difference is startling. If you care about animals, I would shop there instead. read more

I was in back of store maintaining 6ft distance far from any employees and the store only had one customer checking out. An Employee approached me held a mask up in my face and said "u need to wear this or u can't be in here" I politely explained "I have a medical condition and can't wear a mask". Her response to me was "if u don't wear a mask u can't be in here if u need u can do curbside" I will not be shopping here again this is not my first bad experience with this particular store! read more

I took my dog in today to get my dog groomed. They did an amazing job and the price was great. They even gave us a free goody bag. Even though it was a really busy day for them they welcomed us to come in and didn't make us wait for another day to bring my little girl in. They had great customer Serive and everyone was very friendly. I will most definitely be bring my dog Sasha back. read more

Primarily a pet supply store, with your typical selection of common household pets (fish, a few birds, rodents, bunnies, reptiles etc.). They also have a cat adoption center, which I think is wonderful! Store is always clean and stocked. Employees are always friendly, though I have felt on more than one occasion that there seemed to be a shortage of staff on hand. I can only review based on items for dogs and fish, as these are the pets that I currently own. I find the overall selection of dog and fish supplies to be so-so. They have something for each of your needs for these animals, but in many cases one option and that is it. Prices I tend to find are actually a little higher than comparable stores like Pet Smart. Actual fish selection, in regards to fresh water fish, is mediocre. They do seem to carry a few less common fish, which are fun to look at and consider, but there never seems to be anyone available to educate me on whether they would actually work in my community tank. Their return policy on fish is generous, I believe it is 3 weeks from purchase date. I find it kind of odd that they don't want any proof that the fish actually died, just a sample of your tank water. Seems a little too much on the honor system if you ask me. Of the fish that I have purchased here, several haven't made it. Not sure if this is lack of education on my part, or unhealthy fish. My tank is well established, so I know I have to be at least doing something right. read more

Went to get the dog groomed, very nice worker who helped us, and the dog looks alright. We specifically asked not to clip his nails, but they did it anyway! Around his face and ears looks sloppy as well. Wish they would listen better and be more careful read more

Trevor in the grooming department is absolutely amazing! I have an older pit bull/lab mix that has a hard time dealing with her nails being cut, let's just say that she makes it harder than it should be. I have been to a lot of different groomers over the years and have been less than pleased. I go to Trevor specifically because he is always so patient and kind with her. I can tell that she is at ease with him which couldn't make me happier. Not only is he an animal lover, he also provides great customer service. My nervousness to bring Falkor in has dissipated at it's all do to him. Petco, seriously give this man a raise! It is well deserved! read more
