I took my schnauzer for his first grooming appointment at 7 months old. QT did such an amazing job. I was worried he'd be too anxious but QT was so patient with him. I'll definitely be coming back with her!

This review is for the Vet experience. Yesterday I took my pup in for some issues I was worried about. I was iffy about going to a new location but I'm glad I chose this one. I was greeted by Shelby who was the vet tech and she was very nice, thorough and helpful with the entire experience. She made me feel comfortable so I knew my pup would be safe when she took him back. Shelby had great alternate suggestions if I was concerned with the costs of things so that was helpful! Dr. Causey was so easy to talk to!! She explained to me what was going on and that it was of no concern. She had great recommendations and told me I could always just come back if I continued to have issues which made the experience great considering it was our first time there.

The refrigerated food is really good. My dog loves it. Austin also attended the doggie training class and learned great stuff. I recommend both things for your furr babies.

When I dropped my dog off and showed up Friday @6:01 because of lane closure on go forth road she proceeded to say "it's 6:01 I was wondering where her owners at" and that she should have charged 100$ but wasn't going to, then when I called to talk of the issue she changed time to 6:05. I do understand policy's but with construction and having a 2 year old I am unhappy with their costumer service. I personally work in the service industry and have clients but would never cancel an appointment and charge a late fee if they are less then 5 minutes late, because basic costumer service and having a loyal client means more and life does happen. One of the lady's said you should show up @1255 policy says 1. They also proceeded to say I said 10 am pick up when I have texts confirming 1, as stated multiple time we have until 1.Money hungry and rude. Very disappointing as I bring my dogs often to daycare and travel a lot. Thought this would be a great close place, turns out no. I will be returning to my other kennel in buda, even with the extra drive it's worth it. On top of all this we still left gratuity but will not be returning and will be letting our friends and family know to avoid this place.

I was hoping it would be a positive experience for him to socialize with other dogs, I didn't expect to have as much fun as I have going with him though. The class format is 15 minutes off-leash play interspersed with 5-10 minute guided on-leash sessions. You focus on one command each class with the idea being that you learn the basics of teaching the command and finish the training on your own at home. I like that the focus is on practical commands and not silly tricks (not against teaching those, just figure you can teach those on your own time). Our instructor, Bridget, has been great. I can imagine it's tough working a room with as many as a dozen or so pups running around, but she always took time to give everyone individual attention and make herself available for questions and practical answers. It's also a great way to meet other people. I'd often look forward to seeing some of the pup parents as much as their pups each week. Overall, it's a great environment for everyone and as an added bonus we attended the class held at Austin Corner Vet East, which is fantastic since that's also our vet. Dahboo's now excited to pull into the parking lot of his vet -- mission accomplished! :) We've enjoyed the class so much we'll be continuing on with the next class in the sequence and look forward to more fun working with Karma Dog Training as Dahboo works toward his therapy certification.

As a first-time puppy parent, I was somewhat unsure of what to expect with a new puppy, and the trainers provided excellent coaching and advice throughout our 7-week class. During the first class, Dexter was so nervous that he was finding every corner possible to hide in. The trainers coached us on the best ways to encourage Dexter to socialize and by the third week of class, he was eager and excited to play with all the other puppies. The socialization aspect of class was exactly what our shy puppy needed to come out of his shell. In addition to that, the training portion of the class was very helpful. Each class focused on one of the seven basic commands that puppies need to learn, and Darci provided very clear explanations of how to teach and reinforce each command. Then, we were able to practice and get feedback from Darci and the other trainers in order to help Dexter master each command. Finally, Karma Dog Training provides excellent customer service. Any time I have reached out with a question or scheduling conflict, they have responded within hours with a helpful and understanding response. Dexter can't wait to continue with the next level of classes at Karma Dog Training!

She showed me this video of a mama dog correcting her pups and this is what the leader of the pack (me) does. There's obviously more to it than just grunting so make you're appointment with this company!!! My dogs are happier dogs! My dogs don't have anxiety and IIIIIIIIII don't have anxiety. She has problems with reactivity on a leash, poor recall, and general stubborn behavior. We are still working through these things, but in six weeks with Sit Means Sit the difference is huge. She will not bark at other dogs now. If she does, it is once and she stops when I ask her to. She does not pull on the leash like she used to. I can actually get her attention when I need her to do something now. We trained at day camp with Ashley and she was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. She was so supportive and even stayed late with us to work through some problems together pretty much every lesson. My husband is reluctant to enforce rules or make our pup do things she doesn't want to do, and Ashley helped him with a few pep talks to understand why training is so important, even if it can be frustrating and uncomfortable. We are still learning and still have group classes to take, but so far I've been impressed and grateful.

The people at the facility that I interacted with or capable and knew what they were doing. My dogs were obedient to the trainers when I picked them up. However, the two 30 minute to 45 minutes training sessions were supposed to be 1hour sessions but we're cut short because other customers were arriving. We did not have enough time with the trainers to become skilled at reinforcing what our dogs had learned. We did get written instructions and email instructions. But for the price, I thought we would get more thorough training. The owner Lisa is knowledgeable and nice. Austin, her son, answers the phone he is also very nice. Leaving my dogs at their facility was stressful. I was told I would have communication and pictures or videos daily. What they didn't tell me is the pictures our poses and videos that match canned statements, not real communication about my dog and only once daily. I was given the direct phone number of the owner but couldn't reach her until three or four calls were made. I felt upset that I couldn't determine my dogs well-being from the poses and the canned comments that were generic to every dog. It was upsetting waiting for a callback. I couldn't visit my dogs while they were boarded for training and one of the pictures they looked very stressed. So I was upset by the time. I finally got a callback. The owner Lisa was helpful when she called back. I did get more personal interaction from the trainers. After speaking with Lisa. When I had a scheduling issue, she was also accommodating. My issue is when we got our dogs home we were not trained to reinforce what they had learned. We are not trained to get the results we saw when we picked up the dogs from boarding training. Then there are the group classes. They last for six months. I had terrible health problems for two months and could not attend and they will only allow me one month credit even though I offered MD proof that I was sick. So two months later, our two, very reactive Frenchies in tow, we were late to class and exhausted due to late night, long flight delays. I called talked to Austin told him we would be 36 minutes late.. He said no problem come on in, we will take care of you when you arrive. After a 45 minute drive , we arrived and employee Jerry was very rude. Turned us away and said "I don't know what to tell you, class is over why are you here"? I explained what Austin had said, Jerry said again. "I don't know what to tell you class is over" and shrugged. I called Austin back, he said "I don't know what to say, sorry come back next week". Even though we arrived at the exact time, I told Austin we would arrive. I expect better customer service for $6,000. The sales pitch I was given, led me to believe they would be very present knowledgeable, and helpful. that has not consistently been our experience. We attended class today and were pleasantly surprised. Lisa was teaching and it was a good class. We went over the basics of what they had taught our dogs and how to do it at a very basic level. I feel like I should've had today's training and several other training sessions during the time my dogs were being boarded and trained. There would've been more value in boarding them if I was better equipped to deal with them when they got home.

My husband and I could not be more thrilled with the results of a board and train experience at K9…read moreMastery for our Belgian Malinois mix, Zeus. At the end of 2022, I became pregnant and we started to notice more territorial and protective behaviors in Zeus. He was 1.5 years old at the time and still demonstrated intermittent destructive behaviors every couple of months. He also had a traumatic experience with crate training as an 8 week old puppy where he escaped and ended up sustaining a complete fracture of his leg. Due to this event, we had not been successful with crate training because of his anxiety. We tried increasing his exercise, using mentally stimulating toys, hiring a trainer who came to the home, and gradually re-attempting crate training. None of these efforts worked and Zeus' behaviors worsened. We had two incidents where Zeus bit another dog in the dog park that backs up to our home (which he thinks is part of our property) and where he barked at and cornered a 10 year old boy. My husband and I lost hope and, as our due date approached, we made the very difficult decision to post Zeus on a re-homing page. The next day after making the post, we had someone interested in taking Zeus. On that same day, a good friend recommended we send Zeus to K9 Mastery and generously wanted to gift us the opportunity. Christie was extremely accommodating in taking Zeus on short notice due to the urgency of the situation with our first baby arriving in a couple months. Zeus stayed at K9 mastery for 6 weeks and we got weekly updates. He was a handful when he first arrived as Christie dealt with his extreme separation anxiety and fear of the crate. Despite Zeus somehow escaping a heavy duty crate, digging under the fence, and chewing through dry wall, Christie did not give up on Zeus. She tried a variety of techniques ("puppy" heartbeat next to his crate, CBD oil, a steel welded crate, increasing his exercise in addition to training, etc.) to help get him past his separation and crate anxiety. Things got better as the weeks went by and when we arrived to pickup Zeus, we saw a new dog. Christie gave us the tools to adequately meet his mental and physical needs in a way that worked for our family and lifestyle. She taught us how to take control and lead Zeus so he doesn't feel the need to dominate and protect. In the several months that we've had him home, we have not had any issues with destruction, crate training, or aggressive behaviors with people coming into the home. He maintains the boundaries we've instilled with the new baby. We've received several compliments from strangers and neighbors while we've been out with Zeus on his excellent obedience. He listens despite distractions (food, toys, other dogs, loud noises, sudden movements, and his ultimate weakness, squirrels). We are so grateful to Christie for allowing us to keep our dog. Our home would not be the same without him and his sweet, goofy, and loving personality. We highly recommend K9 Mastery for all your dog training needs!
