My golden did not want to stay at this place. She tried to hide behind my husband because I had left her once before at this place and wasn't happy when I got her back, she was not herself. The second time I boarded her here, she came home with a hugh open wound which was a hot spot and then proceeded to get 2 more wounds from being in this place. The staff at this place didn't even know she had an open wound. I had to tell them when I found it on the ride home. I don't get good vibes from this place and neither does my golden. The staff here need more training on handling dogs and customers. Not at all professional. Be careful leaving your fur baby with this place. read more

We boarded our pup for a short stay, although i was hesitant on boarding him due to the fact that he does have high anxiety in places that are new to him the staff there were amazing to him! they sent us updates that put my crazy dog mom heart at ease...lol. (Got cut in the grooming process) im watching a rescue puppy for a friend and got him groomed on September 2nd at 8:30am. The cut looked absolutely adorable! But he has been miserable and itchy and in so much pain now I have to take him to a vet so nothing is infected. As I look closer by his rear end there are cuts. Our pup has always hated being left behind at boarding and drop off is always tough so we typically try to avoid boarding her. However, we ended up trying Pups & Mutts when we moved to the area and it's the first time we've been able to find a place where drop off is a breeze and she happily goes with the staff. They got a new groomer without telling anyone and they did not know how to cut goldendoodles. I particularly state need a 4 with teddy bear cut around the face. I picked her up and they shaved her entire body. They even read back correctly what I said but the groomer shaved her beautiful fur. She was not matted has I brush her daily. Pups & Mutts has everything that I am looking for in a dog daycare/boarding facility in Kyle. There is room for the dogs outside to play on turf together and run around- both in the sunshine and shade. The staff is friendly and posts a lot of pictures on their Facebook page which I love! They have pools and sprinklers for the dogs on hot days. I have two young Aussies and they are tired when I come to pick them up- a FEAT if you're familiar with the breed!! Our dog is a poodle mix that if not brushed regularly is prone to matting. When we made the reservation we asked that she be brushed out each day which the person taking the booking said wouldn't be an issue. When I dropped her off I was told that they don't actually offer that service but since they agreed to it during the booking process they would honor it. I picked her up this morning and it was obvious that she was never brushed out and it now full of matts. We will never be doing business here again. read more

I hate the fact that my dog is at home all day long alone while I am working, so I decided to check out a few pet day cares spots in the area! When I came across Pups & Mutts I loved their professionalism and the love they have for all the animals in their care. The website is easy to navigate and has almost every answer to any of your questions. They do require your pet to be fully vaccinated (required vaccines listed on website) and their first day of day care is considered their "evaluation day" where they monitor your dog's play/temperament. My fur baby is still getting used to all his new friends, but whenever I pick him up he is completely happy/exhausted! Their customer portal is where you go to request services and they have live web cameras so you can check up on your pup throughout the day!! The staff here is kind and truly do care about your dog's well-being. I met the owner as well, and she was explaining to me their process during COVID-19. I highly recommend this facility if you want a clean, friendly, and safe environment for your fur babies! read more

I started bringing my dog here because my partner and I got a new work schedule and wanted our old pup watched on the days that we couldn't get home to let him outside. The second visit they failed to give him medication that I brought for him - it was still in the baggie. The third visit they didn't feed him, and I know this because the brand new canned food I brought him was unopened, so he went the entire day without a meal until we brought him home. In addition, I just didn't like the vibe I kept getting. The employees seem like they don't want to be there. Each time I dropped him off with his food, they did not care to write down the instructions for his food, or even ask. I'd always have to tell them as they rushed out of the room. They always seemed rush at check in and pick up. At pick up, no details really on how my dog did or if he had a good day. I won't be bringing him back or recommending this facility to others. read more

My dog, Hiccup, comes here for daycare on occasion and will be boarding here over the Christmas holiday this year. Typically, our neighbor lets our dogs out a couple of times a day if needed, but after our older dogs passed away and we got this younger pup - we often need more than just a quick potty break to keep him happy. So - instead of being in his crate for an extended period of time, he comes here when we can! The things I love: *He is tired when he comes home. *He is HAPPY when he realizes where he is when we arrive to drop off and while he is so happy to see us when we come to get him, he is sad to leave! *Report cards about the visit and how he did make me smile. *There are webcams so I can peek in on him throughout the day (not that I WORRY, it's just such a fun perk!). *The staff has been great AND I also like that I can add on a bath if I ever want him to have one! *They keep an eye on the dogs as they play and can separate them if they are too rowdy and need a chill period. *They place the dogs on size AND temperament (mine (45 lbs or so) ended up with some smaller dogs (not tiny, but smaller) because he fit in better with the play style and might have been injured with the much larger dogs. I appreciated them looking out for him this way. I highly recommend this facility. read more

Shelby, my new hurricane rescue, loves loves loves coming here. We found ourselves in a situation where one of us needed to be out of town and the other was working long hours. Rather than keeping him kenneled for long periods of time we decided to give this place a try. I'm so glad we did. We had him in full day, daycare for a week. In fact we were so impressed with the facility we now take him for half days just so he can play with his friends that go there. Everything that Erica G. stated in her review I can personally vouch for and it's been our experience as well. Shelby was pretty timid the first couple of times. Sensing his anxiety the staff that greeted us would hold him and help him feel secure. Now when we go in he knows he's going to have a good time and immediately goes to look for his friends. I can't say enough good things about this place and highly recommend. Kyle is lucky to have such a wonderful facility and I hope this review will encourage more people to check this place out. Unfortunately, my experience today talking with management was very disappointing, to say the least. My dog loved to be in daycare at Pups & Mutts and was always happy to go. She is a recent rescue, so a bit nervous discovering new places. The staff is amazing and the place is nice and clean. I had previously, ~ 2 months ago, arranged for her to stay beyond the official pick-up time on Mondays and Tuesdays and was able to get her by 8:30 PM as my work does not allow me to pick her up earlier. When calling today to continue her day care reservations after my 2 week break, the receptionist told me that my late pick-up can no longer be accommodated. I was then referred to Ms. Julie (manager) who told me the same. I questioned why the rules changed all of the sudden and my previous agreement no longer holds, she only repeated that she was sorry...like a robot... I reminded her that she is operating a business in a small town and that the wishes of the customers and community should be considered. Overall, I am upset that after having an agreement with management, the new manager who moved to town just a week ago, is not honoring what was previously agreed. Took our Basset Hound, Winston, to get groomed today and cannot say enough great things about them! They were available for a next day appt; staff was super friendly; and sent Winston home with a baggy of treats. The cost was actually cheaper than Petco charges! They also do boarding. I had to go out of town last minute and board my dog. I had never been to this facility, but they were very welcoming and accommodating to watch my dog on short notice. The owner and all of the staff were very friendly. The owner was very honest with how my dog interacted with other dogs and gave me great updates. I loved being able to watch my dog on the webcams and receive her report cards. As difficult as it was for me to leave my baby here, I felt great knowing that she was being well cared for. I took my dog in to be groomed and clipped. These people lost their groomer months ago so I went elsewhere. Now they have a groomer and I thought I would give them a try. I was told it would be 1-1:30 hr. It usually takes 1 hour. They hadn't called me after 2 hours and I was on my way to get my pup anyway as I had to get into Austin. My call was returned and I was told it would be another 40 minutes. I'll never go back. Not reliable. read more

This is the absolute worst place to take your dog. My dog hated coming here every single time , which is strange because she loves doggy daycare . Ever since Olga left this place has no quality anymore . My dog is happier at the new place . They hire very young girls who look like they are in high school, or fresh out of high school , with no experience with dogs. I honestly don't even think any of them have work experience . The owner is never in the office when asked by staff , they said she doesn't even answer their calls before 11 am. Owner does not train staff , I wouldn't even recommend for cujo to get put down here . This location is not convienient at all. A lot of police in the area ready to give a ticket . Traffic is also slow in area . Not easily accessible . So there is nothing at all that makes this place worth going to. My dog knows best and she hates this place . She would pull away as if she didn't want to stay but in her new place she is running inside once they open the door . DO NOT GO!!!! read more
