Would give 0 stars if I could. I went to this vet with what I believed to be a yeast infection for my dog. The "doctor" spent no more than 3 minutes to look over my dog quickly and denied what I thought to be the problem (my brother and SIL are both very experienced vets). She put my dog through a round of steroids and antibiotics and my wallet through a round of -$175. Nothing they prescribed made any change to the problem. I called to get a skin impression done so that we could confirm the yeast infection and the manager told me "the best I can do is a recheck fee for $61 but that doesn't include any testing involved." So they wanted to take me for another $115+ dollars after putting my dog through a round of meds that are not good for an animal to go through when they don't need them. Just read side effects of antibiotics and steroids if you don't believe me. I'm sure they will chime in attempting to cover for their mistake but I don't like the rushed and incorrect diagnosis and putting my pet through rounds of medications that are incorrect for the problem. This place seems more focused on DEI hiring than it does on proper results and I will never go here again. I called and tried to give them a chance to make it right today by just doing the skin impression but they were not interested in doing the right thing. It could have been easy and I could have been not leaving this review today. read more

We have been customers at Startz Veterinary for 10 years and they have taken care of all our pets (six dogs, 2 cats) over the years. We have been pretty happy until today. Our dog jumped off our deck and injured his leg. My wife called to make a same day appointment and was told there was a $100 (urgent charge). Veterinary care is already expensive and to be charged an additional fee when there was an opening anyway is unacceptable. Maybe its time to start shopping for a new Veterinary clinic. read more

Dr. Kaufman and the staff are amazing! They go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure your pets are comfortable and recevie top quality care. Their prices have been very reasonable and affordable. We have used Startz Vet since 2019 and could not be happier. They worked with us to get our rescue lab fixed after we found out unexpectedly the rescue organization missed this detail. Our rescue also had extreme anxiety and they made sure she was as comfortable as the could make her during her visits and helped us navigate her mental health. Most recently, our 16 week old kitten got in an accident and needed stitches in his mouth. Dr. Kaufman and his staff were able to very quickly assess the damage and get him fixed up and back home. We have also used Startz Vet boarding services and were very pleased with the cleanliness and extra loving our pets received. Sadly had to put our 12 year old dog down yesterday. Thank you to Dr. Kaufman and staff who treated her and us with respect, dignity and love. They cared for her until she was simply overwhelmed with pain and multiplying health problems and we had to make a hard decision yesterday to end it.
