Took my newly adopted dog there because he had been experiencing coughing, sneezing and copious…read moreamounts of mucus draining from his nose. The only reason why I went there and not somewhere closer is because the place where I adopted him from gave me a $250 voucher to use at a VCA clinic. After my visit, you couldn't pay me to return. To begin, there isn't one nice or happy person that works there!. My experience started with the vet tech Taylor and then later we were joined by the veterinarian Dr. Leslie. I asked Dr. Leslie if she could take a look at my pups sutures from being recently neutered. With her ungloved and hopefully sanitized hands she aggressively pinched and grabbed the area so hard that it broke his sutures and caused bleeding. I'm no doctor but, I'm pretty sure that's not going to promote healing. He was not bleeding before we went in. I know they took him into the other room for about 1 minute to weigh him. I'm not sure what else they did. I can tell you what they didn't do in front of me. I never saw them take his temperature. I never saw them looking in his ears or in his nose, his teeth....nothing at all! The only thing I saw anyone do was observe him from a distance and give him a milk bone. Dr. Leslie told me that he seems fine. She doesn't see any mucus coming out of his nose. Well, there was but, he licks it up or it's draining down his throat when he's standing. While there, he was coughing and sneezing. Due to her disbelief, I felt compelled to prove he is suffering day and night from congestion so, I pulled out a picture I took of him the previous night with a puddle of mucus on the floor, where he was sleeping. She replied, "oh yuck!". Not the most professional verbiage I've heard but what bothered me is, she was dismissive of my concerns and never felt for swollen glands or lymph nodes etc. . Also, why did I have to pull up a picture to prove that he has indeed been suffering from sinus issues? Why didn't she look at any part of him except for the sutures she ruptured?!! Throughout the appointment, I would ask the doctor a question but, before she could answer the tech, Taylor would either interrupt the doctor or speak for her, which seemed very odd to me. I don't know why the doctor allows the tech to steamroll over her. It was very unprofessional and I didn't want to hear her answers, I wasn't asking her and I'd rather hear from the person that has a doctorate. From both Taylor and Leslie, they responded with a condescending and patronizing tone. Meanwhile I noticed that Taylor, vet tech would do eye rolls towards the doctor, thinking I couldn't see which was beyond rude. Taylor was very snarky, haughty and self righteous just awful. I feel like that place sucked the soul out of me. I've noticed some of the responses by the manager on here is they can't find you in their database or as being one of their clients. So, to clarify..Yes I am and I was just in there, Monday September 8th at 2:30. Well, I was there and my appointment was at 2:30 but I wasn't seen until around 3:15. I didn't see anybody waiting in the lobby. They were not busy. It's now Friday and dog is still sick, I've emailed and called several times now to pick up the antibiotics that Dr. Leslie said she would prescribe if he didn't get better in a few days. She didn't want to give them to me right then because she wants to be a a good "steward" in the medical industry. Ok. I get it but MY DOG IS STILL SICK AND I NEED HIS MEDICATION!! I can't imagine taking an animal here, especially if it were a life and death situation. Or if it was time to send your fur baby over the rainbow bridge. There was no sense of caring at all at this place and I guess they don't take the "Hippocratic Oath" here. Go somewhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. Update: The response from owner is utterly ridiculous and patronizing which proves my point! They want me to contact their review department so they can "listen and support me"? What?! You're a vet clinic owner, not a therapist. A more appropriate response would be: 1. I'm sorry 2. We will address this internally so it doesn't happen again 3. How can we make this right? I guess it's the trickle down from the owner. Not one iota of taking responsibility.

Poor girl, may lose her eye. Took her to VCA so they could look at her and hopefully help my cat. No compassion shown to us. Wouldn't see her because I didn't have an appointment! Also told me there would be an emergency exam fee, IF they would even see her. I have an injured animal These people are veterinarians, but only worried about an appointment and how much money they can charge me. Most veterinarians are concerned for animals health, but certainly not the case today. I 'm sure there's infection involved, wouldn't even assess her injuries. My cat may lose her eye, VCA lost any and all respect from me and I WILL NEVER BRING ANOTHER ANIMAL to VCA again. No appointment, zero help, waste of my time.

She would pace and pace all day until she collapsed, exhausted. It was terrible seeing her like that and she'd had a recent appointment to our regular vet, and they recommended I put her to sleep, but according to their guidelines, I wouldn't be able to go in with Chloe. I wasn't okay with that. I needed to be there with my little girl. So, I called around and found this wonderful clinic that said I could wait in the lobby while they prepared Chloe for euthanasia, and then I could come in and hold her while they administered the final dose. That was my best option, so with a heavy heart, my sister drove us over there, I was crying the whole time and kissing Chloe. Anyway, they gave me as much time as I needed with Chloe in a private room and then they gave her a shot to sedate her and said she won't be waking up again. So, the crying continued, but I was ready to let her cross the rainbow bridge and be with my 47yo husband, who passed the year before. She had her head on my shoulder as they gave her the final shot into the port in her paw and within 5-10 seconds, she stopped breathing. They let me hold her until I was ready to let go. This is so difficult to write because it feels like I'm going through it again. A few weeks later, I received a plaster circle with Chloe's paw print and her name on it. Everyone at this clinic was super nice, understanding and accommodating to my specific needs, while following Covid guidelines. I truly appreciated it.

Several neighbors recommended Marion Animal Hospital for both service and cost. They were still taking Covid precautions so i drove up and gave them a call. It was pouring rain and i was 15 minutes early so I expected to be sitting in the parking lot for quite some time. A very nice friendly lady came out in about five minutes and exchanged my dog with some paperwork. In less than 10 minutes after that i was shocked when she came back with my dog who already received a nail trim, rabies shot and Brevecta and did not seem unhappy at all. She took my payment and we were headed back home within 15 minutes. I gotta say i was more than pleased with drive up dog care.

I'd like to start this review out by saying Dr. Fowler is a godsend!…read more I am a first-time puppy owner and went through a reputable website to do my research on a breeder. I specifically wanted a Shih Tzu puppy and the breeder I selected had a litter available, but they weren't quite ready for pick up. The day came for me to finally pick up my new puppy and leading up to picking her up, the breeder had informed me that she was 100% healthy and had been cleared by 1 of the 4 vets she use. After picking my new girl up, I noticed her eye looked swollen and was red. She could barely open it and when I reached out to the breeder, she told me it could be irritated from the bath she had given her right before pick up. Due to picking her up on a Saturday, a lot of vets are closed on the weekend unless you take them into an emergency Hospital. Monday morning, I was able to get my girl in. Dr. Fowler came in and did her recommended testing to properly diagnose my sweet puppy. It turns out I received her with a pre-existing ulcer on her eye at eight weeks old. Doctor Fowler listened to my concerns and addressed everything I brought to her attention. Because I mentioned something about mucousy stool, she suggested I get a fecal test done. I am so glad she did because I was able to find out my new eight week old puppy came with parasites as well. I am so thankful she recommended all of the testing that was performed on my sweet girl so we can address everything and get her to 100% healthiness. Dr. Fowler's bedside manner is out of this world! She took the time to explain to me, a new pet owner, everything she was doing to where I could easily understand what she was saying. She actually made me feel more relieved than I was walking in even after finding out the diagnosis of what was going on. I also love the fact that she sends a full and detailed report of the visit. She also included in the report about how she advised me to reach out to the breeder for reimbursement for this vet bill. Thankfully everything is treatable and we are now on the road to recovery. I am so happy. I brought my new puppy in to this clinic. I will most definitely continue to bring my girl in to receive the best care! Thank you again Dr. Fowler! You are the BEST!!
