Pet Galaxy is a great place for your dog. They have kennels, not crates for your dog to stay in. The kennel runs are large enough for your dog to move around comfortably. They have an outdoor for the kennels area so they are not kept indoors their entire stay. They also have a play area with a shallow pond where the dogs can play together. The staff are amazing and treat the dogs like family. Our dog gets so excited when we get there, it has become his second home. They also have daycare so your dog doesn't have to be lef alone all day. It's a great place for dogs to get socialization with other dogs. We always pay for a bath before picking our dog up because he's played outside, especially in the pond on hot days! We absolutely love Pet Galaxy. We also had Duncan there for training when he was a puppy. read more

I am so done with this place for my dog. I boarded her there for a long weekend in May 2021 because I was new to the area and the place seemed secure and reasonably well run. But even after a short stay, her nose was skinned up when I got her back. They said it was from her 'nosing' her kennel gate. I accepted it, I get that she was technically doing it to herself. But I wasn't happy. We boarded her again the following July for a family wedding out of state. She would be there for eight days so I asked to let her have play time every other day, hoping to mitigate her boredom and kennel anxiety. But her nose was awful when I picked her up. We had another family wedding out of state this past week and I could not get a reservation for her at my new kennel or my vet, so I was stuck with Pet Galaxy. She would have to be there for a full week again, so I again asked for extra playtime for her. This 'play time' costs an extra $18.95/day ... on top of the $52.25/day I was paying to board her there! Every time I've brought her there and come to pick her up, we have the discussion about her 'poor nose' and 'we wish we could do something about it' ... but no effort to do anything. My Emma is 7 years old in March. I've boarded her at three other facilities (I lived elsewhere at those times) and NEVER had this problem. Yes, she's bumping her own nose to cause the damage, but your kennels are POORLY designed if dogs can so easily hurt themselves! Pet Galaxy's rates are top tier, I would think their accommodations would be as well. Picture of my Emma when I dropped her off and more pictures of her nose today. We moved but miss Kim and her crew there at Pet Galaxy! When your dogs -- in our case two Aussies and a terrior-mix-- run to the front door and don't look back, then you know it's A+. This kennel has done wonderful job with my 2 pups. they get lots of play time in the arena with someone always out with them. They have helped me get them used to other dogs and people. VERY disappointed with Pet Galaxy, Spring Branch. We just picked up our 3 dogs and they were beyond filthy. All 3 smelled horrible as if they had been bathed in urine. We had to bathe them immediately getting home. Makes us question what type of care they received the two days they stayed at this facility. I have a short hair dachshund who thinks she is a people. She is very much spoiled and hasn't ever been away from us in her nearly 3 yrs of life. I've seen videos of what can happen at groomers and I was so nervous about bringing her to be professionally groomed for the first time. Got to say this place is incredible. We have 3 large dogs that are all 4 years and younger which have NEVER been boarded. This past weekend we had to board them due to my daughters wedding and all family and friends going to the wedding so no one was able to watch the dogs. My wife and I were very concerned about how they would do and let me tell you, they came home exhausted ( you can tell they were let out to play a lot) but not one sign of depression anxiety or separation have we seen. Literally walking in the door of the house and they all passed out. When we went with the team to get them from the runs as we walked them out the dogs tried to go out the door they go to play so that showed us they went out a lot to remember that in only 2 days. It was an extremely fast check in and out process. We are so glad we found a place that didn't just stick the dogs in a cage and let them be. The team we worked with were the best. Because of some referrals by my neighbors and because my husband is on hospice and because my sweet yet VERY rambunctious Berniedoodle needs some place to just be a dog and not be considered in the way, I called Pet Galaxy to inquire about their doggie daycare. I thought it would be wonderful to have her go play all day, everyday and come home ready to rest. After NUMEROUS phone calls to Pet Galaxy with no answer I finally got someone to answer yesterday and I think her name was "Borden" anyway, she told me she would send me an application for daycare to my email. I never received it. Called four more times, no answer... so my sister who is in town helping me drove to Pet Galaxy to inquire. She saw many dogs outside in a crowded pen and the smell of dog feces was overpowering. She walked in and the person in the front was on the phone. She waited.... While waiting she noticed a woman walking a very large Doberman down the hall. She was yanking on the the Doberman's leash and actually SLAPPING the dog while scolding and saying "BAD DOG" over and over!!!! The Doberman was cowering down. My sister turned around and was walking out, the person at the desk put whomever she was talking to on hold and asked my sister if she could help her. My sister replied "No thank you, I have seen enough." And she exited the building. I called and reported this incident to whomever answered the phone and she seemed "shocked." Here's my take away on this situation, dog poop will happen, I get that but generally in a kennel situation you have someone cleaning the play yard pretty frequently. On the other hand, slapping, yanking, yelling and scolding a dog is TOTALLY unacceptable!!!! That is considered abuse! If you don't have the ability to provided excellent service and care to our most loved pets, limit enrollment. Because of this incident, I will never take my dogs to Pet Galaxy. EVER! I have heard Pet Galaxy has staffing issues. If that is the case, stop taking in more dogs than you can handle. Beware of the care received here. read more

We left our puppy Sadie at Pet Galaxy for 9 days over Thanksgiving. The staff assured us she would be happy as can be -- they were right! Sadie practically ignored us when we picked her up, and she was definitely sad for a day or two when we got home. She missed all her friends at Pet Galaxy! They loved on her and kept her busy -- they even took photos for us. We would definitely use Pet Galaxy again, even though it's a bit of a drive for us. read more

I took our boys there to be groomed. I can say Tara has a lovely personality, TRULY! I can not blame the arrangement of the facility on her BUT, we were NOT HAPPY AT ALL when we paid over $100 for our dogs to be groomed and...the place is ALL DIRT! Where they take the pups to go play, where you drive up, where they MUST walk to your car OR, to the bathroom area, IS ALL GRAVEL & DIRT! Yes, "they refer to it as natural." Well, their "natural " is ridiculous when my dog has SENSITIVE SKIN, has RX shampoo to be bathed in & ends up broken out all over the next day, after coming from this groomer due to SO MUCH DIRT & DUST! You should've seen the inside of my car too!Why did I even pay for the dogs to be bathed when they were walked out through all that dirt & dust??? What a waste of $$$$$ Also, their nails DID NOT get clipped! The offer was made to bring them back but, are you kidding me? Why would I? Your setup is less than adequate!
