He is an amazing business owner and veterinarian and I would recommend him to anybody looking for care for their animals. Although I was very disappointed with the last few visits I have been at his clinic, that is not the way things are normally handled and I appreciate him giving me a call and speaking to me personally. 5 stars for Dr. Youssef and his professionalism! No wonder he was able to expand his business and open a kennel service across the street!

I got the call from Dr. Pittman and they were both professional and apologetic for the delay. I did receive the notes as requested and results we were waiting on. I brought my dog in since our regular vet was closed on weekends. It cost $250 to explore the wound. Once Dr. Pittman "explored" the wound and remove out two small "masses" she didn't know what it was or wasn't confident about next steps. We came back 3 days later for wound check and we noticed my dog had something similar on another paw and she removed that as well but this time sent it for testing. Also my pet insurance has requested visit notes and records to process my claim and I have even tried calling to have them send the notes needed and they still have not sent anything. When I called the receptionist states she has submitted the request and once notes are ready they will send it. Why does visit notes take over a week to do and send? Overall, I think this place makes it very inconvenient for owners as they are not responsive with requests.

I have chosen to come back to Mission for two emergencies. I feel pretty safe bringing my babies here. It's very clean and organized, professional and courteous. don't feel like they're trying to squeeze money, just trying to provide necessary care with the right guidance. 1st experience here: One pet, I brought her to see internist to solve the mystery of her high liver values. He was very informative and was honest and didn't just throw random tests. But test in order of conclusion to help us save funds. 2nd experience here: my mom's kitten - I don't know how to feel about this. She passed from FIP. She was brought in at 6am as a lethargic kitten without an appetite and ended up declining rapidly after midnight. I would think that being at a vets office all day, there's enough time to come to a conclusion and treatment to save. - but apparently FIP is hard to reach diagnosis and her symptoms weren't obviously pointing to it until it was too late. But, I will say the vet on duty this night was incredible. I wish she was on the morning rotation- maybe she would have caught her symptoms sooner. But who knows. The vet was very kind, compassionate and patient. She helped us make an informed decision. All in all, I would still go back to mission vet. Any ER will be pricey but I assure you... there are ones FAR more expensive with less care. Ps. Do not go to VEG ER on 410. I regret it in my bones. My other baby Tobi would have lived if we did not go there. ...

Snowflake saw Dr. Maple, Dr. Taylor, Dr. Andrade, and I believe that Dr. Brown was overnight care. Each veterinarian took their time with me--answered every single question (around 20 minutes) each time and gave Snowflake the best treatment plan. Mason, Tina, Raul, plus two others were the best technicians! All of them spoke to me at length and treated me with the same compassion and understanding. The staff in the front desk was incredible--David, Anna, Crystal and others. Snowflake almost died in the car on the last visit. She could not breathe and her tongue was purple. I rushed her in and said, "my cat is dying! She needs oxygen"--David rushed her to the back and Anna and Crystal assisted me with care. I thought for sure she was dead. Dr. Andrade and her team (Tina and others) saved her life. Mason took me to the back when she was stable and Tina talked to me any my boyfriend for about 20 minutes, educating us about the inhaler. Snowflake was next to us in the oxygen chamber. Overnight, Tina text me with a picture of Snowflake and update. The next morning, Raul did the same thing--picture and update. I was floored! I didn't even ask for it. Snowflake stayed 24 hours. We picked her up and Tina spent 40 minutes with us showing us how to use the inhaler and continuing to educate us and answer questions. Snowflake just got home and is resting. When I need to go back, I KNOW she will be taken care of. I also saw them care for other animals with the same amount of care. I will recommend them to EVERYONE. THANK YOU BECKER TEAM! From one angel arm to another!

When I walked in, she was taken back within 5 minutes - I wasn't even finished checking in yet. Now, I did wait a while - almost two hours - for the vet to come in, but like another reviewer mentioned, this is an ER and they are BUSY. (You wait a day to see a doctor in a human ER.) Dr. Mapel came in and went over my options and the prices. Was it a lot? Yes. However, getting a pet comes with a price tag to keep them safe and healthy. My dad was a veterinarian and these people work tirelessly and a lot of times thanklessly, but they are compassionate people and that's what I saw with ALL of the staff at Becker. If I have another emergency, this is where I will be coming. :)

They never made it clear that this is a drop off kind of vet, you don't go back into an exam room with your pet. So I had to make arrangements to have her picked up, since I thought it was safe to assume that I would be free to go into work at 12-4. During intake, the technician opened up her carrier to take a look at her in the waiting room where dogs were present which felt super unsafe. Then for pick up, they told me she was ready and I had to wait over half an hour to be seen again. I requested an itemized receipt for the $360 I paid for treatments and was given this illegible piece of paper. I wasn't told (and if it's on this paper I couldn't make it out) what ointment they put on her skin, so the next morning when she had accidentally ingested some of it after getting her cone off and was having poisoning symptoms, I had no idea what she had consumed and they were closed so I couldn't call. This whole experience has left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. Also, I asked if I couldn't just get an over-the-counter iron supplement to try to lower my bill and they said "no, we really recommend you get this one since she has mild anemia," but I went home and looked and found the exact same one available OTC for $8 cheaper. I can appreciate that they're trying to provide affordable vet care which is so needed, but I cannot recommend their services. Side note: Moreso weird than anything but Shrek was playing on a loop in the waiting room at a pretty loud volume and I felt like it was making my cat even more stressed out.

This review is for grooming. I hope this place has security cameras in their grooming department…read morebecause I suspect the groomer abused my dog. I had a first time appointment this morning for an express groom, and handed my dog off to the groomer. Minutes after he took my pup and closed the door, I could hear my dog screaming in pain - two shrieks. I know the difference between anxious barking/whining and cries when a dog is hurt. My dog cried in pain. He is an anxious dog with separation anxiety, yes, but the only time I've heard him make the noise he did was when another dog bit him and when a neighbor accidentally stepped on his foot. I've also fostered hundreds of dogs, so can tell the difference. My gut/instincts told me to just cancel on the spot and take my dog home, so I told the front desk to charge me whatever is needed and we go without the groom. My dog is 3 years old and has been groomed every 3 months for his entire life. Grooming is not new for him, plus I gave him trazodone 1.5 hours prior. I wish I could've liked this place because it's so close to home but it's not worth it when the groomer is inexperienced and abusing the dogs. I spent less than 20 minutes there but my gut instinct told me that this is not a safe or experienced place to hand off your dogs. Do NOT go here

My first thought was to get him off of chicken so was feeding him lamb and rabbit (he didn't care for and it didn't help). The clinic docs we were taking him to for numerous visits over the span of many months tried several medications, including steroid medications and shots which brought on a bad respiratory infection and a severe eye infection. But we were told it was not food-related and referred to a feline dermatologist. Instead, we switched to Buttercup Veterinary Hospital and saw Dr. Jensen. She examined him, immediately said it was food-related, and prescribed a hydrolyzed protein food. It's been 3 weeks and he is doing amazingly well! His sores are healed up and his fur is back! She also found a heart irregularity and is addressing that also.

It seemed like there was always another test, treatment, or add-on being pushed, even for routine appointments. I understand recommendations are part of veterinary care, but the constant pressure made the experience uncomfortable and expensive. Overall, I wouldn't personally recommend Buttercup Veterinary Hospital based on my experience. We've raised German Shepherds for years, so we're very familiar with the breed and common skin and allergy issues. My son's GSD is currently visiting, and I stopped by Buttercup Veterinary Hospital simply trying to purchase more of the medicated shampoo they had previously recommended for itchy skin. I was denied because my own GSD, who was a patient there and was ultimately put down at their clinic, had passed away, so I was told I was no longer considered a current patient. Losing my dog was heartbreaking, and the interaction felt cold and unnecessarily transactional. Unfortunately, that experience reinforced my overall feeling that this clinic focuses more on upselling appointments and services. Find a vet who doesn't shut people out when their pet passes away.
