    I've heard of Simpatico, but this is more like Same-Petco, in other words it's the same as a lot of the other Petco locations. Located in the rich part of town, you will find this pet store which we go to on a regular basis because it's close to our house, and they usually have more stock than the one on Shepherd. Also, I have good memories of this store specifically, because in the early days of our lovely Furry Babies, we would come here on a regular basis.

    We took our newly-adopted dog here for "Adult Level 1" training with Cara. There were 2 other dogs in the class, and it was great. Cara was exceptionally good, which was obvious because all 3 dogs were at so different, but she related to each of them expertly. We had to miss 1 of the weekends, and I really appreciate that they offer a "make-up" lesson. We enjoyed being in the class, and enjoyed shopping in the store as well. Would recommend!

    We ABSOLUTELY LOVE Cara in the dog training department. She is patient, kind, and clever in her approaches with our sweet but very nervous adult dog. The adult level 1 class was very helpful and we cannot wait for adult level 2!

    Since first becoming a dog mom I've been coming to this PetCo to get my maltese groomed, find food for his picky taste buds and overall ownership advice. It's a but pricy but it's convenient. There enthusiastic dog trainer, Shelby is eager to help answer the oddest of pet questions and is super knowledgeable of the stores brands and products. She's taken me on dog food "tours" so I could make the right choice and feel confident in my decision. I appreciated that she asked me about my budget and offered best solutions to switching brands. Grooming: so far I've taken my dog three times to get groomed here. The prices are competitive for my long haired maltese. Shauni ce and Bryce have done a great job keeping him looking his best. Best of all they'll touch him up on the spot if a few hairs are out of place. My dog always leaves looking his best and happy.

    I'm so annoyed with this Petco. I only come here because it's super close to my house. My latest experience was as follows. I had to finish purchased on June 23 that passed away for unknown causes. According to Petco's website, you are able to return fish for an exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase. Because my other fish had not yet consumed the remains of these two as they have done in the past, I was able to extract and freeze my fish until I was able to bring the fish back to the store. On July 9, I was able to make my return. The associate Jannet told me it would not be a problem. I waited a long time for somebody to help me, and made an even exchange with identical fish from the same tank. As I went to check out with a couple other products, I felt like my total purchase might have been too high. Upon receiving my receipt I noticed that she refunded the cheapest to fish on my old receipt, instead of the 2 swords. In effect, Jannet ended up overcharging me by two dollars plus tax. Super annoyed because having a two-year-old with me, I don't have time to figure out the difference. I brought it up to Jannet after the transaction was complete and she Couldn't have cared less. In fact I'm pretty sure I noticed an eye roll. She blamed it on the fact that the fishes were different SKUs. This is one of the many annoying things that have occurred at the store. I just walked out and offered to gladly give my review. Please see pics for proof. I returned 2 swords (worth $2.99 ea) and bought 2 swords at $2.99 each. I was only refunded $3.98. Every time I come here 90% of the employees are incompetent.

The neighbors called animal control to let them know about abandoned puppies in the house. However, the new owner arrived and shot Emma's puppy siblings in front of her. Animal control officers showed up right as the new owner was about to kill Emma and her last remaining sister. They took Emma and her sister to their outdoor no kill shelter where she stayed for 8 months. Because of Emma's trauma and her isolation at the shelter, she had a lot of fear issues when we adopted her. Her first night with us was her first time being in a house since the one she was abandoned in. It was hard getting her through doorways because she had a lot of fear. We decided to call Beyond the Dog right away. Lindsey came and spent a lot of time working with her. It took a week for Emma to let her get near her. Lindsey was very dedicated to winning her over. She was so patient and wonderful with her. Emma came out of her shell and Lindsey was able to work with her on basic commands and on getting her out around people. Emma built a strong bond with Lindsey and was excited by Lindsey's visits and even gave her kisses. One of my big worries with Emma was getting her to a vet and letting them give her shots. At the beginning, I could not see how that would have been possible. She had a lot of trust issues. She was very fearful of men (even my dad). Lindsey worked on socializing her and getting her out in public around people. At the end of the training program, Lindsey came with us to the vet and we got to watch Emma get shots from the vet. Our vet was even very impressed by Lindsey and the Beyond the Dog. Now that Emma is finished with training, she has a lot of confidence and even goes up to people. Lindsey truly trains with love. We are very thankful for all her time and effort with Emma.

Every day was something different for Luka to experience and we thought it was really awesome that they took him to a bookstore, had a Pool party, went to the park, play dates with other pups, etc. They let me know off the bat that if their was anything I really wanted them to work on with Luka that they would try their best to assist. They showed me the grooming tools they have laying around just to help dogs get comfortable with them. They helped us introduce Luka to getting his teeth brushed as well as brushing his coat. I really appreciated them suggesting I swing by and take a tour of the facility before signing him up. We got to see where the puppies were kept for "nap time", how they were separated from the bigger dogs, the measures they'd take on hot days to ensure that the dogs stay fresh, etc They were always very responsive and were very understanding when last minute changes came up and we had to reschedule one of Lukas day. Can't say enough about the positive experience with Revival. We were so sad we couldn't continue Lukas training with them considering we moved out of state but very thankful they helped increase Lukas confidence around other pups, different environments, and just learning new things everyday. They seemed to have a good inventory of items and there wasn't stuff all over the floor or accidents that dogs had caused. We went in the middle of the week in the middle of the day so there was a good amount of parking. I don't know if I would come here on the weekends because N. Shepherd is super busy and it's hard to get in and out of to turn back onto the Main Street.

Even though they offered to do absolutely nothing for taking up my entire day, I tried to be understanding and I get people make mistakes, continued to come back again. I drop my dog off at 10 am for an appointment 6/6 I made weeks in advance, they confirm my appointment the day before as well, at 2PM IN THE AFTERNOON I'm informed there's no groomer there, never was a groomer down on the schedule at all. The best they could give me is "sorry you can come back tomorrow or another day and we can TRY and make sure someone is there" Oh not to mention every time I go it's always a different price with no explanation. As someone that's been with you for 5 years, never no showed, not payed or caused any fuss this customer service was extremely disappointing.

The first day we met them I took Toro for an evaluation, I explained my main concerns about Toro's behavior, Trey worked with the leash for 45 minutes (nothing crazy, any other dog trainer could have done it too) and they convinced me they could "fix" Toro's behavior. They created a whole work plan, I was so excited, this guy Trey should be on sales because I totally fell for everything he said. Toro stayed at their house FOR exactly a MONTH. The main plan was that Toro was going to stay with them for two weeks and then he was going to come back home to see his behavior and then he was going to go back with Trey for the needed touch ups, they also promised me to keep me updated with daily videos, I received 4 videos from them, on one it's just Trey walking Toro in a grocery store and the others are Toro in his kennel or playing with Trey's dogs in the backyard, I DIDIN'T received videos of Trey training him. Well, I don't know why but they just kept postponing the day of his pick up I literally had to go pick my dog up because they kept pushing the date, sketchy huh? When I picked him up Toro a month after, he was VERY SKINNY, and he had a bump on his face (pictures attached). The night I picked him up, Trey was showing us how to control Toro with the leash, he was doing the same show he did the first day, I could tell he was struggling to control him, after 15 min Toro calmed down a little bit and that's when Beth started recording, I guess for publicity purposes, but of course she didn't filmed when Toro wasn't miss behaving, she also stopped recording when I made a question to Trey about me not seeing any improvement they totally put him in the spot. Toro came back home with us and his behavior was even WORSE, he was jumping on cars and he was being reactive to people, things that he didn't do. Toro's main problem is reactivity to other dogs, Trey confirmed he was aggressive which is NOT TRUE as Toro worked with a younger trainer before and he said his reactivity was not for aggression and even when dogs get close to him he never tries to bite them, I've attached a picture where Trey said Toro's a little aggressive when greeting other dogs and tries to dominate but that he was going to solve it that I had nothing to worry about that it was more like showing a child how to calm at the dinner table. Trey saying Toro is aggressive is just an excuse for him not being able to do his job. After picking my dog under bad conditions and his behavior definitely not better I decided to stop working with them so I sent a text message explaining them my reasons and concerns and asking for a refund, I offered to pay them as a "DAY CARE" for the whole month that the kept my dog but I wasn't comfortable with them taking 2,000 USD from me when they know they didn't do what promised. I wanted my money back because I AM NOT SATISFIED with their service. OF COURSE they didn't give me a refund, not even a partial refund, Trey got super defensive, he was talking about getting lawyers involved and that it wasn't his first time dealing with a situation like this, lol I wonder why? The first time I met Trey he smelled like alcohol, which gave me a bad feeling of leaving my dog under their care, should have trusted my gut. SCAMMERS!!!

Well, that was a GRAVE mistake and I see why they were so happy to get me in asap. First of all, the girl that answered the phone gave me some pricing "based on weight" which I totally understand. I then ask her about the discounts they showed online and she started stuttering as if she didn't really want to give it to me. Her response was "oh um yes, if you were a first time customer then i guess we would give you 10%". You knew I clearly was but moving along. I told them I wanted teddy bear cuts for my 2 mini poodles. She said they might have some matting charges and I said that's fine. I took them up there, the groomer barely examined them or talked to me before proceeding to take my dogs in the back to get started. 5 hours later, I pick them up and my dogs look NOTHING like what I asked for. I wanted to maintain length but they chopped off half on both of their bodies. I wanted a rounded teddy bear face and they SHAVED their faces. I have NEVER went to a groomer where they did something without calling me. If you're not able to do what I asked then I should have been at least notified by phone. NOT when I'm picking them up and the damage is done. On top of that, the ENTIRE cut on BOTH dogs were choppy! Not to mention they charged me $250 WITH the 10% discount. The girl also tried to charge me extra for trimming of the paws and ears. I asked isn't that included in the full groom? She said "oh yeah, let me take that off". THE WORST part?! I asked why the extra $80? She said it was because they had to detangle for an extra 15 minutes. Yes. 15 minutes. I will post the receipt. Lastly, for this price you would think that they would put a bandana or a bow on them. NOPE. They will never touch my dogs again. They do not care about the dogs and you can tell they are here just for the money. I'm sorry but I'm leaving my babies with you, I have to trust that you actually care. I will be posting pics of them AFTER a groom at Happy Snoutz on Sept 16, 2025 and also pictures from today. PLEASE do not waste your money or think because it's in River Oaks that they are quality. They are definitely NOT
