There was urine in multiple aisles thats more of a pet parent issue then a employee issue (please pick up after your animals) The only thing I knocked a star off is the fact they don't price match their own prices online. The kitten formula my friend needed was marked $15 lower on the Petco website then in store. Since the kittens were hungry and the momma cat wasn't feeding her babies, it was needed now and not the next pick up time. Usually other stores will price match their items online no matter the price difference. The cashier here said she can only take 20% off as they don't price match their own online prices. When I arrived at the appointed date/time, the disinterested clerk looked up from scrolling through her phone to tell me that they had only booked him for a bath and didn't have time for a cut. They're located in a shopping center with Whole Foods, Target, Taco Cabana and much more, so there's lots of people in and out. Watch out. Very upset with how I was treated in the aquarium department. Staff were very uneducated on prices for saltwater fish and Joe to identify the fish to the price and picture. Staff kept saying the fish specialist wasn't in and they didn't understand or know how to match the fish to the price and picture that was listed. I asked for a supervisor and was told that the same staff member that was helping me was the supervisor. Shouldn't the supervisor of the store be knowledgeable of things as such? My pet just vanished... where did my Petco? This is the pretty decent Petco close to my gym, but it's very expensive just like the rest of them. This one is located out on the west side in Westchase and therefore very convenient for a lot of the places that we go, but also not the friendliest. Located on Westheimer in Westchase, this is a pretty standard location of Petco, and prices are much higher than we want to pay which is why we don't come very often, even though we go to the gym literally 2 minutes walk from the store. Did an excellent groom on my standard poodle. Love the shampoo and conditioner they use. She stays soft and sweet smelling longer after being groomed at Petco. I keep her in a Jacket and Pants clip. Went here to get my puppy groomed today. I had horrible customer service with a young lady name Chelsea i think or Camille. She was very rude, wasted my time and cut my dog wrong. She ended up giving me my puppy back without completing the job. Her supervisor came out i can't remember the young african American lady name was but she was very helpful. I ended up not having to pay because that lady was completely in the wrong, i got asked to come back tomorrow to get things finished for free. I scheduled a grooming and nail appointment for my newly adopted dog a few months back. I had a poor experience with a very poorly done trim job that required me to visit the vet 2 days later. I contacted customer service and heard back from the store manager, Von, a few days later. He was professional, apologetic, and understanding on the phone; offered me $25 off my next bag of dog food and a free dog bath. I called ahead to the store to ensure Von was working and was told he was. I drove to the location, picked up my dog food and went to the counter to checkout and pick up (hopefully) a coupon for the free bath. Von never came to the front to speak to me at all. I was given $21 off my order and no mention of the bath at all. I will never come back for any type of grooming or service. I can't get over what an awesome experience I had. The store, the products, and set up all seem great but really it was all Tegan. Never have you met someone so caring, thorough and helpful. She walked by and probably sensed that I was new to harnesses after just picking up my first dog ever this morning from a Rescue. Tegan was so friendly, impossibly patient, and was just very "real" with me about products. Way beyond basic duties, she helped give me general suggestions about dog ownership and even helped me sign up for training. All of this after having a perfectly good experience at PetSmart but it PALED in comparison to my brilliant experience with Tegan. After having met Ashlyn, our trainer, I'm stoked about our classes. read more

Yall this about to be a long post and I might curse because I am Livid!!!! So today Na'ilah (my puppy) had an appointment at 8am to get her haircut. Now for everybody who knows me knows I don't wake up early for nothing. So I wake up at 7am. Its across the street so I got there at 7:30am and waited until 8am. Now nobody in the parking lot but two cars. Im watching everybody go to work and stuff. Boom 7:54am roll around I get out Walk up to the door...all the lights still off Im looking through the glass nobody in there. 7:58am I call the store because aint nobody pull up or walk in or nothing. Nobody answered. I go on google and see the place don't open until 9am so now Im mad. Like why have bookings for 8am if you don't open til 9am. But ok, I go kill time because Now I gotta wait longer. I come back 8:56am. More cars in the lot but people sitting in their cars so I'm like they waiting to go too (they had dogs in the car). So at 9am the doors started opening so me and the other lady get out and go in. She got there before me so obviously they took her no problem. When it's my turn I tell her I had an appointment for 8am but when I got here I seem yall aint open until 9am. She said "um yea..you gonna have to reschedule " and I said "why do I have to reschedule when I was here and yall was closed" she tells me she aint see no cars in the parking lot or didn't see nobody walk up to the doors. I showed her I called and texts to other ppl explain what was going on. She said well I don't have any other opening today ....then changed it to saying she would take Na'ilah but it would be in 4hrs. Now usually I would just be ok but she wasn't even trying to understand where I was coming from she just kept saying she didn't see anybody in the parking lot. Looking for cars in the lot is not a way of knowing who here and who not ,what if I walked? She didn't apologize for the inconvenience. Now Im already pissed that I'm up before people go to work im not going to lie about sitting in a parking lot sis. After explaining several times Of me telling her I walked to the door she tells me "well we can't just leave the doors unlocked " And I replied...." well if you can't open the fucking doors before you open stop booking before you open!" It says on the website that it was 'shipped' (order tracking number created) on 5/11 and will be delivered on 5/18; but as of today 5/14 - USPS site says it has only received shipping info - not package. This rating goes towards, Angela, the manager in the grooming department. This location is quite close, and we want to ensure we support businesses in the area. With the emergence of online shopping, retail venues have to compete by providing exceptional services that will retain a customer base, such service as grooming. If this store has noticed a decline or is not meeting goals, it's definitely a training and staff issue, and bad management. We called on Friday March 29 at 1:50 pm to schedule a grooming appointment. We were given available time slots for Monday April 1 of 9a, 11a and 1p. We choose 1pm. Angela called us Sunday March 31 at 4:50 pm to tell us she could not possibly complete this appointment because she already had an appointment at noon and wouldn't be done by 1pm. She also placed blame on her staff stating that they gave us non existent time slots. That the only available time slots for an express groom are 8am and Noon. So she didn't train her staff correctly if they are giving incorrect time slots. Listen, you all aren't new to scheduling. Train your manager to know how to manage, it's definitely not a leadership because she took no responsibility and instead placed blame. She offered no resolution other than 10% off an available appointment on Wednesday April 3 which we can't make. We called in advance, no one noticed we were given non-existent time slots until an hour before you close on Sunday? We do have to give kudos to the rest of your team, they always greet us when we walk through the door and help with any needed questions. read more

This is for their GROOMING SALON. I've taken my older miniature schnauzer to this place for 2 years, and the past 3 times the quality in cuts have gone down. We took our 8 month old to the salon today for his 3rd cut in life and am still shell-shocked from the experience. Dropped the pups off at 9 am for their scheduled appointment. I requested that my older pup get a standard schnauzer cut with a 5F length (a longer length). For my younger pup, I requested that they "shell" his underbelly - essentially leaving a little skirt around the sides. This is a style I have had done for YEARS with my pups. At 10:30 am, they called to ask if an apprentice groomer could cut my older dog. Since he is a very gentle dog, I agreed but warned that I wanted a more experienced groomer to cut my younger pup, as he is still getting used to the process. At 12:30 pm, they called to say that they "absolutely had to" shave my younger dogs beard off. A dog that was just groomed 8 weeks ago and is brushed on a regular basis. I questioned the reasoning behind it and was told that that it had already been done and that I just didn't realize how matted his beard was. I was livid. We ran to the store to see the damage and note that my older dog was cut at a 10 (the shortest blade they have) and not the 5F. Then we see my poor younger pup. HE IS COMPLETELY SHAVED. There is nothing remotely schnauzer looking about his cut, he currently looks like a black and silver mini-pin. I look at the bill and notice I was charged for a regular groomer price, not an apprentice groomer fee. And with my younger pup I was charged several additional charges including a $6 shaving fee. When I asked about this, I was told that there was nothing to be done and I just didn't understand the fee structure. I HAVE BEEN GETTING SCHNAUZERS GROOMED FOR 14 YEARS, I KNOW HOW THIS WORKS!!! We are now at home and have found several razor burn marks on my youngest pup. Do not take your dogs here!!! read more
