I'd like to say this place is awesome, but the customer service is lacking. The facility is wonderful, clean, and sparkling new. So I was eager to board my dog. I went in person to make an appointment & look around. I was pleased! I made the reservation & submitted my dog's shot records. I asked about making a deposit, but the woman said it wasn't necessary. This was more than a week in advance. The day before my reservation, I was contacted by a different woman saying my dog's shots were expired. I was told that unless my vet could provide documents excusing my dog from booster shots, they could not board. This was within 12 hours of my drop-off time! I was completely inconvenienced with this unprofessional behavior. My previous experience didn't influence the 3-stars I gave, but this was my second bad example of customer service. read more

Be cautious bringing your dogs here. I had my dogs boarded here for 8 days and they both came home infested with fleas. My senior dog came back in worst shape. 1 of my dogs was booked for half day play and the other wasn't since she is a senior dog. My senior dog was returned to me with her own shit matted on her bottom which i can tell had been on her for days because it was hard and i had to cut out before bathing her and she smelled of pee where i can tell she had been sitting in her own pee and poop. They are still "washing her bed and blanket" and told me they would return it to me tmrw.. which i will honestly just throw away. Imy second dog i paid for a bath so who knows how he really was. But he was definitely infested with fleas they were crawling all over him and he was scratching. So i had to bathe him anyways. I bathe them both 3 time with flea and tick shampoo picking and combing out each dead flea on them after the bathes. All for a $600 bill isn't worth it if your dogs arent going to be kept clean...so if you book just be cautious. read more

My 14.6 lb dog was put in a group with dogs 3x his size. There were no play activities. He just walked and laid around all day. Mind you that he goes to another Doggie Daycare and plays with dogs his size and comes home extremely happy and tired. Avoid Pet Suites Westheimer Doggie Daycare at all cost. read more

I have been bringing my pup her for months and she absolutely adores this place. It is very unfortunate that I am having to write this review. I adopted my pup about 6 months ago and the shelter that I adopted her from completed her vaccines. Due to them being a high volume shelter they preform their Bordetella vaccines every 6 months (it is just their protocol) . But overall The Bordetella vaccine that she was administered is good for a year. I should note that I am a Veterinary Technician, and have been for over 9 years. I took my pup in for boarding today and was turned away because the records that the shelter provided me during adoption still stated that the Bordetella vaccine was due in 6 months(which came out to this week). Totally understand that they have to go off of what the record says. So I called the shelter I adopted my pup from and explained the situation to them. They confirmed the vaccine that was given to my pup was a year vaccine and they stated that they would correct the records and resend them to me. I get the records and provide them to the facility. They turned around and said they can not accept the new records because the only reason the shelter changed the records is because I told them too. Do you really believe a shelter is willing to forge a document just for one client that they barely even know. Once again I decided to work with them. So I asked "If I call one of the vets that she is established with and have them verbally explain the way these vaccines work, will that be enough for you to believe that this physical medical record that I have in my hands is not forged?" They stated that yes that will work. So I got one of my pup's vet on the phone and explained the situation. The vet was more then happy to talk to the facility. The phone call ended and the staff stated that it still was not enough. They feel like since I am a vet tech, that I was able to get the vet to basically lie on the phone. Do you really think that 1. I would risk my credentials for a stupid vaccine record, and 2. Do you really believe that the vet would risk her medical license to lie to you about a vaccine! I understand that the original records stated that she was due for that vaccine, but I did everything I can to prove to them that it is up to date. The fact that the shelter changed the date, and you literally talked to her vet on the phone, but yet you still think I was able to mastermind everything that played out in a moments notice! I have been in the animal medical field for years. I know what happens to dogs and cats that don't keep up with their vaccines. I see the negative side of that first hand every single day. I would not put my dog through that no matter what. I will keep her vaccines up to date even if she never sets foot outside ever again. So to be told that the facility believes that I basically forged medical records is just absurd. I hate that things had to go this way because I truly loved every pet care team member there. But if they are going to be strict about vaccines(as any boarding place should be) then the management team should be more trained on the medical side of the field. Right after this I took my pup to another boarding facility and told them everything that happened. They could not believe it and did not question the medical records at all. read more

I took my dogs to be groomed and my poor little dog looked butchered by Edward Scissorhands. It was so bad even the dog was embarrassed. My other dog ended up with about eight hotspots on her back and her neck. (High vet bill) I would not recommend anybody to use this location for any type of grooming. They can't handle constructive criticism on a terrible haircut. It was a blessing in disguise when my groomer called and canceled my next appointment. too expensive, our dog stays there for a couple of weeks and she returns super skinny and injury on one of her leg, and with diarrhea I don't know why? we ask for the grooming service and they didn't even brush her hair, worst service ever ! read more

So far we have been very happy with Pet Suites on Westheimer. They are professional and the place is always clean. I really love the special events they have for the dogs; very cute and original.ithink they love and understand animals and it makes me comfortable bringing my babies for daycare. read more

This place is poorly run and should not be in business. They are dangerous to their own employees and your pets. I got a call from Petsuites yesterday, two hours after dropping off my dog. They said she attacked two dogs and bit a staff member, puncturing her wrist. My dog has never bitten anyone or signaled that she would, even when in extreme pain rehabbing a fractured femur. No incidents were reported during her behavior evaluation and first four-night stay at this facility three weeks prior, although my dog did come home with some unexplained fresh scabs. And my dog never got in a fight in a couple dozen group play visits over 4 years at her prior boarding facility on the other side of town. My dog is a sweet, snuggly pit mix. Unfortunately bite allegations can be a death sentence for dogs that look like her. So I canceled my flight and rushed back to the facility. On the way I asked to speak to the general manager. She was busy, so I waited on hold for 30 minutes during the drive. The story changed dramatically by the time I arrived. The GM said: My dog and a female husky were chasing each other around the play yard. A male malamute stepped in and collided with my dog. My dog began biting the malamute. The sole staff member present among 25 loose dogs ran over and scruffed the malamute Eventually other staff members arrived and separated the dogs. None of the three dogs involved in the altercation were bleeding or had injuries of any kind according to the GM. My dog does not. The staff member who scruffed the malamute had bite marks on her fingers and a deep wound on her wrist. The report says she could not see who bit her, but that it must have been my dog because it is not possible for a malamute to bite while scruffed. No mention of the female husky or the 23 other dogs present. Scruffing an adult dog, by itself, is a painful and ineffective means of control, particularly for a dog the size of a malamute. During a fight. With 24 other dogs present. My first thought was the employee surprised and hurt the malamute by scruffing him during a tense moment, and he snapped at her reflexively. The GM assured me that is impossible. A dog cannot bite a person who is scruffing them. I asked the GM if she trains employees to break up fights by scruffing dogs with bare hands by themselves. She began rattling off all the tools available to employees to break up dog fights, saying each may be used depending on specific circumstances. I asked again. She said scruffing a dog is a reasonable and effective method of breaking up a dog fight, and it's up to the employee's discretion. The GM then explained to me that none of this is really a big deal - it just means all three dogs must switch to private play (at greater cost). I asked to see the surveillance tape of the play room. The GM did not know whether she was allowed to let me see the footage, but promised to get back to me (she has not). She said you can't really see what happened on the tape anyway. I asked for a copy of the incident report. She was initially reluctant, but agree to share a redacted copy. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes as she manually redacted the report with a sharpie and white-out. She removed the injured employee's name - fair enough. She also redacted the names of every one of her bosses from the report header. She had previously promised to ask her boss to call me (no calls yet). I guess she was worried I might call first. I don't think my dog bit anyone, dog or human. The incident reports says no one saw any dog bite the employee. Not the surveillance cameras, not even the injured employee herself. The employee assumed it was my dog, and the only reason given is that she was scruffing a malamute when she thinks the injury occurred. That makes no sense. Why was she scruffing the malamute anyway? According to the incident report my dog was the aggressor. If it's because a malamute was attacking a dog half his size (my 60 lb pit mix) what chance would a petite female human have to hold back a Malamute by the scruff? Was there even a dog fight to break up? According to the GM none of the 3 dogs involved were bleeding or injured in any way. Any trained dog handler knows not to break up a dog fight with your bare hands. Any trained dog handler can distinguish rough play from violence. Turns out my concern about a probably false bite report being filed for my little girl was overblown. The GM told me they don't actually report bites to the city. I asked how they get around state law requiring all animal bites be reported. She said it's just not their policy to "call the cops on dogs". I asked if this is the first time an employee has been bitten. She said it's the 6th time since opening up in December 2021 (5 dog, one cat), and none have been reported to the city. Then she clarified it's really only 4 dog bites - she doesn't count a (subsequently euthanized) behavior rehab project their trainer took on. read more
