Found this place on Yelp (duh!) when I was looking to switch from another boarding facility that I have been taking my furbaby to for the last 4-5yrs. Their interview process was so professional; talked me through everything upfront so I knew what to expect. Facility: very clean! My dog never comes home "stinky" even after a few days of boarding and all-day play. Also appreciate the ability to check on my doggy via the live feed cameras. Staff: so far everyone I've interacted with has been very nice. I was a helicopter mom the first time I boarded my baby with them and, in addition to stalking the live camera feed (I have no shame), Devin was patient with me when I called and gave me a play by play on how my dog was doing. First of all, the place has roaches EVERYWHERE. the staff pretends to care about the dogs but really don't. They throw away treats that the owners bring to make it look like their dog got a treat. They ask you if your dog wants a blanket to sleep with or if they want a "Campfire Treat" at night but 9 times out of 10 they don't give the blanket or the treat. So happy that I chose this facility to take care of our dogs when we were on vacation. From the initial call where they explained everything thoroughly to the detailed assessment, they provided us with outstanding customer service. We have a 9 year old large breed and a new rescue puppy that had the best time at camp. I could watch them on video and see all the fun they were having. The staff were seen giving our pups tons of love and keeping all the dogs safe. There was plenty of water and room for all the dogs and no hesitation when it came to cleaning up messes that occurred. I never once had to worry about the safety or care given and I'm thankful we found the perfect place for our pups. Talked to 2 employees about the interview process. I said I could be there around 8:45 and was told around 9 would be better. Was never told this was a set appointment time. Was running late, had a home inspection that morning. When I came in he was very put out with me. I told him I didn't know 9 was an appointment, but I general time to be there. He said my dog would be put in a room with a bowl of water for a couple of hours while they got to her. I had to be out of my house for several hours, but took my dog with me instead of leaving her there. read more

My pups (Ollie and Willow) absolutely love coming to Camp Bow Wow! I have been taking care of various projects around the house and this is such a great place to bring them. The care at the Katy location has gone downhill. Last few times (gave them the benefit of the doubt first time) I have had to call and call to get them to put a proper sized cot (instead of the smallest one) in the Luxury Suite for my Great Dane. One night she spent the entire night on the concrete altogether with NO cot. My dog was bitten to point of bleeding last stay. When I realized that and send pix to manager, he played like he knew nothing and NEVER got back with any information. The worst episode was last week. After asking that my very old Great Dane not be left in the play area with the slick polished floor, they put her in there anyway and she injured herself. And they LEFT her on the floor. When I arrived she could not even walk. We had to drag her on a bed to the front of the facility and another customer helped me get her into my truck. They never apologize for anything, never call you back with follow up to concerns, and I feel like they are just there for your money. Never going back and never recommending to anyone. Could not be happier with my pup's Camp Bow Wow experience! This was my first time boarding him so I was definitely nervous, but everyone at Camp Bow Wow made me feel so comfortable leaving him there. Not a fan. Very expensive for having your dog run around in a concrete room all day. Also they are very nit picky about requirements and dont care what your vet says. It feels they get very personal and selectively enforce requirements based on whether they like you and/or your dog. I have spent a lot of money here and I and my dog were turned away at the door because of some new vaccine they randomly started requiring. Health and safety for your pups is what they will blame it on but it feels pretty shady. read more

Absolutely stellar dog daycare and boarding facility! I've been bringing my Corgi here for about a year now, and it has been an absolute dream. The staff is always incredibly welcoming and makes you feel like family, the facilities are always clean and in tip-top shape, and my Corgi can't wait to go to Camp Bow Wow every morning. I chose Camp Bow Wow because my friend said it was the best place to take your dog. Also her sister is a part owner of one in Louisiana, so I thought ok I'll check it out. We made an appointment for both our dogs Ralphie & Maggie. The passed their interview with flying colors and Robert was the one that help us through the whole thing. My fiancé at the time made an appointment for our dogs to stay there for 7 days while we were out of the country for our wedding. Robert was awesome, he answered all my questions and put me at ease. These are my babies, so I packed each of them a bag 3 blankets in each bag as well as some toys, and medicine if it should be needed I also left them with two notes to help them out when I came my puppies. Please understand my dogs have never been away from us for this amount of time. They go to dog park on a regular basis, but this is a little different. When I dropped them off I was greeted by Robert once again and took all their and assured me they were good. I left him 2 people he could contact if there were any issues or emergencies. Well I felt good at this point, that was short lived. My sister calls me to tell me my older dog Ralphie is being difficult & won't corporate. I told her to tell them to give him time, he is new to all this, which I'm sure they deal with all the time. After that we didn't hear anymore about it. When we retured we rushed to get there and we were met by this girl who I'd never seen before. She told us that she needed to tell us a few things about Ralphie. I'll be honest, I was tired and I really didn't want to hear this girl complain about a job she signed up for. She went on on... about how she felt. As this was going on a little extra formed behind us and I came unglued. I just want my dogs and their stuff! What do we owe you?! They went to go my little on Maggie and I took to the car. Then I asked where their blankets were and all the stuff I packed for them? They have them back to me smelling like urine and in some dirty bin. Then they went to get Ralphie and he was barking at them so my husband had to go get him. We take them home a notice tag that Maggie has these red rashes all over her tummy and privates. We call the camp the next day and Jasmine (same girl) tells us that she was bathed before we got there and no one said anything. I took her to the vet and the vet said it was an infection she had developed from laying in her urine for a long period of time. I lost it. How could they do this?! She is so sweet and they just left her because my other dog was difficult. My husband called Jasmine back and asked to speak to the owner and we got no where. She knew she had done wrong and I wanted justice for my puppy. I emailed him and received a response back rather quickly. My husband noticed that the owner and the GM Jasmine had the same last name. Oh great they are related so we will never get anywhere. He offer us free time at camp, but why would ever tryst you people with my babies again? Then he went one to excuses about my other dog which I didn't care for. You signed up to be in this business then deal with it. If this were a child this happend too they would be all.over the news, but they don't care. All he offered was a refund for the vet and apologize. What struck a nerve with me was he stated they did not neglect them oh really? Her rashes aka infection was not from one time! It was several times being left to soak in her urine. UNACCEPTABLE! I've already written the corporate office and I will write this review on every review site I can. I will post pictures all of error Facebook and Google. My puppies were neglected! My dog Mia loves going to Camp Bow Wow. Every morning she waits by the door to leave. The staff is incredibly always friendly and welcoming. Dropping Mia off in the morning is a breeze. The staff are quick to taking her back. The best part is picking her up exhausted from a full day of playing. It's been a great experience socialize her with other dogs. The monthly rates are the best compared to other's. I recommend Camp bow wow to other people all the time when we are out at dog park's or out dinning. My pup has the absolute best time in day camp at CBW! He gets to see all his pupper friends and take a nap after lunch. When I pick him up after work, he is exhausted and ready to sleep until the next evening, which is convenient for me (a tired pup is a good pup). They offer various packages and services; and they even send out text promotions if you sign up to receive them. My doggo has also boarded with them a couple times, and they've all been great experiences. Nadia loves her "dog" days at Bow Wow. In fact, just mention "Bow Wow" and she starts whining, barking, turning circles, ears straight up, just total excitement in general. She comes home so mentally or physically, or both, exhausted that she hits the couch and sleeps the rest of the day away. The Bow Wow bathing service is beyond compare. Nadia is not a stinky dog by nature, but with her thick double or perhaps triple coat, Nadia can shed insane amounts of hair when she does shed. I wish I knew your secret because when she comes home after a bath, she doesn't shed a single hair for days sometimes and at least for a day every time. Even after brushing her at home with her Safari Slicker brush for 15 minutes, she is shedding hair within minutes. Nadia loves coming to Bow Wow and it is obvious that all of you love dogs and treat them great. read more

Never taking my dog here again. It started off great and worked out because it's close to my work and something for my dog to do while I'm gone. We got all the shots and boosters that we were told to get and they said he was good to go. He had about 10 visits there and each time he seemed to have a great time. I went to drop him off this morning and the employee behind the counter told me that my dog was 10 days overdue on some other booster and they wouldn't be able to take him. I get it it's my responsibility to keep up to date on what he needs but at the same time I can't see your system so I don't know if something else is needed. Instead of trying to up sell me on your packages every time I go in there maybe you could have mentioned that my dog was about to be overdue on something and if it goes beyond that date he can't come in. Don't tell your customers something is needed UNTIL AFTER it's too late. My dog had nowhere to go and I was late for work because of this company. Thanks a lot. read more

Took my dog for grooming and he loved it. He received a bath, facial, nail grinding, and anal gland cleaning for a few bucks more than what I usually pay at petsmart. They were amazing from the moment I dropped him off to when I picked him up. I could tell my dog was happy unlike the other times at other locations where he would want to rush out. Worse mistake of my life. I planned a vacation for Memorial Day weekend. I trusted Camp Bow Wow (Katy) to take care of my fur-babies while I traveled. It was a nightmare. 1st alarm: My dogs were locked in a cage for 2 days (Sunday & Monday); only being allowed to play and have potty breaks from 6:45am - 10:am & 4:pm - 7:pm. I brought my dogs to Camp Bow Wow to keep them from being locked up. 2nd alarm: My dogs, apparently, was not feed the prepared food meals I brought for them because both of my dogs came home with diarrhea. I not only provided dry dog food, I provided fresh meat, medication (for my larger dog), olive oil, and treats. I labeled EVERYTHING with preparation instructions for both dogs. My larger dog showed symptoms of stomach issues (as he would not eat....along with having diarrhea). Also, there was pre-packaged dog food left over. 3rd alarm: The gentleman at the front desk asked me if it was ok for my dogs to get treats before bed. I explained to him that provided a fresh package of treats for my dogs (unopened). While unpacking my dog's belongings, I took the bag of treats out and the package was STILL unopened. NEVER AGAIN! You only get one chance to gain my trust and Camp Bow Wow Blew It!! read more

Camp Bow Wow, Katy, is the bomb! Our story begins about 12 days before Christmas. Sue takes our boy to our favorite local dog park. While there, someone gets bitten and Sue goes to help him with her first aid kit. While she's doing that, a different dog attacks ours and seriously injures his ear (those owners high-tail it out of the park without offering assistance, but that's another story). Sue takes our boy to the vet, they bandage him up and things seem fine. Unfortunately, a few days later, the wound opens up and begins to gush blood. Our patio and the back seat of our car look like a crime scene. To avoid making a long story even longer, we made multiple vet visits (including one to Gulf Coast Emergency Clinic at 1:30 am) and the bleeding was finally under control. Apparently, the other dog severed a micro artery that runs around the circumference of his ear. It is very difficult to control and surgery was a distinct possibility. We had long standing plans to travel for Christmas. We were now 3 days pre-departure and preparing to cancel our plans. Enter the amazing folks at Camp Bow Wow, Katy, led by General Manager Jazmine Morillo. Our boy was wearing a full head bandage and cone of shame. It probably wouldn't be safe to allow him into the big yards with all of the other dogs. Jazmine said, "No problem!". Notwithstanding how busy they were, they agreed to the labor intensive solution of keeping him in his cabin and allowing him out in the yard during mealtimes and other breaks. When his head bandage started to loosen, Jazmine said, "No problem!", went to the store to buy bandages, and re-wrapped him. When our vet said that he wanted to see him before we returned, Jazmine said "No problem!" and took him to the vet for a check-up! We've known the Katy location manager, Laura, for as long as we've been going there. She is a compassionate ball of energy. She always answers the phone and greets guests with genuine enthusiasm. You can tell that she really cares about all of the dogs in their care. This time around, she kept in touch with us regularly during our trip, sending updates and photos. The peace of mind was wonderful. This is so way above and beyond the call of duty, during one of the busiest boarding weeks of the year, that it honestly boggles our minds. Our boy is now healing up well and we were able to make our Christmas trip. And while he was a little sad that he couldn't play with his friends in the big yard, he can't wait to go back! So, if you need to board your dog, or have day care, training or other dog care needs, do not hesitate to use Camp Bow Wow (they have a second facility in Kemah). The entire staff is amazing.
