I have now used wagging tails two times which tells me they must be doing something right. Dropping your dogs off is like living your kids with someone. You just don't trust anyone!! Honestly I inspected a few other places that are closer to me but I heard mixed things from people. I also asked our vets office. They told me that from one of the most popular pet places they get 3-4 dogs come in min a week for bites from other dogs. I understand dogs fight they are animals. The difference is this place does a aggression evaluation. Most dogs will bark while they are on the other side of a leash or cage. Running free they are fine. Before I left my Malinois Kai here I inspected the whole place. It was very clean and they had a great staff. The price was kinda high but they did offer a discount for multiple nights which helped. They also gave him a free bath which was nice I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a great place they can trust. My Malinois is a very high energy dog who has professional training and is very smart. The staff plays with him and that's awesome. My dogs came home with kennel cough. They were coughing when I picked them up (in the lobby) and no one mentioned to me. My dogs vaccinations are up to date and I know they review before boarding. We've boarded with them twice and the person that checked us in was smug. My dogs eat a mixture of frozen vegetables and kibble, so I prepackaged each meal in a separate bag (for their convenience). I was told to bring the bag of vegetables next time... pretty rude. Obviously, this will be the last time we board with them. They did offer to pay for some of the veterinary bill which we declined. Only reason I didn't give them a one star rating. I wasn't able to comment on the owner's response... doesn't explain why one of the chihuahuas lost 1 pound in your care and we were never notified. 1 pound is significant on such a small dog. read more

They ONLY care about your MONEY and not about providing customer service if heaven forbid you have an actual issue. We had to cancel our entire Christmas vacation due to the last minute weather freeze warnings recently . We were concerned about our family's and pets safety . When explaining the reason for cancellation to the owner, she gaslit me diminishing my concerns . She refused to refund my deposit or keep as a credit to re-book after the storm . Her only way of handling this was to refund my deposit and no longer welcome my pets because I didn't agree . These were special circumstances that should have been considered. She went on to brag about how she has been in business for 18 years letting me know this doesn't affect her (we were not first time customers). If the owner doesn't care about her customers then let alone your pets. I am truly disappointed . read more

Our dog Bentley has spent time at a good number of dog day-cares. My wife really searches out for the best for our pets, because they are important to our family. Some think its silly, but we enjoy knowing that they are well kept and having a good time. Waggin' Tails impressed me. They genuinely care about the dogs welfare. The staff is friendly, you get a true sense that they love animals. I know it seems crazy, but there are people that run business that do not like animals. But Waggin' Tails treated my dogs with the same level of kindness and love that we do. We boarded 2 dogs for 2 or 3 nights, on their pickup day the both got groomed (who wants stinky dogs after a weekend away?). Their prices are very fair, their policies are solid without being unnecessarily restrictive and the dogs got the attention we hoped they would. Icing on the cake? They helped load up the pooches and the "luggage" (bed/pillow, food, leashes) into the car. And a week or so later we received a very nice card with photos from their weekend stay. I moved to the Heights about a year ago and started researching boarders in the city immediately. All the daycare-boarding facilities within the area either had a multi month wait list, required a play date to test for temperament before making a reservation, or realistically did not look like they had a lot of room for bigger dogs to play (or all of the above). One of my friends started working here and instantly fell in love. It does take about 30-45 minutes to drive out to Fulshear from the city, but once you see how much space the doggos get to romp and play, the drive becomes 100% worth it. As long as your shots are up to date and you call ahead, they will do everything they can to make sure your doggo is taken care of. I have a 63 pound lab mix who loves everyone he meets, but gets really anxious for the strangest reasons and he loves hanging out here when we can't take him with us on the weekend (even though I'm a crying mess every time I drop him off). The prices are reasonable, and while you can't go back to see exactly where your little dude will be staying, they do show you the empty rooms to set your mind at ease. From Friday to Sunday, I usually pay around $115, which includes a bath and trimming his nails (I didn't schedule a bath once and picked him up right after he had rolled in the pond in the back - it was a wet dog smell ride home). I love the staff, and they call you immediately in the event something happens. Blue got scratched one day during playtime like big dogs tend to do, and they called immediately to let me know what had happened and that he was a-okay. read more

I love this place and so does my dog. The staff is amazing and they genuinely care about your animals. My only dislike was when I recently left my dog for an extended period and had him groomed. The groomer should be brought up on charges. She made my dog look like a darn rat. Though I was told she was a part-time groomer I'm still pissed. The center took the charge off of my card however, after seeing my dog like this I doubt that I will be back anytime soon. Finding a trusted spot to take care of my pups is such a overwhelming task. I love my dogs and it's hard to imagine that anyone can care for them like I do. To make matters more stressful, I have a dog with a repaired ACL and he has a list of restrictions to support his recovery. Waggin Tails has been amazing. They are patient with my litany of questions and kindly agreed to walk Barnum every day since he couldn't go to daycare. The front desk staff are wonderful and the team that plays in the back loves dogs to their core. I'm incredibly grateful for this local business and appreciate the quality of care that they provide. The luxury suite was perfect for my two doods (they weigh 50lbs and 75 lbs) and my bank account appreciates the all-inclusive pricing. Denise and the staff do an outstanding job caring for our "kids". For example, my husband and I had a scheduled business trip to Chicago shortly before hurricane Ike hit the Houston area. We boarded our babies at Waggin Tails. While electricity went out, they already had back up generators queued up to kick in. I was worried sick as I watched the news of the hurricane from my hotel room in Chicago, until Denise sent me a message from her blackberry that the hurricane had passed, and all was well... the doggies were outside playing in the mud and having a ball. My Milli stayed at Waggin Tails for 12 days. She is 10 months German Shepard mix and very social with other dogs, so I was so happy to find this place. I wanted her to be in a place where she could have lots of play time. On her report card, it was noted how much she loved swimming in the pond and her play group. When we returned home to pick her up, she was happy & squeaky clean from her bath which was included because of the length of her stay. I recently received this card in the mail, which I just LOVED! My baby never smiles when I leave him, take that back he does when he goes here. He had a play date to try the ranch out before the real thing, assisted both of us with our anxiety. I do take his food, bed, blankets and we all know yorkies are the patron saints of treats, but they offer to let your baby play with others (of course playing nice) and if the anxiety is too much they can go to a quieter side so chillin is considered. The report cards are a nice touch and after 7 days a bath is comped. Details are everything, I had specifically wanted to know how they handled hurricanes, terrorist threats, etc. and they do not leave your baby alone. The last hurricane I was trying to watch my guy on a web cam with an 8 hour time difference, frantic that I would not see him again, now I have a FEMA plan for my baby. Nice touch to receive a card after his stay with his photo on it, thought I was the last one on the planet that wrote thank you notes, nice to get one from them. Staff very warm and loving, they were not upset that I asked for a tour or acted that I was in their way and that they did not have time for me. Very organized, clean and legal documents and waivers and the 2 bordatella shot requirement per year are sterling in my book. Oh book your Christmas time now, they book a year in advance. read more

I love the outdoor play area. I would give that a 5. My dogs love to run and swim and roll in everything. There is plenty of room, super friendly staff that seem to enjoy the job, and reasonable prices. The indoor area brings the score way down. I have 2 big dogs and they would be uncomfortable if they were alone in a kennel, let alone together. They are create trained and I thought the kennels were too small. My dog has absolutely loved his play days and sleepovers at Waggin' Tails, although we do have occasional problems. He is usually a ball of energy and loves to get his rowdy on. Every day that we pick him up, he's so tired he falls asleep on the way home and is sleepy for days after. The people are friendly and they handle so many dogs during the day that I understand a couple mistakes. However, when you pay for a service, I think it's fair to assume it will actually be done. Once we have paid for a bath at the end of a play date and he was only rinsed off so he was smelly and dirty. When we picked him up this weekend after boarding we were expecting his nails to be dremeled, they were only cut which makes them even sharper than they started off as. We also had to call after a couple months of regular play days and have them change the group that he was in. He had been put in the largest group, which was okay until he started coming home with scratches so big they caused scars. Not necessarily a problem with the company, but I feel like maybe someone working there should have noticed before it escalated that much. Besides these minor hiccups we love sending him here and will continue to take him. He gets so much out of it and so do we! An awesome boarding place and if you ever need some socialization for your pup, try out the free trial play day. UPDATE: He went to day camp this week and they dremeled his nails and gave him a bath free of charge. We loved Waggin' Tails anyways but I had to make a note of this because everyone can respect a company that rights their wrongs. read more

Waggin' Tails is a top-notch place for all pets. It is clean and the staff is always extremely professional and nice to customers. The prices are not bad at all! If you check in, you can even get a discount ($10 off!) My corgidor has come here for boarding and bathing. For boarding, we kept her here for around five days and she was sad when she had to leave! She made a lot of friends, ran around most of the day, swam in the pool, and played outside a lot! They do a wonderful job of asking about medications and always accommodate to our dog's needs. She loved her stay here. We also checked her in here for bathing. They bathed her and cut her nails. The bath really washed her up and cleaned her well. She smelled much better after it. The only complaint I have is that she was panting a lot and very thirsty after the bath. I assume that she may have been antsy during the bath and they didn't give her water. This disappoints me, but I understand that they were not obligated to give her water. I definitely wish they would though! I do not know the price of boarding her for five days, but the bath was $31 in total but I got a discount because I checked in and only paid $21! Our dogs stayed for the first time this past weekend based on the recommendation of a friend. Upon check in, we (parents, children, dogs) were greeted promptly. The handler who came to take our dogs genuinely loved on them and spoke with us directly about them. Our dogs happily walked away with her. They will not nickel and dime you for play/pet time etc., which as a pet owner, we consider essential as responsible owners. (I have always wondered how a pet ranch/kennel considers themselves exemplary but also charge you for play/pet time. We have been to one of those places...never to return.) He had lost at least 20 lbs. not one person would admit that he was skin and bones. Over $7,000. in vet bills later, he was saved from the brink of death. Two years later, he passed away form complications due to the surgeries he had to have. This kennel was very negligent in hes care, but would only tell us that he had received "QUALITY!" care. What can I say!!!! Only the best!!!!! My dogs get spoiled worse there than they do at home!!!! We went on vacation a few years ago for two weeks and I think I called almost every day. I really had never left the dogs that long before and I really did not know much about Waggin Tails. Well let me say, when I leave them now, I never worry as I know they are having fun and getting spoiled. I was kind of hoping that they would lose a couple of pounds; well, I think they got carried around a lot. I, also, take them to doggie day care once or twice a week for extra socialization. I can't think of enough adjectives to describe how great this place is! First of all the staff is amazing. They are all so friendly and helpful and there is no doubt that each and every one of them truly care about the animals. Sometimes I'm not sure the dog doesn't like them more than us! Our dog loves nothing more in the world than "daycamp days" and she whines in the car as soon as we turn on the road, she's dying to get out. Their daycamp packages are very reasonable with the bath and they will trim nails too even if you don't want the full grooming. We have boarded here too and the care is amazing, as well as the ability to pick up on Sundays--that's my favorite part. We boarded our dog here for a week and they took the best care of him. The whole staff treated him like he was their own! They have a $5 vet insurance that if your dog gets sick while there they take them to the vet. Our dog developed a slight cough and they took him to our vet and footed the bill no questions asked! I've researched area pet boarding places, and I was very impressed with this one. The first thing that attracted me was the size. It is located out in the country (or so you can say) and they have two pools the dogs can jump in and play. It's not too far from the city but away so there's plenty of fields for them to run. They have group play times (your dog will be tested with similar breeds), and they are taken out 2 to 3 times a day and each time it's at least one hour ! Other places do not take them out but once a day to use the restroom and if you want just a measly 15 minute of play time it's EXTRA money you pay. Seriously? This place is incredible. They don't charge anything extra for having the dogs out. They give extra attention, love, care without the extra silly cost. All you pay is the boarding fee. I can tell you, they took excellent care of my dog. This is the first time I have boarded her and she had no idea if I was coming back or if I was leaving her (lol) so the first two days she did not eat! The staff hand fed her and she ate! Who does that nowadays? This is old fashion love and care and I was tickled pink! They also gave me a report of how she did when I picked her up. Later, I got another report in the mail noting who she played with (down to the breed and name of the dogs)! Wow! They truly pay attention to my dog and has the report to show it. Their health assurance plan is great! 5 dollars per stay not per day! So if you board 10 days, it's only 5 dollars and it covers up to 500 max dollars in vet fees if your dog were to get sick from BOARDING there. You can read all the details on their web and they will explain when you drop off your dog as well as send a letter home after your stay to inform you of the timeframe you need to claim if your dogs get sick. My dog actually came home sneezing and had a loud hoarse "reverse" sneeze as I later found out. She never sneezed or had this noise before so I was a bit concerned thinking she picked up the kennel cough .. but it was only allergies! I did take her to the vet to check it out and they said her chest was fine and she had no temp. I did ask Waggin tails about her symptoms on if they noticed it and they said not at the time she was there but told me to have it checked out if I was concerned and heard a cough. I didn't want my timeframe to go out to claim so I took her in. A few days later, Tony, the Kennel manager called and asked show she was doing! Double Wow. Nowadays no one cares to call you back. My dog came home happy, tired, and wanting to come back! I love this place and this will be the only place I take my dog. You can take a tour on Saturdays, so do it. You'll love it. read more
