We've been using Top Dog for several yrs. We had an old Shih Tzu and they took such good care of him noting on his paperwork all hole moles and skin issues. They were so patient only working a few minutes at a time. After he passed we got another Shih Tzu and they work on him as well. Now we have a Sheep-a-doodle and they do a great job on her. Starting taking my shih tzu and lhasa apso here for grooming when we moved out here last May. They were very friendly on the phone and had good options for appointments. They can usually get them in within a few days when I call. Very quick and excellent customer service when dropping off and picking up. They will tell me how my dogs did and they are always happy to see me and seem very happy to be there. You can pay through Zelle which is super easy and convenient. This was our first time at Top Dog and it was great! My boy Ollie has skin issues and had a rough quarantine. We arrived right at 8 AM and a sweet lady came and took her time easing my guys visible fear. I filled out a little paper work. They man at the front desk was very nice but didn't really ask me about type of cut or prices. Ad couple of hours later the groomer called and asked about his cut. She was so kind and friendly. I had an appointment scheduled for last week but my dog couldn't make the appointment and Maria was so kind in rescheduling, which was extremely appreciated considering other places are NOT as nice about it! Anyways, moving on to my actual experiences, from the moment I entered the shop I felt extremely welcomed. This was the first time I've ever been to Top Dog Grooming but Maria already knew my dog's name before I even said anything and knew exactly what services she required. In addition, my dog is EXTREMELY shy but Maria and one of the other groomers (can't remember his name :/) were so sweet towards my dog that she wasn't chasing after me once I left the building like she tends to do! After I finished checking in, I ran into Melony, my dog's groomer, and to put it simply she was AMAZING! She took the time to talk to me about my dog and about the different products they had that could benefit my dog (unlike most places that just say "oh it's 10 dollars extra because it's great for you pet", she took the time to explain to me what each ingredient would do for my dog)! My dogs coat looks so shiny and feels like silk and the haircut she got is fantastic! Also forgot to mention, that the grooming service came with a cute little bow for my pupper as well! I have nothing but nice things to say about this place: My dog can get very anxious, and they handled him with care during his grooming.

I have been taking my dog here for years and today was the first time that issues came up. We had an appointment at noon and she was dropped off on time. After 4pm, I tried to call to check how much longer and the call went straight to voicemail. I went to the shop because I was worried something might be wrong and they couldn't get in touch with us. When I walked in, the woman who was receptionist was also grooming dogs so things seemed chaotic. When I expressed my concern that calls are not coming through, she told me the owner wasn't there and it was going straight to her personal phone. It made me uncomfortable that I couldn't talk to anyone about what was happening with my dog. The groomers did a fine job but the lack of communication will keep me from going back. read more

I'm new to the area and went here based on google reviews. I brought my lab puppy and shih tzu for a grooming appointment at 10am, and at 2pm they still weren't ready. I arrived anyways as it had been 4 hours and it was concerning what my dogs were doing , since they certainly weren't being groomed! My lab puppy finished his service, was bathed and had nails cut which was fine- although it was $45. My smaller dog had fesces all over his back legs and rear, clearly he wasn't being monitored or taken out for a bathroom break. Truly makes me wonder how clean the facility is. The gentlemen upon arrival apologized for not finishing the services and said they do a staggered drop off....to which I replied then what's the purpose of an appointment ? It doesn't seem responsible to have dozens of dogs dropped off and wandering around for hours on end without proper supervision. If I knew this was the process I would've gladly dropped them off at a later time so as soon as they arrived they could be serviced. I will NOT be returning and I will be sure to let my friends know about my experience. I def had higher expectations. After further examining my bigger dog his nails are all jagged and splitting. I included a photo to further validate how poorly taken care of my boys were. Update: The owner Maria O. (Her username on yelp) laughed at my review as you can clearly see. I am thoroughly disgusted as the owners have made no effort to respond or rectify the situation. This small action speaks volumes for their level of professionalism and customer service. My groomer at Top Dog Grooming is Nicole and she's an excellent groomer. I have two Yorkies, Milo and Winston, that have been groomed by her at least for 3 to 6 years now. The problem with this place is the administration. They have people working there that do not write the appointments, they forget and then when you get there, they cannot groom your dogs. I have had the same problem three times. I thought it was me, but it is not. This last time, today, I was on my way when I realized: "they didn't call me yesterday to confirm the appointment" Is this happening again? Well yes!!!! My dog Milo was nowhere in their appointment book. I schedule my appointment two weeks ahead because Nicole is always booked. The person who I spoke to said April 30th at 10:00 am and I asked why that late and she said they didn't want a bunch of people bring dogs at the same time. Well, she didn't write it down and boom, no appointment. The owner Maria was of no help and all she said was that Nicole cut her finger and couldn't do too many dogs, so I guess they either cancel me or somebody made a mistake. By the way, the lady I spoke with was Elba. I cannot do this anymore because it's a waste of gas, time and it makes me angry. If they don't care about their customers, then there's nothing I can do about that and definitely, will not do business with this people, sorry Nicole!. read more

I found this place on google and after looking at the amazing reviews. I wanted to give it a try for my little dog. The previous groomer he had gave him an uneven and poor haircut. We let his hair grow out to have a new groomer fix it. After dropping my dog off this morning, I spoke to a man and told him I wanted a short and even hair cut for my dog. Well, it happened again but at this place. It is really upsetting that I paid $67.00 for a poor hair cut. I called the lady in front and told her what happened and she said well I will speak to the groomer and said nothing else. Upset about the poor customer service, I told her that I would instead fix it on my own. I don't recommend this place. They even asked me for a tip which I graciously did before they showed me my dog but they didn't bring him out until the lady saw that I finished paying including the tip. As a matter of curtsey, I tipped her because I wouldn't ask her to bring my dog to determine whether I would tip or not. I highly recommend that you all look elsewhere for groomer.
