She was in kind and capable hands. Daisy will be back for her next beauty haircut to reveal her beautiful face. I recommend top dog grooming for any pup. read more

We've been using Top Dog for several yrs. We had an old Shih Tzu and they took such good care of him noting on his paperwork all hole moles and skin issues. They were so patient only working a few minutes at a time. After he passed we got another Shih Tzu and they work on him as well. Now we have a Sheep-a-doodle and they do a great job on her. They are very patient and work with us to get the right cut. I know we'll be back, once a month. read more

This place use to be good but is now under new management that is horrible. We have came here many times and have never had such a horrible experience. One of our dogs is a 12 year old senior with a hip injury and a partially torn ACL she has been her many time and it is written in her file about her injury, and that she is not to be lifted or held down because of her injuries. They muzzled her, forced her down and irritated her injury, causing her harm and making us have to do check on her hip injury. They scared my poor dog and caused her to have major anxiety she is still fearful and will take time to calm down .I will never go here again. This is horrendous, neglect, and abuse of animals and I will never recommend this place again. read more

Starting taking my shih tzu and lhasa apso here for grooming when we moved out here last May. They were very friendly on the phone and had good options for appointments. They can usually get them in within a few days when I call. Very quick and excellent customer service when dropping off and picking up. They will tell me how my dogs did and they are always happy to see me and seem very happy to be there. You can pay through Zelle which is super easy and convenient. Highly recommend for a good groomer who gets it done quickly but also with quality. read more

This was our first time at Top Dog and it was great! My boy Ollie has skin issues and had a rough quarantine. We arrived right at 8 AM and a sweet lady came and took her time easing my guys visible fear. I filled out a little paper work. They man at the front desk was very nice but didn't really ask me about type of cut or prices. Ad couple of hours later the groomer called and asked about his cut. She was so kind and friendly. By 11:30 he was ready!! Melanie brought out Ollie and was so sweet with him. The man at the counter just ran my card without telling me price which was a little odd but alright. So happy with the way my boy turned out and how the ladies in the back seemed to be really sweet with him. Ills be back for surer read more

If you're in the Katy area and looking for the best groomer in town, seriously look no further! I had an appointment scheduled for last week but my dog couldn't make the appointment and Maria was so kind in rescheduling, which was extremely appreciated considering other places are NOT as nice about it! Anyways, moving on to my actual experiences, from the moment I entered the shop I felt extremely welcomed. This was the first time I've ever been to Top Dog Grooming but Maria already knew my dog's name before I even said anything and knew exactly what services she required. In addition, my dog is EXTREMELY shy but Maria and one of the other groomers (can't remember his name :/) were so sweet towards my dog that she wasn't chasing after me once I left the building like she tends to do! After I finished checking in, I ran into Melony, my dog's groomer, and to put it simply she was AMAZING! She took the time to talk to me about my dog and about the different products they had that could benefit my dog (unlike most places that just say "oh it's 10 dollars extra because it's great for you pet", she took the time to explain to me what each ingredient would do for my dog)! My dogs coat looks so shiny and feels like silk and the haircut she got is fantastic! Also forgot to mention, that the grooming service came with a cute little bow for my pupper as well! OVERALL: Grooming: 11/10 Hospitality: 11:10 Customer Satisfaction: 11/10 Bang for your buck: 11/10 I definitely recommend this place over any other place in Katy. Relatively cheap compared to other groomers with better service! read more

I have been taking my dog here for years and today was the first time that issues came up. We had an appointment at noon and she was dropped off on time. After 4pm, I tried to call to check how much longer and the call went straight to voicemail. I went to the shop because I was worried something might be wrong and they couldn't get in touch with us. When I walked in, the woman who was receptionist was also grooming dogs so things seemed chaotic. When I expressed my concern that calls are not coming through, she told me the owner wasn't there and it was going straight to her personal phone. It made me uncomfortable that I couldn't talk to anyone about what was happening with my dog. The groomers did a fine job but the lack of communication will keep me from going back. read more

I have nothing but nice things to say about this place: My dog can get very anxious, and they handled him with care during his grooming.

Melony did an Amazing job with our Golden Doodle Brodie. She gave him his first puppy cut and made him look like a real teddy bear. She was a great communicator and explained the whole process to me. As a new dog mom, she made me feel comfortable and exceeded my expectations 100%. This is the only salon I'll go to moving forward. The facility was clean and everybody was friendly. Highly recommend especially those with Goldendoodles read more

I'm new to the area and went here based on google reviews. I brought my lab puppy and shih tzu for a grooming appointment at 10am, and at 2pm they still weren't ready. I arrived anyways as it had been 4 hours and it was concerning what my dogs were doing , since they certainly weren't being groomed! My lab puppy finished his service, was bathed and had nails cut which was fine- although it was $45. My smaller dog had fesces all over his back legs and rear, clearly he wasn't being monitored or taken out for a bathroom break. Truly makes me wonder how clean the facility is. The gentlemen upon arrival apologized for not finishing the services and said they do a staggered drop off....to which I replied then what's the purpose of an appointment ? It doesn't seem responsible to have dozens of dogs dropped off and wandering around for hours on end without proper supervision. If I knew this was the process I would've gladly dropped them off at a later time so as soon as they arrived they could be serviced. I will NOT be returning and I will be sure to let my friends know about my experience. I def had higher expectations. After further examining my bigger dog his nails are all jagged and splitting. I included a photo to further validate how poorly taken care of my boys were. Update: The owner Maria O. (Her username on yelp) laughed at my review as you can clearly see. I am thoroughly disgusted as the owners have made no effort to respond or rectify the situation. This small action speaks volumes for their level of professionalism and customer service. I have a large networking in the area and will be sure to spread the word to all my pet parents! Included screenshots of interaction with the owner. Further validating the above. read more

Unfortunately we took our dog to this place 4 times not paying attention to the 1 star reviews and we totally REGRET IT. My husband used to do the appointments 3 weeks in advance for a certain time and, the day before the appointment they called my husband because they wanted to move the appoinment for early in the morning even though we had an appointment scheduled. We also noticed the last two times we dropped our little dog for some reason he didn't wanted to stay. If you love your dog as we do AVOID this place! read more

Chowder has been going here since he was a puppy and he absolutely loves it here. He is always happy and well taken care of here. Sometimes I have to pick him up a little later even when he's already ready and they let him stay a little longer. They are very considerate and thorough as long as you tell them exactly what you want. They also let your pets use the restroom a lot so you dont have to worry about that! Anyone that owns a Corgi or any other breed I 100% recommend this place. They can do heart shape butts, trim the hair to your desired length, and they always get a cute bow or bandana afterwards! read more

My dogs name is Sandy I take her here to get groomed. They are always very polite and do a great job on servicing her. She's not the most friendly when it comes to other people but somehow nothing seems to go wrong, so I think she's gotten used to the people there The services as far as cost depend on the size of your dog. Sandy is a Maltese Shih Tzu mix I pay around 60 to get her fully groomed haircut short nails cut bath powder perfume all in all a great place to take your dog. It is located next to godfathers pizza. The sign is kind of small unless you're close to It. read more

If I could give them ten stars I would. I am new to the Katy/Houston area from CA and was nervous about trying a new groomer. I found them through yelp and I am more than satisfied. All of the staff are very welcoming and super friendly. They immediately started on my lil pup right at his appointment. I was very specific on the cut I wanted and Nicole nailed it! She is very attentive & truly knows how to style and cut. I couldn't be more pleased. Reasonably priced. This will definitely be our permanent dog grooming salon from now own. read more

My wife and I have tried several dog groomer's and it's always a flop. They charge way over $75.00 per fur baby but I would never receive the full service I requested and paid. Top Dog Grooming is Awesome. My babies were greeted properly, groomed beyond my expectations, walked afterwards and was happy when I picked them up. I could tell they were loved and cared for the entire time. Not only would I recommend them but I will definitely keep them as my babies #1 spot. read more

Love this groomer! My pups are usually very picky about groomers. The owner and staff treat our fur babies like their own. They actually listen to what type of cut you want. My pups walk right in and we don't have to coax them. That is a huge plus for us read more

My groomer at Top Dog Grooming is Nicole and she's an excellent groomer. I have two Yorkies, Milo and Winston, that have been groomed by her at least for 3 to 6 years now. The problem with this place is the administration. They have people working there that do not write the appointments, they forget and then when you get there, they cannot groom your dogs. I have had the same problem three times. I thought it was me, but it is not. This last time, today, I was on my way when I realized: "they didn't call me yesterday to confirm the appointment" Is this happening again? Well yes!!!! My dog Milo was nowhere in their appointment book. I schedule my appointment two weeks ahead because Nicole is always booked. The person who I spoke to said April 30th at 10:00 am and I asked why that late and she said they didn't want a bunch of people bring dogs at the same time. Well, she didn't write it down and boom, no appointment. The owner Maria was of no help and all she said was that Nicole cut her finger and couldn't do too many dogs, so I guess they either cancel me or somebody made a mistake. By the way, the lady I spoke with was Elba. I cannot do this anymore because it's a waste of gas, time and it makes me angry. If they don't care about their customers, then there's nothing I can do about that and definitely, will not do business with this people, sorry Nicole!. read more

Sam and Nicole are the only groomers I trust with my baby Leah. They are so kind and patient, not to mention very skilled groomers! My dog always leaves clean and beautiful, but even more important, she leaves happy! Dutchess is her favorite doggie friend who also is a regular. I know my pup is in good hands when I leave her for grooming. You really can't put a price tag on peace of mind. read more

BEWARE! The owner is so disorganized and unprofessional! They literally kept our sweet dog there for 10 hours even though we were literally the first drop off! I just picked up my dog today i was quoted $60 for a standard grooming. For some reason when i picked him up the price went up another $26. When i asked the person who was checking me out why it went up so much from what i was quoted, he replied with "i dont know". I took my dog here because i was told their prices were the most reasonable in town. And they didn't even do a decent job, did not listen to my instruction. I will not be returning. read more
