Beware of the dog food; this Petco is having a problem with pantry moths!!!!! I bought a bag of Wellness dog food about a month ago and when I opened it, I discovered that it was infested with moths and larvae....gross!!! I returned the bag to an apologetic staff; however, when I returned this week to purchase another bag of food, I discovered that the bag I brought to the register was completely COVERED in bugs. The cashier's response, "go on back and choose a different bag of food". This says to me that the staff ignorantly assumed that the bag I returned and the bag I was about to purchase were flukes. They did nothing to make sure there wasn't an infestation at hand. Pantry moths are not brand loyal, so I seriously doubt Wellness is the only brand being affected. I will be getting my food from Petsmart from now on. read more

The staff today was incredibly friendly and helped me find the perfect "water fountain" for my cats. I was helped by 2 different guys that were both awesome and went out of their way to help me- wish I would've gotten their names. They also price matched the sale price online for my specific item, was regularly 79.99 and I got it for 34.99! I'd like to file a complaint to one of the employees named Brandy. I took my dog for a grooming because he needed it but instead, she patronized me and mocked me while I was there. She kept saying unnecessary threats saying that if my dog decided to snarl or just basically make her feel "uncomfortable" she would not tolerate it. And as I was speaking to your manager, she was behind him and was mocking me obviously thinking I wouldn't see it. I do not tolerate with this, if my dog needs a grooming, no employee should say a word against it unless there are technical difficulties. I'm dissapointed and will give you 1 star. Don't expect me to come back anytime soon. read more

I brought my dog over to get a simple bath at the dog grooming area. The package includes claw trimming, ear cleaning, washing, and drying. I was offered to have my dog's teeth brushed as well, but it would've raised the price from $27 to $40, which I found a bit expensive. The staff was very friendly and kind and my dog seemed very comfortable there as well. It took a little less than an hour for her to be ready and they called me when she was good to be picked up. Upon arriving, my dog was very happy and they informed me she was easy to handle and a pleasure to deal with. The staff even mentioned that she was playful when cleaning her ears. On my way home, I checked my dogs ears and I'm assuming she was too playful to even get them cleaned. I am disappointed that I paid for a service and didn't get everything I paid for. However, my dog's coat is extremely soft and shiny, which is what I went there for in the first place. read more

Customer Service at this store is not their highest priority. I'm not sure whats is though. They had one girl checking with a line. She was on the phone with a customer and someone in the back. Instead of calling another sales associate she just kind of stood there not facing or acknowledging the customers. Very poor customer service this is probably the last time I will go to this store. I can spend my money on my furry kids elsewhere and be treated with courtesy and respect. I wasn't the only miffed customer in that line. I hope corporate sends the entire team management on down to customer service classes. This could be a great store it is in a good location with middle to upper middle class clientele. But really that is beside the point ANY customer walking through their door should be treated as a valued customer since that is where their paychecks derived. read more

Yesterday was my first time in this Petco, and it won't be my last. The employees here are terrific! Katie went out of her to help me and my fiance out, and the cashier was a doll. Everyone fussed over my Fur Babies, and they're selection of Fur Baby products was amazing, and both my Fur Babies got spoiled. Our dog had a bath here. Short noticed of the appointment got him in and out. He came home smelling good. Decent price for nails trim and bath. I think our dog had better bath elsewhere though. We have been here couple of times but still like other grooming more. The positive here is they are always available and he gets to go in and out as promised. read more

This review was is for the grooming section. The woman who trimmed my dogs nails was outstanding. I have two Rottweilers that are anything less than cooperative. She was able to calm them down as best she could and clip their nails. Thank you so much for being patient with my doggies!! read more

They were Having a grand opening...this place has been here for years...so i did not understand that.but the staff is very friendly. They had a pit bull adoption agency outside with some pit bulls that were too cute.They let you bring your dogs in. We took our pit bull in to pick out a new toy,one of the staff came up and gave him a treat. read more

My boyfriend I were in Petco the other day so I could buy rabbit food. We always have to look at all the animals. I then came across a baby betta fish, I had to have it! I bought the fish and a tank and a bunch of other stuff for it. The tank came up the wrong price so my boyfriend asked why so the male cashier checked. Apparently the tank was in the wrong spot but he still gave it to us for the price we saw! How nice! We went back a day or two later to get a bigger tank and to add some new fish friends to our tank. We came across LAURA. She was the best! So friendly and so helpful! We dealt with a lady earlier who wasn't as friendly (she has short brown hair) but Laura saved the day! We are going to call and only go back on days Laura is there. So helpful. She honestly cares so much about the animals! read more

Grooming is awesome!! I took my Yorkie to get a bath, cut, and nail trim. The girl who took care of Coco was so sweet and gentle with her. She really took a lot of care with my baby and when I returned for Coco, Coco was sitting on her lap waiting to get picked up. It's those little things that really make a place over the top. This was my first time getting my puppy groomed. The girl seemed very nice and educated. I liked how he looked and how he smelled and it seems like they took care of him. My only problem was the timing. When making my appointment I was told it would take about an hour and 20 minutes and he was in there for a little over 3 hours. If I make an appointment and I am not just a walk in I would except my dog to be seen at that time or at least close to it. She finished the dog she was working on and then did another dog before she saw my puppy. It made me sad he had to sit there and wait and I would have brought him later if they would have called and said they were behind. read more

They were very rude. Would not let me buy guppies on the same day I was buying a tank because "it is not set up yet". Then they told me that two goldfish was two much for a ten gallon tank. And refused to sell me the guppies until I set up the tank. I do not recommend this place for anyone pet smart is way better. read more

If i could do a zero star review I would. I made an appt for my dog for a groom and wash. Showed up for the appt, on time, and they wanted me to leave him there for 5 hours. Five hours for a cut and wash?! When I asked why so long they said there were other dogs ahead of us. What's the point in making an appt if I'm still going to be waiting all day??? Ive been going to this store for years; i could choose to go to several pet stores , but I like this one because every time I am there, every employee is so nice. I've never had a bad experience, they are more than just average polite, they are genuinely nice and cheerful. Lots of familiar faces --meaning not a lot of employee turnover. Also, the grooming staff are always professional and positive. And no, I don't work there, or have stock in the company, ha ha. This used to be my favorite and closest petco store for years but recently I've gone in and my purchases of food, treats & rawhides have been filled with black beetles both DEAD and ALIVE.. I took it back thinking the brand may have been at fault and petco assured me this can sometimes happen with brands and not to worry so I didn't & was refunded.... now a few weeks later I go back and see the store floor & shelves are crawling with beetles and crawling into and out of "sealed" packaging... it made my skins crawl to see so MANY instead of just a couple in a bag and to see them EVERYWHERE didn't help, I walked out I don't want to bring an infestation to my home or animals dishes... don't go down the bone & rawhide aisle unless you can handle it read more

First of all the Customer service is pleasant, Saxon is a great dog trainer. The dog training packages are great. This isn't about the people. This is about the price. Everything is marked up at least 3 times more than anywhere else. Do they not know they have competition? I often purchase the same dog food at Big Lots. I had the unfortunate experience of having to purchase dog diapers and it was $20 for a pack of 12. That's 3 days worth for a female dog and women don't even pay this much for their supplies! What really upset me was that I already knew Walmart sold them in large packs for $8 but not HENDERSON Walmart, so I was in a bind and had to pay it. Why are they allowed such a huge mark up? Since that epic purchase only lasted 3 days I Googled how to make my own, got a pack of Swimmers diapers for $2 on sale at Walmart, cut a hole in for the tail, and they are actually BETTER. 24 PULL ups for $2 or 12 Petco dog diapers for $20? You do the math. I will utilize their training because it's great, but I will continue to shop at Walmart, Big Lots and Google for all of my pet needs. read more

We purchased a harness on Thursday of last week. A sales representative recommended the Halti harness for our black lab that pulls. The store was out of the Halti harness at the time and the representaive advised us to purchase an off brand harness to try out and advised if we didn't like the brand, we could come back on Monday when the store would have fresh stock to exchange it for a Halti harness. We ended up disliking the off brand harness and, as instructed, came back on Monday to exchange it. I sent my boyfriend inside to exchange it and he was advised by a representative by the name of Jacob that the store was extremely understaffed and was advised the harness could not be retrieved from the back of the store. My boyfriend retirned to the car and I called the store to express to Jacob that we drove across town to come exchange it as we were told we could. I was put on hold for 10 seconds to have Jacob return to say the store did not have any Halti harnesses in Stock. Waste of time. Gas. And money. Use petsmart instead. read more
