If I could give more then 5 stars I would.. I have 2 small dogs that I religiously will only take to this groomer and I just recently took my foster senior Cocker spaniel that was in really bad shape. She needed major TLC from a matted coat to an infection in her ears it was so sad. The groomers at dog Elegante saw how delicate the situation was and immediately jumped right in they gave her 3 baths and cut her hair and nails. A great grooming experience can change a dogs entire demeanor and personality and that's exactly what happened to her. She knows she looks pretty now! We all love to feel pretty and be pampered, our furry friends are no different. I happened to find this local business and went in to inquire if they provide nail clipping service for a large dog. They were able to provide me with an appointment with no notice and a price on the fly for my dogs nails. This is a very small family business that are very professional and pleasant. It is a great service to support their local business too. This dog grooming business is very welcoming and clean. When I did visit they were busy with some other dogs at the time. I was originally just inquiring about the prices for their nail services but expected them to have no appointments. I informed the staff that I can return later in the day for my dogs nail clipping appointment. That worked time wise went back later to get services done in Sugarbaby. The nail clipping that was done for my dog went smooth for her. She was treated very friendly by the staff. They provided a very pleasant experience for my dog since she does not like anyone messing with her feet. The cost of the nail clipping service was only $10. What a great deal too? Plus fantastic service? This is a great recipe for a new place that I can take her to get her nails done. read more

Just spoke to my 76yo mom who took her dog here to be groomed. The male owner yelled at her and berated her for not bringing her dog in sooner. My mom is a caretaker for my sick dad and aunt with dementia. She has a lot on her plate but still manages to keep up on the care of her dog. She takes her to get groomed once her hair gets too long. What kind of business owner or man yells at and berates and elderly woman? My mom left in tears. Do not utilize this business, the owners behavior is disgusting. read more

This was my first time here, I only came across because it's near my house and my normal grooming place was booked. I called the dog elegantes and no one answered. I then got a text right after to book with them. I dropped off my dog and please mind you my dog (shih tzu)is not easy and had been traumatized in the past from groomers so she hates them! She is distressed the whole time. When the owner tries to grab her she snaps and tries to bite him. He then tells me oh she bites if she bites it might be more money and I might just have to call you to pick her up because I have a long day ahead of me so I can't be bitten. I understand that she bites but overall if you're gentle with her she's such a loving dog. She's never bit any of my family members it's only when she goes to the groomers. I then get text messages saying they were going to charge me $100 because it's going to take two people and because she's "vicious".My dog is only about 7 pounds for me $100 is a lot of money maybe not for some but for me yes. I then proceeded to tell them I cannot pay the $100 and would just like to pick her up. They then said it's too late they already started working on her and then said ok 80. I normally only pay 55 with tip for where I go so 80 was a lot for me as well. I asked what they have already done so and how much was that so I could just pay that and be done with them. They then proceeded to say she's very vicious and that I would need to pay. I just thought it was very unprofessional and after reading the negative reviews sounds exactly like my experience. After all the back and forth I arrived and they were able to get her done and did a whole shave but just because of the way they acted I will not be back and if you don't care about customer service or price or even hurting your dog like I seen in other reviews then this is your place! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My boyfriend and I have both taken our dogs in and though he had a horrible experience, I figured to give them a second chance. Terrible idea. When my boyfriend had taken his dogs in, in addition to the atrocious lack of decent customer service, both of his small yet very tough dogs came home practically traumatized. Skittish, anxious, and scared. It'd be safe to assume they'd endured far less than acceptable treatment. That on top of the long-haired pup's haircut being choppy yet heavy in all the wrong areas and lopsided. Again - I figured to offer my business as a second chance if-you-will. My experience is one that has made me lose trust in absolutely anyone handling my dog without me being there. The customer service was, again, terrible. I have a short haired dog that does not need scissors taken to him in any form. So I assumed there was no way for me to be displeased with my experience. I assumed wrong. I brought him home to find a half inch long, about a cm deep, cut on his front left paw pad. It was not there prior to me dropping him off and there was no possible way for him to have cut his paw in the trip from the groomers to home. Beyond angered, I didn't bother speaking to them about it. I've never left a review on any business, but I couldn't get over the incident as I watched my poor baby spend the next week babying his consequently bandaged paw, not wanting to go on our long nature walks as we do everyday - sometimes multiple times in a day, as he was overall lethargic and sad. That cannot be forgiven. I hope anybody that spends money at this place does their research before trusting them with their four-legged family members. read more

Honestly I used to take my dogs here just because they are very close to my house. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back here anymore. Today was the last straw. I specifically told him to call me first to tell me how much he will charge to groom my dogs. Him and his wife were busy grooming other dogs when I dropped off my 2 dogs. He wasn't able to give me quotes right then and there. Lesson learned. He sent me text message just as they were getting done grooming my dogs already. He then quoted me way more than the usual charge! I asked him why he didn't inform me first before working on my dogs. Of course now he's denying that I asked him to call me first. Also, he wants you to pay him with cash only. My advise is, if you insist on going to this business, discuss about how much he will charge you before he starts working on your dog. Otherwise, he can over charge you. And he will. I will never bring my dogs here anymore. There are far more available and trustworthy groomers around. read more

I used Dog Elegance grooming service a week ago, because one of my friends recommended this place. Will never use their service again. When I brought my dog Maya to Dog Elegance, their entrance door was opened and door stopper was used to keep it open. There were dog gates inside, so I let groomer do his job. I should leave and use other service... I ordered haircut, but when I picked up Maya, she was shaved! Owner explained that as "A hot time comes, so it is better for a dog". Usually, when I pick up my dog after grooming, she is excited and happy to see me. She was unusual nervous this time. The entrance door was in the same position, widely opened and ever dog's gates inside was a half way opened and the gates had no lock at all! There is a real possibility that your dog can escape. When I brought Maya at home, I found that groomer cut her skin! There were two cuts, one about 2" (on the hip) and other about 1/5''(belly area). Both wide enough, about 1/5''. The fact, that she was hurt during grooming was hidden from me by owner. I guess, the owner doesn't care about our pet's safety, dishonest and has not enough experience. read more

Awful! In my opinion and based on my experience in 3 different states, the worst grooming experience ever. First, he examined my dog and quoted a price. By the way, the price originally quoted was the same that I've paid other groomers in Vegas. Just tried to save a drive and some time. Bad mistake! He raised the price midway through the process.I told him to stop grooming because I wanted to pick her up. I picked up my dog. She was frantic to escape the kennel to leave. He charged me $70. She looked terrible and was stressed out. He also yelled at me. He said that my dog was bad for his equipment! The dog is the priority, not his equipment. After three years, we have returned because no one does as good of a job as Dog Elegance. They are professional, courteous, and very accommodating. They do a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. Took my dog Noah in for his hair cut. (Not his first time at this place). I dropped him off at 930AM and received a call at 10:11AM saying Noah had a cut that they were unsure how he got. I got there right away. I took a look at it & it forsure looked to me as if he just got it while getting groomed. I took him to my vet. Once I got to my vet, He said it looked like the cut had just happened & it was too fresh. The owners tried saying I took my dog in that way. Mind you, if I would've known that was on Noah I wouldn't have taken him in and he would've been at the vet. I was charged $400. When I went back to Dog Elegantes to tell them they are responsible for what had happened to Noah, they denied that they did it. The guy told me he'd pay me half and wasn't letting me speak all while telling me the vet charged me too much money for such a "small" cut. He then told me after I had already left to my vet that he had HIS very own vet that I could've gone too with insurance but he didn't say anything to me UNTIL AFTER I went back to ask him to pay the bill. I finally agreed to getting the $200 because that's better than nothing to be honest. I went back to pick up the money. He gave me $170 because he charged me half of the hair cut. They have very very poor costumer service. I don't wish bad on any local businesses but I hope for those that do take their dogs to this place, STOP and look else where!! They DO NOT deserve to be in business!!! My dog is now at home comfortable & in road to his recovery. read more

I have to say I'm pretty happy with the service. My dogs are not afraid to enter the business when I drop them off, which says a lot about how they are being handled . When I pick them up they always look and smell great! I have been coming here for 3+ years and I plan on continuing on being a customer. They seem to really care about my pups and that's very important to me. The owner suggested one of my dogs could be having an allergic reaction to her food due to the skin breakouts and rashes that he noticed and sure enough, she was. Many thanks for noticing and for bringing it to my attention :) I highly recommend. I am not sure on how competitive this place is as far as pricing goes but I am not taking my pups there because of the price. They seem to like the owner and I'm happy knowing that my dogs are happy when I drop them off. read more
