Nick came into our lives during a very bad situation I had between 2 of my girls and has been our guardian Angel ever since. We had to put one of them down due to injuries and thought I would need to rehome 2 of them but he worked with all of us and made my pack stronger and more bonded than ever. He took the time to come over first and watch and observe them together and then he worked with them individually and in smaller groups. He trained me as well on how to be a stronger mama bear and take my power back. He taught me to "lock up" my couch since the couch was misbehaving when I wasn't home. Haha. Now my furniture is safe, my dogs aren't tempted and they can be unsupervised more often without getting into trouble. His weekly group classes are a lot of fun to bring the dogs to so they can play and train at the same time. They can meet other dogs if they want or we just do our own thing and my crazies love Mr. Nick. He still periodically checks in on us and always responds to my texts when I have a quick question. You can tell he truly loves all the animals he works with and they can feel it too. I'm so glad he was recommended to me by my vet. He was life saver then and he is still one now. Because 5 crazies is a lifelong commitment and the training snd questions never stop. read more

We are so thankful we came across Nick & Ashley at Content K9s. Winter almost immediately connected with Nick. He is patient, clear and builds a strong foundation that helps puppies build confidence. We had a package for both private and group training, and both have been incredibly valuable for us & Winter. At group she is learning impulse control, basic commands while there is a lot going on around her, agility, and we sometimes finish with group play that reinforces how to play with other dogs in a safe & controlled environment. We also did a board & train while we were on vacation, and Winter was so happy (and tired) when we got home, but responded much better to commands, but we had to stay consistent for her. 100000/10 Highly suggest Content K9s! read more

We began working with Nick when our puppy, Koa, was about six months old, and we were impressed from the very first in-home consultation. If you're looking for a knowledgeable and professional dog trainer, Nick brings both expertise and clarity to the process. His approach gave us the confidence to move forward with one of his puppy training packages. The group sessions have been incredibly valuable--providing structure, socialization, and meaningful growth for Koa. We're especially grateful for the one-on-one guidance Nick has given us, helping us confidently reinforce commands and build strong obedience skills at home and on walks. We've seen tremendous improvement, particularly in managing Koa's over-the-top excitement when greeting people and other dogs. Content K9s also offers boarding and training to their clients, so having that option during our recent 2 1/2-week international trip gave us complete peace of mind. Koa was clearly well cared for, and we returned to a happy, well-adjusted pup. Nick and the Content K9s team deliver professional, effective, and thoughtful dog training. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for puppy training, obedience training, or behavioral support. read more

My dog Chai is a year old. I adopted her from a local shelter and honestly didn't know much about her past, other than she was a stray. Nick is so good with her! She wouldn't walk when I put the leash on her and would just freeze in place. I was so nervous & stressed out on how I would train her when she wouldn't even take one step. On Day 1, Nick was able to get her so much more confident and walking at a nice, steady pace. I've done both private & group lessons now and cannot recommend this company enough! They turned my shy little Chai into a proud, confident German Shepherd like she was always meant to be! read more

Nick is amazing and very personable. My friends have mentioned to me that it seems like a have a different dog. Thanks for everything Nick.

I rescued a 4 year old American Bully mix. He's a tank at 60 pounds of muscle. I was anxious as we experienced some behavior issues, reactions to other dogs during our walks, and toward one of our family members at home. I thought Buk had to find a new home just weeks after getting him to mine. Nick never judged me (I judged myself) but was kind and so supportive and offered nothing but his help and guidance. He trained me on how to communicate with Buk and showed Buk he was safe and loved. Nick explained how my family member could handle themselves around Buk, and saved that situation too. I cannot recommend Nick and his team enough! If you think you need help, this is the team that can do it! read more

I called Nick back in June for an immediate consultation because my 1 year old puppy started attacking my 3 year old dog. She was resource guarding myself and my husband. He was able to come out the following weekend to start training. He was able to accommodate all of our schedule needs (my husband works 7 AM-10 PM daily). He worked great with both of my dogs, and I saw a huge turn around in just a few weeks following his instructions. (I worked with my puppy everyday per his instruction). By the 3rd training session, my 1 year old was back to normal- able to be around the family and my other dog. I noticed when I would be firm with her if she began to growl, she would immediately listen and become submissive to my 3 year old. Nick has been a great trainer and helped my dogs tremendously! We got to spend the last session as water desensitization since my puppy was being an Angel again. Thank you Nick! Hope to see you and Shadow for pool time soon! read more

We have a 9 year old French bull dog and brought home a Puppy mini golden doodle. The French bulldog was extremely aggressive and we had to keep them separated... which was almost impossible. Reached out to Nick and within a few visits, our dogs can be left together for hours. Honestly thought we would never see this. Our French is completely tolerant of the puppy now( she has a limit though). Nick gives you and your family the tools, helps stick with fundamentals, and is very patient... he understands life can get in the way and help get you back on track if you didn't have the most successful training week. We are now focusing on the puppy and seeing great progress with basic commands. Full recommendation for ContentK9s. read more

We rescued a 4 years old English bulldog 2 years ago. The previous owner did not socialize her with other dogs which resulted in her being very reactive to other dogs. She would lunge and growl at other dogs on our walks. This was very stressful for us. We signed her up for training with another trainer shortly after we rescued her. After only one session we had to stop. Whatever method the trainer was using did not agree with our dog. She came home demoralized and ended up going to the vet for a tongue infection. We couldn't continue with the training and decided that we would have to accept her the way she is. Fast forward a year later, the walks are still stressful and uncomfortable. We decided we should give it one more try to find another trainer for her. I did some research on Yelp and found Content K9s. We had nothing to lose to at least engage in a consultation with Nick. We met with Nick and found him to be very professional, knowledgeable and personable. We agreed with his method of training and best of all our dog loved Nick from day one. Nick's training method involves rewarding them with treats and our dog was very responsive to that. She was very happy in both her private and group lessons. We saw changes in her in just a couple of sessions. She was more responsive to our commands. As training continued, she became less reactive to other dogs. Our walks became less stressful and more enjoyable. The communication between us and our dog improved. Nick has taught us so much about our dog. We didn't think we could change the behavior of a 6 years old bulldog but we were wrong. Nick is a great trainer and I would not hesitate to recommend him. Thank you Nick for the work that you do. read more

Let me tell you we been having a trouble time leaving our baby at home. He has a big problem with separation anxiety. Our new friend Nicolas that was recommended to me by a friend at a barbershop that we all go to. Nicolas has impressive knowledge and understanding of our 4 legged companions . He showed us different ways of exiting our house with out triggering OZZY's anxiety. In reality he trained us into being better pet owners and not just smother our dog because it can lead to bad habits. I hope this new relationship helps improves OZZY's way of living in our house and thank you Nicolas for helping us out . read more

We are so grateful we found Nick! We rescued a 1.5 year old German shepherd with a rough past. When she started becoming reactive to people and other pets, Nick was available within a few days and helped us completely turn around her behavior. Nick has been an absolute game-changer for me and my dog Max. From the very first session, I could tell he really knew what he was doing--not just with dogs, but with people too. Max used to pull like crazy on walks and had zero interest in listening, but now he's so much more focused and responsive. Nick's training style is super clear, patient, and positive, and he makes the whole process feel doable (and even fun). You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients, both human and canine. If you're on the fence about whether obedience training is worth the cost or your limited free time and energy, then let me put your mind at ease -- training with Nick is 100% worth it. I called Nick back in August, shortly after bringing my (then) 2 month-old puppy, Luna, home. It was clear from our first session that Nick is very knowledgeable about all things training-related, and he was great at building trust and a positive rapport with my pup. Nick's sessions reinforce and build upon the training I do at home with Luna; Nick will correct and/or address any deficiencies (not just with my pup, but with me or my commands, leash handling, etc.), focus on any problem behaviors, and answer any questions/provide guidance. After each session with Nick I see marked improvements in my pup's behavior, and I'm beyond pleased with her progress. I fully recommend Nick/Content K9s. Five stars for Content K9s! My dog, Canela, had some behavioral issues, including lunging at dogs. I've tried everything I could do to train her myself, but nothing seemed to work. He took the time to understand Canela's unique personality and developed a training plan that was tailored to her needs. Her training sessions were extremely rewarding. Having Nick work with us and our pup Trooper was the best decision! We adopted Trooper this summer at 7 months and 45 pounds. He was growing fast, and he's so sweet but was reactive towards small prey and other dogs. My husband is a combat vet and wanted to train Trooper up to be a service dog, I just wanted a pup that I could trust not to pull or go crazy on walks! Nick took us through private and group classes and was able to help the three of us reach all of our goals! Nick's patience for training, people and dogs, is unlimited. He's extremely knowledgeable and talented at communicating with dogs and owners so training is easy and enjoyable. We already loved Trooper from day one, but learning how to work with him bonded us even more. Whatever your goals are for your pup, I highly recommend Nick, he's the best! read more

I couldn't recommend Nick more! I found him here on Yelp, reached out, and he followed up right away. He was super flexible and fit me in within a few days. My dog's main issue was reactivity and barking at every dog/person when we would go out on a walk. Within the initial consultation Nick gave us tools that helped from day 1. If any future issues arise I will definitely be reaching out to Nick. 100% recommend! read more

If anyone is meant to be a dog trainer, it's Nick! My rescue dog, Chico, can be reactive due to fearfulness of unfamiliar dogs and people. He was also an aggressive puller while on a leash, so with that and the reactivity, walks and outdoor adventures were extremely stressful for both of us. But, thanks to Nick, that is totally changing! In just 5 sessions, Chico is a turning into a completely different dog. The difference is beyond noticeable and I'm so grateful for all Nick has done. Chico now walks nicely with me on a slip leash, responds to 8 different commands, is more confident and a lot less reactive. Even when he is reactive, I feel a lot more confident in my own ability to handle the situation. A combo of group and private sessions has done wonders for Chico. Nick keeps his training methods simple and straightforward, he is easy to get in contact with and willing to answer questions about any of my dogs, not just Chico. He was also more than willing to drive out to Lake Las Vegas for private sessions at home. He's also extremely honest about how many sessions your dog may need and extremely affordable. I cannot recommend him enough! read more

Content K9s was an amazing resource for training not just my puppy, but me! Nick and his team saved my puppy. She was kicked out of camp for aggressive behavior. My puppy was smart and did not have bad genes. She lacked confidence and didn't trust people. I believe something happened at camp. Since I work full-time, to loose camp for her was devastating. Now I realize it was a blessing in disguise to remove her from that environment. Nick took a scared aggressive puppy and transformed her into a confident, content K9. We brought our Pit Bull, Captain, to Nick for what we thought was food aggression. The dog we got back seriously made a complete 180. Not only was he eating out of the same bowl as Nick's dog, but his obedience was so much better than how we left him. We got back a confident, well-mannered dog who loooooves his toys. Nick even sent some of his favorite toys with him. When I picked Captain up, we made a pit stop at the book store and he listened incredibly. Stayed by my side, sat or laid down when told to, and loved saying hi to people. I cannot recommend Nick enough! Working with Nick is an absolute pleasure. Our 4 year old pitbull mix, Ghost, was scared of new people and situations since he was a puppy, and Nick has helped him (and us) with becoming more confident. Nick is so patient and knowledgeable. Had our first session today and already see a lot of progress with Seoul. Contacted Nicholas in regards to Seouls reactivity towards people and other animals. He approached and handled our dog Seoul with a lot of care and consideration, which is a big change we've had from past experiences with trainers. When seoul did go to take bites Nicholas handled the situation perfectly and continued on interacting with Seoul. By the end of the session Nicholas was able to get up from the table without Seoul Lu going towards him. We've signed up for the large package and will update with results. Nick at ContentK9s is the best. Our dog used to nip, jump, and bark excessively. A trip to the vet was stressful for everyone. She now loads up in the car easily and behaves in the backseat. Nick has been instrumental in correcting her behavior and also providing us the tools necessary to keep up with her training. She used to bite and bark at our family member's dogs too. I got my dog Tucker from my parents when they couldn't take care of him anymore. He was a ranch dog, so moving to a Bay Area apartment was a big change. Even though he was much older, I had a lot of trouble with him biting and barking at other dogs. Even after my first private lesson with Nick, Tucker's behavior was vastly improved. I ended up opting for a dozen lessons, some private and some group. I couldn't be happier with the results and I'm happy I spent the money on the training. After scanning through a few of the local dog trainers on Google and Yelp, I landed on Content K9s. My wife had just blew out her knee earlier that day and having three small children, I knew I needed all the help I could get. We had just adopted the sweetest puppy from a local LV rescue 2 weeks prior. She was already a handful with waking us up all hours of the night and now everything fell on my shoulders. I work from home and don't have much time outside of work hours, so I needed someone who could come to me and help me train her. Also, I didn't want to put my puppy that i just rescued, through a 2 week board and train. Nick was able to meet with me immediately that day, which I really needed. He took her to the back yard and started to get to know her, she immediately loved him. She was a bit skittish with new people, so this was a shock. By the end of the first private training session, I could immediately tell a difference in her behavior. Not only had she already learned the basic commands, I had been trying to teach her for 2 weeks, but she was so eager to learn more. Now 4/5 weeks in, she is already learning advanced commands and barely jumps on the kids anymore. She has become such a perfect member of the family, we all didn't know we needed. My boys all think they are dog trainers now and they absolutely love working with Feta. Not only does he teach me how to train my dog but he also works and uses my children for her lessons. I highly recommend Nick Reece at Content K9s. You can't go wrong with him! -Matt read more

Nick is an amazing dog trainer and teacher. 5 months ago we began fostering this 2 year old Aussie/Border Collie mix from the Animal Foundation and I quickly learned that I was in way over my head. She had intense reactivity to other dogs, motorcycles and bicycles as well as a prey drive chasing anything that moved. But more than that, we had our 4 year old Stella to integrate with and Nick guided me through that process with so much patience and clameness. I might have given up if I didn't have him in my corner. Always things to work on but Junie and Stella are pals and we officially adopted last month. They walk together, play together, swim together.
