Sin City K-9 aka Rich is the OG dog trainer in the LV/Henderson valley and is EXCELLENT. I used to be the person who would have to avoid dog parks and cross the street on dog walks if we crossed paths with any other human or dog until we started working with Rich. Today, I was able to walk right by a medium sized dog lunging and barking at my Maltese mix puppy while my dog stayed right next me without lunging or barking perfectly after working with Rich for about 3-4 weeks. And, the price is an amazing value for the results. Rich is seriously an amazing dog trainer and is great with people too. I am so impressed, happy, and grateful for Rich and his training!! I will never go back to not training my dogs. And, I will always be a loyal customer to Sin City K-9! read more

Wanted to take a minute to commend and thank Rich and Tyson for their help with my feisty lil English Bully lady. First of all the results have been great. I have had multiple dogs and she's the only one I've ever felt the need to get help training with, so she's a challenge. Her behavior isn't perfect, but she's made a ton of progress and is completely manageable now. She's still getting better but even if this is was all the improvement she made I would honestly be totally content with the results. Additionally, their prices are really reasonable compared to other places. My recommendation to get the best bang for your buck is to do the 3 week training program at their facility while coordinating with an extended vacation you might be planning. Their price is in the same ballpark as an upscale boarding house, except you get the huge benefit of the training and attention for the pooch! The team is also very personable and flexible, being very gracious with their schedule when I needed some follow up training sessions to make sure I was reenforcing the training properly. I also always was left feeling secure that these guys are dog lovers and my precious gal was in caring hands when I was out of town. All in all, I sincerely was very happy with my experience and have already recommended them to several of my friends. read more

Rich and Tyson have been training our 3 dogs since they were 16 weeks old. Two of the dogs are not even living in Las Vegas, once in San Diego and the other in Reno. When either dogs come for park classes or just for one on one training Rich and Tyson makes sure they are available, if not Tyson will do FaceTime. Our dogs have been great and we don't know any other behavior but good behavior since we sent them in for Board and Train with lifetime group training. Now of course we did our time by keeping up with their training after our dogs came home. The E-Collar was unexpected but to be honest it help us communicate with our dogs and now they no longer need them since they understand all the commands. Highly recommend getting your puppies in early if possible. read more

Rich and his team did wonders for our older German Shepherd who struggled with aggression toward other dogs. We could never walk past other dogs peacefully as she would always pull and bark and snarl. Now she does much better even with dogs running up to her. She's been night and day since we started and can even do off leash stuff really well. The park classes are great to get out and have the dogs all together. They can be a little repetitive but that's what they need to keep the training up. Just like anything you get out what you put into it. read more

Rich is a joke. He. never calls or text back for appts. he was getting married and was scattered and pissed off at he's fiancé most of the time . he was also not happy with us because we already had a training collar and didn't purchase his preferred collar. he purposely would shock my dog too much and then blame the collar. which was $400 off amazon there was always problems getting appts. then our training sessions would get cut short for whatever reason. we paid upfront like we were asked and he basically gave us 5 sessions and then disappeared. wouldn't meet to discuss the problem. never followed up with us . a true unprofessional Tried for months to get a refund but he ghosted me and the wife . I guess that's what you do to people who pay cash and try to work around your problems for you . All the good ratings seem like friends to me. read more

Sun City K - 9 is amazing!!! My husband stumbled upon him almost 10 years ago when we had our first Labrador. Thank goodness we did. He helped correct naughty behavior , digging, sprinkler lines, patio furniture, jumping on furniture. Everything you don't want now on our 3rd dog. He is great ! We have a standard poodle and Called rich and Tyson as soon as our pup turned 12 weeks old and I swear this is by far the best dog I've ever had and so well behaved but also still living like a puppy ! I highly recommend Sin City. This is what they are amazing at and you can tell they spend time with these dogs in making sure they're meeting your needs. Listen you have to do the work too! But it's worth it! Call them! read more

My lab went to Rich and Tyson at 5 months old for two weeks. Then Tyson trained me and we did park classes for about a year. Nadia is so well trained and everyday I get compliments on wow what a great behaved dog!! She is usually off leash and it is so enjoyable and fun. I had to be trained in the use of the e collar. My Nadia rarely needs a tap as she listens and obeys the easy voice commands. As a responsible often off leash trail walking dog owner her e collar is on and like I said I almost never have to tap the remote!! I've never owned a dog that obeyed so perfect off leash!! Thank you Tyson for teaching Nadia and me!! read more

They are very friendly and make you feel at ease. We have never had a dog trainer before. The fact that they can still do their job while my other 3 dogs are at the house too is amazing. My brother in law recommended them on Thanksgiving and I am so happy he did. I am excited for us and Phoebe. Money well spent!!! read more

My wife and I couldn't be more pleased! We were referred to Rich by a friend who couldn't speak more highly of Rich's service. Our husky never got along with other dogs...he'd become VERY aggressive and protective at the sight of another dog. We thought we'd never be able to get another doggie friend, but we did anyways and our home had become divided into two living sections with a gate in between. We felt as if our home would be like this forever...full of anxiety and safeguards. After working with Rich for 4 at home appointments, our dogs...believe it or not...have become BEST FRIENDS!! We were able to give our husky more confidence, while also setting important boundaries with our new puppy. The two of them play together all of the time, and they've both learned to be respectful of the other's boundaries. Frankly...it's magical. Rich is amazing and we're so incredibly appreciative that he helped us get control of our house, and helped our pups be respectful and loving to one another. read more

Rich and Tyson are amazing !!!!!! We had four home private lessons. Me and my family had to dedicate a lot of time to mastered the basic commands but after that we were ready for park class!!!!! Sin City K9 gave us the basic instructions and help to train our dog but you must be willing to put in the work to. They have a park class dedicated to Desert breeze park which is really convenient for us. Our dog learn to interact with other dogs and listen to commands specific to them. The best part is the park classes are lifetime included with the training. If you ever need your dog reassessed or more one on one Time with the trainer they will come back out to you included in the training. I highly recommend Sin city K9 to anyone that wants a well trained dog. read more

I set up an appointment for an evaluation, hoping to start as soon as possible. Two hours before, I got a cancellation due to health issues of the trainer. All I can say is WOW. Rich is wonderful! My Italian greyhound puppy is 7 months old and is very responsive to Rich's method of training. We've made so much progress and much more quickly than I expected. I am amazed as my pup can be very high strung at times and stubborn when he feels like it. Couldn't have asked for someone better. Everyone's dog learns at a different pace and he will work with you until your dog is responsive to all of the commands he puts in place. Highly recommend him! read more

Rich's style of training has been extremely effective with my stubborn Shar Pei. Especially as a puppy, I have seen a complete change in his mentality and obedience. He (my pup) is now consistently looking for what I want from him as opposed to what he wants to do. He is even starting to pick up on patterns, for example, he recognizes that when I am going to clean, he is asked to go to his "place"; he no longer needs the command, when he sees the broom, he goes straight to his "place". Walks are a breeze, we go to coffee shops and he stays right at my feet, it has allowed my dog to get out of the house more often since I trust he will behave. I highly recommend using Sin City K-9! read more

I originally gave 2 stars because my dog was not house trained when he got home. Part of it might have been a misunderstanding that I needed to work a little with the dog, which I didn't. Rich agreed to take the dog again FREE OF CHARGE. read more

The duo of Rich and Tyson is great! They have open availability for your personal classes and also allow park classes if you have the open time ! They both have great attitudes and you can see that they're there to better your dogs and overall have better behavior for the whole household! The step by step training allows the dog to learn at a steady pace and never overwhelmed them , I've seen a huge change in behavior with my stubborn bulldog with sin city training and putting in a little extra work throughout the day ! Would highly recommend them as they are an effective team with great attitudes, work ethic and always an open line of communication! read more

The more I've used my current trainer the more I've realized using this service was a waste of time and money. The small interaction and the quick use of punitive training versus reward trading is appalling. It's important to know the dogs and what motivates them...that takes taking the time to know them...not using the dog collar remote as a buzzer in a game of jeopardy. read more

Our precious pup was a little bit too out of control. Since our classes with Rich, she is well mannered, more loving, less aggressive, and doesn't just bark all night long anymore. Our neighbors are happier and we have a happy and we'll mannered little princess. He went at our pace and never did our puppy get any mistreatment along the way. Rich was recommended to us from one of our neighbors who used him in the past and I highly recommend him for anyone who wants to transform your 4 legged little family member into a smart and friendly companion. read more

We reached out to Rich at Sin City K-9 for help in training our energetic 5 month old lab. After attempting training at two other training facilities in our area, Rich was recommended to us by another puppy owner who was impressed with Rich's training program. Rich was very responsive, he met with us for an evaluation the next day and discussed his proposed training for Kali. Rich and Tyson's skills and professionalism have demonstrated significant improvement in Kali's behavior. In just 4 weeks, we now can walk Kali without pulling or lunging at other people or dogs, she will walk in a "heel" command, and we can control her barking and jumping. We can now enjoy visits to the park and neighborhood walks and look forward to Kali's continued improvement as we work through her program with Rich. I would highly recommend Rich and Sin City K-9. read more

I started working with Richard & Tyson about a month/month a half ago. It's amazing how much a few hours can truly change your dog and the quality of my dogs life. If anyone is looking for a dog trainer I highly recommend these guys! read more

I had 2 dogs trained by Rich a couple of years ago and after the 21 days board and training they came home as completely different dogs. I gave him two troublemakers that would bark at everything and they returned as 2 well behaved little ladies. Now he is training my 2 other dogs (yes, I currently have four) on weekly lessons at my house and is getting great results with them. If you have the money for the board and training program, you obviously get much faster results that way, but the weekly training is also very efficient. read more

We were at our wits end with 2 puppies in the home, but thanks to Rich and Tyson, we're on our way to having 2 well behaved dogs. I love that the price of training is based on mastery of the skill set and not number of sessions. Adding to that, the prices just can't be beat! We are doing sessions in our home and just over the last week, we've seen great improvement in our puppies. We can't wait to see our pups grow over the next few weeks thanks to the help of Sun City K-9's trainings. If you're considering it, do it! read more

I was shopping around for a dog trainer and Sin City K-9 was the best. After meeting with so many dog trainers, Rich made the best impression. After our first lesson I noticed a huge improvement in my German Shepard puppy. I was worried about them being able to tame my crazy pup but she was no match for them even in the first hour. She's continuing to learn and becoming the perfect dog. I can't thank them enough. These guys are the best trainers in the valley and the best bang for your buck. read more

It's been 8 days since I started the training with Rich and my two Belgian shepherds are the best they have ever been. One of my dogs, Indiana, is very strong and played very roughly with other dogs. For almost 6 months my neighbors pit bull and Indiana would jump on the backyard gate against each other. My neighbors dog stopped after she put some potted plants on her side but no matter what we did we couldn't deter Indiana. We tried the pet safe shock collar boundary and failed miserably. One day Indiana literary pushed the slat out of the socket and flew into my neighbor's backyard. This was just one of many problems. I could never have people over. He was a menace at dog parks but such a sweet cuddle bug at home. I felt so frustrated that no one could see what a good dog he could be at times because 99% of the time he was terrible around people. Lara on the other hand is a doll and we never had many problems with her however we thought might as well train both. The first day Rich stopped Indiana's bad habit to jump on the fence. I even had my neighbor taunt Indiana by tapping on the backyard fence and he hasn't jumped on it since. The very next day they could sit in place at my parents small condo even with dinner commotion they just laid on their bed chewed on their bones and slept. By the fourth day I took them to the dog park and I had two random people compliment me oh how well behaved my dogs were. By the sixth day I had people over! With food on our coffee table and both my dogs behaved like angels. I wish I would've done this sooner and the reason I didn't was because I didn't want to spend the money but now I know it was money well spent and totally worth it. It is a Weight off my shoulders! read more

I recently had Rich come to my home to do one-on-one training with me and my dog, a 5 year old Belgian Shepherd rescue who had various issues, but mostly he was dog reactive. It was so stressful for me to walk him because he would pull on the leash and lunge at any dog, big or small, that we would encounter during our walk through the neighborhood. Same thing would happen in the vet's office, pet store or anywhere else for that matter. His reaction was even worse if a cat was anywhere near. So glad I found Rich (only sorry I didn't find him sooner!!). His methods are effective and successful, and, after only a short time working with him, I now have a very well mannered dog. He walks beautifully on the leash, and he doesn't panic anymore when there's another dog (or CAT) nearby. I can take him everywhere now with the same result. I highly recommend Rich for his professionalism, knowledge and courtesy. For me, he's a miracle worker!! :) It was a pleasure working with him, as well as meeting his own awesome dog, Ace. Thank you Rich! read more

So we were looking for a dog trainer, and reviews. Searched around a bit and wanted to try Rich. He came out free of charge and told us about himself, training and showed us what his training dog could do. That's when we decided on hiring him. We have not yet finished the training but the difference in our dog is night and day already . Our dog is high energy, nervous, anxious and aggressive towards other dogs. It's been 3 weeks and she has responded very well to the training. Commands are pretty simple as well as his instruction . We definitely recommend Rich and are confident in his training thus far. read more
