I must say I am a frequent visitor of this store to pick up treats and necessities for my pup. I guess I have never thought to take a good look at the fish though, I went in there with the kids I watch while tailgating to cool down in the AC and look at animals. One of the kids immediately wanted to go check out the fish, from the moment we get over there she begins to ask why so many of the fish are "upside down", threw my further examination I realized their was at least two dead fish per tank. Fish floating on the top, suctioned to the filter, squeezed in between the walls, ect. I then had to explain to her how the fish were simply "sleeping", which becomes hard to do when some of the fish stuck to the filter are literally bones with barley any flesh left. It's not so much the fact the fish have died (we all know that happens) it's more the negligence of the employees for not noticing the dead fish when they have clearly been there for days, weeks even. I am disappointed by the upkeep and hope to see better. read more

OUT OF $400!!! never again will i take my future puppies to the puppy training at this location (Foxboro) is horrible. they are unwilling to work with you. i signed my puppy up for the 3 glasses they offer. we went to our very first class, they gave him a chicken treat (he was only 6 months) that made him sick for months which is why we missed classes. now that he is better they are making up forfeit our $400 because he missed classes and they do not offer the best times for the classes. i work two full time jobs and the other members of the house hold also work full time. they are unwilling to help us try to transfer stores to see if they offer something later at night. the trainer is also very forgetful and hard to get a hold of. she would state she would contact you but you have to chase her down because of her limited work schedule. read more

This pet store just opened at Patriot Place, and to say that it is a nice place to shop is an understatement. With that said, I'd be surprised if they managed to stay open honestly. Even with the grand opening within the past week, I was the only customer in the store. It was surely nice to be asked by seven different employees "do you need help finding anything", but the problem was not the factor of finding it but actually carrying it in the store. Even with lots of space and the factor of complete "newness" with this place, there are several empty shelves. For instance, one of the few things that they didn't carry at all were "Greenie" dog treats... they had big, large bags of them, but no individuals like most other Petco stores around. The store was very clean and organized, but the problem is that it wasn't completely functional.... three things that I wanted to purchase I had to wait on since they didn't carry any of them, and then go and get them at Petsmart at the Walpole Mall. The other things is, Petco needs to work on being fair to all of their stores, currently the store in Norwood is completely neglected and GROSS, but it serves a purpose for the residents there (that place does in fact get busy).... since they do such a decent amount of business they deserve the next to be renovated! Good enough store, but the functionality for customers is a key that hasn't been mastered by those who have chosen the interesting stock assortment that arrives to Petco at Patriot Place. I will be back, and will hope for the best, since I did like the store a lot, but that doesn't mean this will be a regular stop for me. 4 stars. read more

We took our youthful and exuberant Boston to see Jen to help us with beginner puppy classes at Petco in Foxboro. Jen had the patience to work with both my wife and I, as well as our dog. All three of us learned so much from Jen. She is a real pro and has a caring personality. We heartily recommend this training program with Jen to anyone considering learning how best to interact with their dog. It's sad to see how uninformed and brainwashed some employees of Petco are regarding BEG diets. When an employees tells me that veterinarians are spreading false information based on incorrect reports I can't help but laugh. It's sad that some people will end up listening to the information from a sales associate who believes a dr of veterinary medicine knows less than she. read more

This store is so bad. My girlfriends sister who keep in mind was 18 (so it's legal) tried purchasing a fish for her self and a women named amanda stopped us for no reason claiming we were not allowed to buy it because us the kids were underaged. We were just going for the ride but i guess that's such a problem. Every other worker had no problem and was helping us get the supplies she needed to keep good care but this Amanda you call a nice worker was the total opposite. She was so rude to us too. We tried talking back nicely and as respectful as possible but she still stopped us. I'm not mad..im just disappointed. read more

I took my puppy Dolly in for her first grooming. This was a great experience all around. I called initially to ask lots of questions about what services they offer and would suggest and the person who answered the phone was so nice and helpful answering all my questions in great detail. They also were able to fit my puppy in that same day which was fantastic!! When I took dolly in Nichole helped us and ended up doing the grooming service. She asked lots of questions about what and how I wanted dolly groomed as well as questions about her personality. When I came back to pick her up, both my fiancé and I were more than thrilled with the results. She did exactly what we wanted and what I'd asked for and I can tell my puppy was so happy and was treated well!!! They also have me a 20% off coupon as a first timer. I will definitely be back and I will ask for nichole again. She did an absolutely amazing job and it's a lot of work as I have a Goldendoodle with lots of hair!! read more

Excellent Experience! I have been bringing my dogs to Petco for several years. I have used several locations, looking for a pro groomer. I found that groomer in Foxboro. Daniel did an incredible job and I was amazed at the quality of his work. My pup had a bad experience at another location and since, has hated the nail trimming. Daniel not only was able to clip her nails, but buffed them as well. The entire experience was good for my pup but also good for me. Now I have a pro groomer whom I trust to leave my pup with and know by the quality of his service, that he care about what he does. Thank you Dan!!!! read more

The store itself is clean and kept very neat! We take our puppy here for grooming and are always happy with the results! The best part of this store is the dog trainer Jen! She is very knowledgeable and is quick to offer advice to help those pups (and their owners) who have behavioral issues, potty trouble, chewing, anxiety, and just general training. She explains everything in great detail and doesn't mind repeating herself if you miss something. She also is not afraid to correct human behavior too, which I like best, because some of our puppy's problems were resolved when we adjusted our behavior. Another great thing about the training is the flexible schedule. Jen offers classes on evenings and weekends, and at Gillette will reschedule classes during events. My husband and I have taken a total of six classes with Jen and will continue to sign up for more! There are always new tricks for our baby Desi to learn! Bottom line is Jen will love and work just as hard for your puppy as you do. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give. read more

My husband and I went to this store the day it opened and could not be more impressed. We knew we were getting our English Lab puppy Chubbs in a few weeks, and when we met Jen Durden, we immediately knew we wanted our new puppy to be in her training classes!! Chubbs just completed Puppy Two and my husband and I are convinced that Jen is by far his favorite human!! We get complements everywhere we go how well behaved Chubbs is, and we owe it all to Jen! I WOULDN'T GET A CHIA PET groomed here. Admittedly, I had previously brought my Yorkie in to be groomed and they did a great job once before. So much so, requested the same groomer, Dan, again. On Thursday, I called and was told my Yorkie could be dropped off at 8:10am (sign on store says grooming opens at 8am), only to be told, I would have to wait until 8:30a. Okaaay. Waited. I signed the appropriate paperwork, and promised "classic yorkie cut (usually 1-2 inches of hair, trimmed and groomed). All other stores are careful to show examples of different lengths, but was assured she would get the same groom as last time. When my dad picked her up SHE WAS SHAVED TO THE SKIN. She is small and her hair keeps her warm. Ladies, picture asking for a inch off at the salon, and getting a whiffle. For the next two months, she will have to try to keep warm without any hair. Sorry if you had a bad day, Dan, but shame on you. My money was refunded, but doesn't help my poor girl. read more

My wife and I rescued our boy Duke in April of this year. He was a very timid and submissive boy. We started off training with Jen with Puppy 1 followed with Puppy 2 and we are just about to finish clicker training. To say Jen changed our boy for the best would be an understatement. He is a completely different dog. He has confidence and is very obedient. We can take him out in public to dog friendly establishments and he is the best behaved dog in there . Duke gets constant compliments on how well behaved he is. This summer Duke joined us on a 3,000 mile road trip, staying in hotels and he was absolutely amazing. We can't recommend Jen and Petco enough. We loved Jen so much that we recently adopted our Bella girl and well she is the trouble maker of our little family. Bella just finished puppy 1 and is starting puppy 2 this Tuesday. Bella had ready shown a drastic improvement in the short time training with Jen. We look forward to future classes with Jen.
