These are the teenage years when they test a lot and we were all acclimating to each other. From our first assessment session our dog (and we) learned a ton and Pam gave us plenty of tips for moving forward. We booked 5 more sessions and we saw our dog's behavior, and our ability to react appropriately to misbehavior, improve immensely. There were improvements with jumping, counter surfing, leash walking, recall, and "leave it," to name a few. Pam personalizes every session, provides really helpful session summaries and handouts, and is available always for questions. We're going to sign up for a group class with her this summer, too. 12/10 recommend Pam and Down4Paws!

She is always patient with our puppy and with us and our kids. Pam involves the entire family in the training process, which we felt was unique when searching for a trainer. After working with Pam for 5 weeks, our puppy is able to seamlessly perform all of the obedience tasks she taught in training. We have decided to go even further with our training because the results we have seen already have been met beyond our expectations. I would recommend Pam without ANY hesitation for anyone looking for a reliable trainer with proven results!

Karma was diagnosed with Lepto but was never given the vaccine nor was she ever put on pet…read moreinsurance, even after the Executive Director of Gofi Dogs was instructed to do so several times. I took her to Angell Memorial Hospital and medical care began. My name was the only name on the account. At no time was anyone from Gofi allowed to visit Karma in the ICU unit. After I left Angell, the Executive Director of Gofi Dogs visited without telling me. She told them she was the "co-owner" of Karma. They denied her access. Angell called later that week and said an "irate woman was calling them, verbally abusing three staff members, and trying to get access to Karma." They denied her again. Several Gofi staff members told me they witnessed this and said the Executive Director was completely unhinged. The Executive Director called me a few days later and said, "If I had known Karma needed dialysis and had been allowed access to her, I would've had her euthanized." READ THAT AGAIN. I don't care about the bullying, harassment, getting the Walpole police involved (the Executive Director did that too), calling a lawyer she knew I'd contact (more on that later), the lack of communication, or the flip-flopping about how much money she demanded. I only care about what Karma had to go through. Because the account was in my name only, Karma had that fighting chance. And because of that, she's alive. If it had been the Executive Director of Gofi Dogs' decision, Karma wouldn't be. READ THAT AGAIN TOO. Karma had no one as she sat in that cage for days with tubes sticking out of her and having no idea if I was coming back. That is beyond inexcusable. I sent an email to the Board of Directors of Gofi Dogs. I never heard back from them. Not. A. Word. The Executive Director of Gofi Dogs set up a fundraising platform for Karma and raised well over $1000. I never saw a dime. I contacted a lawyer and he said, "If you have any social media content up, take it down." "Why?" I asked. "Someone from Gofi contacted me and warned me about you. They don't want their reputation tarnished." I asked if it was the Executive Director of Gofi. "No," he said, "It was someone else on their board." The Executive Director also had my review taken down somehow so this is my second posting. Unethical, conniving, and shady all around.

If having your money mishandled bothers you, then maybe look at other options... On 3 separate occasions, we paid cash per diem upon AM dropoff...and on *all three* of those occasions, an evening staff person was in touch looking for duplicate payment. Becca was great in resolving the second instance - but in fairness, I said if it happened a third time you've lost us - and now here we are. The third time (8/8), we even put the cash in an envelope with our dog's name (as instructed)...and we're still getting "where's your payment" texts. Great lesson in mismanaging the cash drawer. Textbook ineptitude, and lack of communication between AM and PM shift. Nice work losing a customer...came here after Paws Off Leash closed, time to look again. Ask for a receipt!

That was the 1st red flag. The first session was okay however a 3 week gap for a 6 month old puppy should have been communicated prior to training and taking my payment. The 2nd session Jenny insisted on her way of doing things as if she is strictly training a human regardless if it's effective for the dog. Her policies are rigid and self serving. She claims to own a thriving dog business yet works at doggy daycares "for friends"...not an indicator of a thriving business owner. I wasn't pleased. After the 2nd training there were a host of excuses from her such as personal illness, family deaths, in which Jenny violates her own cancellation policies and attempted to flip it on me as the customer. Given her lack of reliability I waited haphazardly to book the 3rd session. I went along with the remaining 2 sessions as she "doesn't issue refunds.." with sub par results. The final straw for me was the day I was leaving the state for a business trip and Jenny cancelled on me 1.5 hours before my flight for an overnight stay claiming my dog (the one she trained so well) was too wild for an overnight and she'd have to bring her home. She even went as far as diagnosing my puppy with behavioral issues and attempted to sell me more on dog walks for a fee!!! My elderly parents thankfully took her and had no problems so I could attend work meetings. 3 months past and there was 0 effort on Jenny's behalf to initiate communication for my final training when I'd much prefer a refund and it clearly was going awful. . I reached out to Jenny and she had the nerve to say that this is on the client and then accused me of harassing her as well as came up with a host of other lies/excuses as to why she didn't provide paid services as any normal business would. I highly suggest running from this lady. She agreed to a $100 refund 3 weeks ago and again has failed to hold up her end of the deal. Terrible business and customer service with a self serving unreliable owner who will sell you every sob story in the book for a dollar.

We were hesitant about hiring a dog walker/petsitter for occasional weekends away and also unsure if there was more we should be doing training-wise to handle Moose's fearfulness so it didn't turn into aggression. Jenni sat with Moose and I and we talked over this, and about what I was already doing with her training-wise. She gave us some tips for handling the barking at visitors, and how to prep moose on days when she would be walked by Peaceful Paws, but assured us we were on the right track and that additional Pro training wasn't necessary. I left the meeting feeling much more confident in our existing training practices, and we'll definitely be using Peaceful Paws for our next weekend outing!
