My husband and I recently adopted a 3 year old Labrador, Moose, from a rescue organization and discovered he was a sweety, but a not-so-well-trained bundle of energy. We were working with him on our own and in obedience classes, but our work schedules left him home alone quite a bit, so we were looking for something more, and it was Keen Paws! Moose has been going on "Pawscursions" (hiking adventures) with Jessica several times a week for about four months - he gets to run and play, but also learn some manners. His Pawscursions are documented with entertaining pictures and video, and early on I noticed in one of the videos how responsive he is to Jessica's very positive reinforcement, a strategy we have also adopted (except when he counter-surfed for the butter...). In the past four months, the difference we've seen in Moose is incredible. His leash-walking and off-leash recall skills have improved significantly, he is calmer (except when certain toys come out...) and he seems more secure and happier (his tail is constantly wagging). He absolutely loves Jessica and I feel very comfortable leaving him in her hands. Keen Paws is very professional and reliable, and Jessica is always willing to work with us to set up visits that fit everyone's schedule.
