It's in a new shopping center they have recently built to the right of Walmart. There's some other stores too like Ross in this shopping center. This is a brand new Petco that probably has been here less than a year . They have pet training here as it is located in the middle of the store. There are walls built around this area for securing a space for this. I also saw a pet grooming area to the right as you walk in. It is behind some plate glass windows. You can get a loyalty card here which you can save money on shopping here. It's good at all Petcos and is free. So be sure to get a loyalty card. Of course you can adopt a pet here. I have seen some pretty dogs and cats to be rescued at Petcos. You can see dogs and cats usually on the weekends here that are brought in by animal shelters. read more

Let me explain. I have been an avid petco lover and promoter for years. I have always bought my critters there and I take my husky about every month and a half to get a bath. I go in about 3 times a week. Well when I first got my husky I knew I wanted to get her groomed at petco. Well for the last 9 months I have consistently got her groomed there. The people were always nice and loving and knew my dog by name. They told me that there is no need to make appointments during the week and walking in is fine. I have ALWAYS AND I REPEAT ALWAYS PAID 25 dollars to have her groomed! I have even told people to go to petco and get their pets groomed. Well I walk into day and this Snot nose girl which I've never seen told me it was going to be $48 For the grooming. ALMOST DOUBLE!!!!!!! I told the lady nicely I have never paid that much and she wanted to argue with me saying it must have been a special... a special for 9 months in a row and then you double the price on me. boorish!!! I then went out to speak with someone on the floor and they went and checked and said I had to wait for a different person and I would have to make an appointment. So now because they gave me false information I have loaded my dog In the car drove her all the way down here where I was going to drop her off and go to work. Well now I can't because they basically held me hostage.... pay double ... or drive all the way back home and be late for work... This company went from being my favorite place... to the worst... I will boycott your gauging company and I surely hope you have a conversation with the. Black haired goth girl that wanted to talk to me like I was a moron. Listen carefully. I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR IN YOUR STORE AND I WILL MAKE IT MY MISSION TO MAKE OTHERS DO THE SAME ! I've recommended so many people to here and now I look like the bad guy when they come here and they are inconsistent with what ever price system they have! read more

Just walked out of store, was gonna buy some salt water fish. I ask cashier for someone, waited about 20 minutes. No one came. I seen about 5 workers and not one offered to help. Might be better off anyway, half the tanks were empty and most of them had at least 5 dead fish if not more in each tank. Hope you enjoy your lunch cashier. You seemed more worried about friends coming to visit then you did customers waiting for help. To bad petsmart or pet supermarket don't come to town and shut them down. So I decided to give them another shot.....well, also because the dog treats I Bought at my last visit caused digestive problems.... So, since I had lost the receipt and had gotten rid of the box, I figured I was out of luck.... NOPE! They took good care of me! And even though the cash register went down and it took forever, I still appreciated the $44.00 refund....that is a lot of money to me when my dog couldn't eat them anymore. I shop at a lot of Petcos and this one has steadily dipped to last resort status because of poor customer service. Tonight at 6:30 pm there were not an abundance of customers in the store and the clerk playing in the lizard cages with the crickets, literally letting them wander around on her hands, said she would get the $50 in fish I was going to buy "as soon as I get done." Twenty minutes later after she was no where to be found I left, noticing another male clerk in the parking lot chatting away with a customer as I returned to my car. It is the only commercial retail location within 45 minutes of my home that carries fish, unfortunately, but that will be the last time I shop there. read more

Id like to say since we've had our pit we have had an account with petco and petsmart do get discounts. This has been almost three years now. And since petco opened up right down the road I've been going to petco more often. Each time I question myself on why I give this place my money. First time tried to buy a snake I was denied which okay refuse service whatever but not to a person that is a highly highly loving person to animals. (I have three dogs,two cats,two ferrets, a guinea pig, a snake, and a Betta fish.) My animals are all well taken cared of. So I went to petsmart and got my husband his snake he wanted that's okay petsmart (by Hamilton Place mall) got the 400$ instead of petco(Fort Oglethorpe) second I went in and asked for evo cat food for my ferret. The guy took me to the ferret section and said here you go. I said no evo cat food he said this is all we have for ferrets idk. Okay so obviously they don't know much about ferrets but when the ferret rescue in Atlanta that I go to and adopt from tells me to get it for my ferret that is refusing to eat. Yes it's okay and I expected you to help me with this purchase. So I bought the second option of zumpree(I believe is what it's called). And then this is what has brought me to make my review. Not that petco will acknowledge this or anyone will read it I only hope people do!! But we went into petco yesterday and there was three ferrets. The first thing that caught our eye there was the wrong kind of cage showed on top of the ferrets for them to live in. Then I noticed they have the wrong kind of water bottles. Ferrets do not really drink from the drip water bottles those are more for large rodents. Ferrets drink from bowls!!! Then we noticed there hide of was flipped upside down they had no litter what so every and dirty bowls in their glass bow "cage". They are not well taken care of and are clearly taken care of by people that do not know anything about ferrets!! I also took pictures of this to have proff. I hope that the managers realize this and get new employees or either come under new management. Because this isNOT how these fur babies should live! Tons of dead fish in their tanks( I was to scared to purchase a new fish from this petco). There was an iguana that was obviously stuck hanging to scared to get down or just really stuck and the guy working there even laughed with us and then he said he's been like that for an hour and that made me stop laughing. Like HELP THE POOR BABY. WILL NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE OR BUY ANY OTHER ANIMALS FROM HERE. Glad my ferrets didn't come from here and came from a rescue that truly cares for this animal. read more

DON'T USE FOR GROOMING! Toy poodle suffered bad clipper burn which resulted in over $100 in vet bills and meds which they wouldn't reimburse for. All I got from Petco was an apology which is not acceptable. read more

Every time I get a dang fish from here they die. They are extremely rude , they never have enough fish, and they won't let me get a refund. Today I called and asked what to do about the fish that is dying as we speak it can't breathe and is trying so hard to live and they hung up the phone one me. Terrible service read more

Most horrible experience ever. No one knew anything about any kind of pets. I purchased somethings and used coupons at the end of the transaction they still said I owed money then I paid another $6 dollars then they said I owed more money after I told them this didn't sound right and just wanted a refund she said she processed it but she said she didn't have proof of the refund no receipt or anything. Then proceed to tell me it was going to take 2 weeks to get my refund. I asked 4 employees to get a receipt and no one knew how or what to do. So now I am waiting for my refund not knowing if she processed it right or not. Never going back and not recommending for anyone!!!! read more
