It was a combination of foul water and a diaper smell. Perhaps the fish tanks and pet stations need a cleaning? We came in search of harnesses. They had a good variety. The prices were a bit high, and the displays were a bit disheveled. A lot of the harnesses we became fond of, unfortunately, were out of stock in the size we needed. We then went to look at the treats aisle and noticed a handful of dog food bags that were on the bottom shelves had an accumulation of dried urine on them. Just something to note and advise to perhaps not purchase any items from any bottom shelf. In our entire visit, we also noticed no one greeted us, asked if we needed assistance, etc. We ended up leaving and headed to the Petco just down the road and had a much better experience there.

We walked in and first noticed no foul odors and then were quickly greeted by a friendly staff member. We came in looking for harnesses. Their merchandise is well stocked with organized, clean, and cute displays. They have a good selection of harnesses, leads, collars, and flotation vests for dogs. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a good clearance section too. While walking around the store, we stopped by the small animals for sale. Happily, they all looked healthy. We appreciate how clean and tidy this store was kept as well as how friendly and helpful the staff were. We'll definitely return to this Petco for any future needs for our dog if we can't find it first from a mom and pop store and need the selection. Highly recommend.

As I type this at 12:30 AM, all I can hear is the sound of those poor dogs barking almost all night, starting around 9 or 10 PM and lasting until about 5 AM. As soon as you walk in, you can tell that the place is not taken care of. Things are falling apart, broken. Also it has an overwhelming stench of urine. I understand when you have an establishment filled with animals, there will be accidents but this was brought to another level. The dog kennels are small and dark, and the outside area allows for almost no room to move except just to pace. I inquired about scheduled play times with other dogs in which I was told there were none. You do have the option to pay an additional fee for someone to play with your dog one-on-one only once a day. It was very upsetting just thinking of bringing my dog here.

They are less expensive than most kennels and don't have the fancy cameras and air conditioned cages, but have options to bathe and/or groom before pick up. I liked that. I boarded my two dogs here from Thursday, March 16th until Wednesday, March 22nd. I came first…read morething in the morning to pick them up and was told they were not ready, that they needed to be washed because they were dirty. I thought that was odd and maybe they just stunk from playing with other dogs. However, when I picked them up two hours later I was told they had to be washed because they were covered in feces. The girl who worked there asked if they had ever been boarded before because they seemed to have some issues. I recently moved here from out of state and have to go back home constantly, my dogs are boarding around every two months (I usually go to a different company whom was booked this time)! She said they didn't seem to like the crate...which it was my understanding when I booked it that they wouldn't be in a crate. My real concern is that my 11 year old Golden Retriever was sent home with poop matted to his stomach, neck and butt. He spent all day yesterday constipated and having stomach issues. He was up four times in the middle of the night as well. I had to pay a groomer to shave his fur off and give him a good bath as well as bring him to the vet in the AM to make sure his butt is not infected. Based on what the groomer said, she thinks they were just left in crates and had to sit in their own filth! The girls at the counter were friendly and I feel bad writing a bad review but when I pay for my dogs to be taken care of, I don't expect to pick them up and wonder what happened while they were there. My dogs are like my children and I would definitely not recommend boarding your dog there as I wish I hadn't!! JULY UPDATE: I called on two separate occasions to speak to the owner and left a message and never heard back.
