Just found Southern Pro Kennel and had the opportunity to use their dog boarding services. My 10…read moremonth old, 60lb, puppy Bolt stayed with them for 9 nights while the family was traveling. We are doing the month long training program in July so I had spoken with them and was familiar with Parker and Haley. They were not annoyed by any of my questions and Parker was very helpful in correcting some troublesome behaviors before we had Bolt stay with them. She came back leaner and with a shinier coat than when we dropped her off. I'll be posting another update once we do the month long board and train program, but I can say they are very affordable. While $1500 is no small fee, most other board and train programs are that or more for only 2 weeks!! Bolt is a Great Pyrennes mix so she has quite the independent streak but we'll see what magic Parker and Haley can work in July. I cannot say enough about Southern Pro Kennel. Their location is convenient to downtown but far enough out that they have a large amount of land to work with the dogs on. Look for my updated review and if you need dog training/boarding look at Southern Pro Kennel.

This is a brand new Petco that probably has been here less than a year . They have pet training here as it is located in the middle of the store. There are walls built around this area for securing a space for this. I also saw a pet grooming area to the right as you walk in. It is behind some plate glass windows. You can get a loyalty card here which you can save money on shopping here. It's good at all Petcos and is free. So be sure to get a loyalty card. Of course you can adopt a pet here. I have seen some pretty dogs and cats to be rescued at Petcos. You can see dogs and cats usually on the weekends here that are brought in by animal shelters.

So now because they gave me false information I have loaded my dog In the car drove her all the way down here where I was going to drop her off and go to work. Well now I can't because they basically held me hostage.... pay double ... or drive all the way back home and be late for work... This company went from being my favorite place... to the worst... The prices were a bit high, and the displays were a bit disheveled. A lot of the harnesses we became fond of, unfortunately, were out of stock in the size we needed. We then went to look at the treats aisle and noticed a handful of dog food bags that were on the bottom shelves had an accumulation of dried urine on them. Just something to note and advise to perhaps not purchase any items from any bottom shelf. In our entire visit, we also noticed no one greeted us, asked if we needed assistance, etc. We ended up leaving and headed to the Petco just down the road and had a much better experience there.

As I type this at 12:30 AM, all I can hear is the sound of those poor dogs barking almost all night, starting around 9 or 10 PM and lasting until about 5 AM. If I had any pets, I would definitely not be sending them there.

The new staff seemed somewhat friendly, the manager was nice. However, we asked twice - two different days to please Clip our dog nails. They never did, but charged us. They separated our dogs at one point, which made our Vishlas anxiety go up the roof because they are Velcro dogs, she's a Velcro to her brother River. Anywho, I called them to let them know I wasn't impressed. After getting hung up twice then placed on hold for a total of 17 minutes, the lady just said OK and hung up after I let her know our animals will no longer be attending. After spending probably 25k over the past 2-3 years.. one were to assume that regulars are treated a bit better. I miss the old staff
