Dakota trained on sit, down, stay, long stay, recall, hop, and obstacle work--and the progress was immediate and impressive. She quickly became more focused, responsive, and engaged in everyday life. The biggest change was her recall and impulse control. Even with distractions, she now returns reliably, stays calm under pressure, and thinks through tasks instead of reacting. Walks and daily routines are completely different in the best way. The trainer was exceptional--patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in Dakota as an individual. It never felt generic; it felt personalized and intentional, which built a lot of trust. We also left with clear, practical tools to maintain her progress, which has been just as valuable as the training itself. Good Citizen K9 exceeded our expectations. Just found Southern Pro Kennel and had the opportunity to use their dog boarding services. My 10…read moremonth old, 60lb, puppy Bolt stayed with them for 9 nights while the family was traveling. We are doing the month long training program in July so I had spoken with them and was familiar with Parker and Haley. They were not annoyed by any of my questions and Parker was very helpful in correcting some troublesome behaviors before we had Bolt stay with them. She came back leaner and with a shinier coat than when we dropped her off. I'll be posting another update once we do the month long board and train program, but I can say they are very affordable. While $1500 is no small fee, most other board and train programs are that or more for only 2 weeks!! Bolt is a Great Pyrennes mix so she has quite the independent streak but we'll see what magic Parker and Haley can work in July. I cannot say enough about Southern Pro Kennel. Their location is convenient to downtown but far enough out that they have a large amount of land to work with the dogs on. Look for my updated review and if you need dog training/boarding look at Southern Pro Kennel.
