I absolutely love this store! Nooga Paws is a great place for your pets needs. They carry a wide selection of pet products from harnesses, toys, treats, to a variety of dog foods, clothes and blankets, and grooming products. They even have an in-house bakery. If you're coming for cat products, you have some options, but not as much compared to the big chain stores. They even have a dog wash station! The self wash stations are available by appointment and also on a first come, first serve basis. The stations close at 6 pm Monday through Saturday and close at 4 pm on Sundays. Wash and dry time is limited to 30 minutes total per dog and costs about $15 per dog. Add on's (de-shed, for example) are available too. A rewards program is also offered in which you can obtain points and use them for a discount when a certain threshold in reached. Also, check their website for monthly promos, too! Lastly, we were also told they have two sister stores as well: Play Wash Pint (barks and brews) and Play Wash Stay (boarding and daycare). We look forward to checking out each one. Been having our food delivered from them for months now. Called to get it delivered and was informed they changed their delivery area and can no longer deliver to our home. Now that we have to shop somewhere else we have lost our bag count toward our free bag. Was told it was still on file, we just have to drive downtown to get. We live in Ooltewah. So we'll be shopping at Slobberbones which is so much closer. Lost a customer and didn't really seem to care. Shame. read more

As soon as we walked in the door, we were impressed by their wide selection of really fun dog toys. They had unique toys that you can't find in generic box-stores. They also have an in-house bakery. We got some of the fresh cookies and bones for our pup. It was also nice to see the full list of ingredients beside each of the handmade goodies. First time to use a business like this and it was easy! We had a reservation for 1130 and got there early. The staff took us to the room and explained everything to us. It took us a few minutes to get started and it was fun. Our dog really enjoyed the process! When we were done Miss Banksy took a minute or two and picked out a treat for herself. I'm currently on a road trip with my dog and this shop was so accommodating. About an hour into my Airbnb stay I noticed a tic on my leg. This sent me into a frenzy. The Airbnb host told me tics are common in Tennessee and my dog probably brought it in. Whether my dog brought it in or it was already in I don't know the answer to...but my plans of touristing were now thrown out the window and I was in need of a bath for my dog and products. I found Nooga Paws on yelp and raced over. They have a big parking area in the complex. The gal at the counter was so helpful. She explained the dog wash station to me and told me they had a specific shampoo for flea and tics that will kill tics on contact. I liked that the wash station was in a private room. After the wash I noticed there were aprons. Wish I would have noticed that before. I also bought some non chemical spray for tics. Apparently it's safe to spray on furniture and your dog. After the bath my dog was rewarded with some treats and a chew stick. read more

Three cheers to the wonderful team mates working here! My older cat started to develop stomach issues. After a trip to the vet and a clean bill of health we came into this store for help. Our vet wanted to give him medication to stop the diarrhea. A team member suggested we try putting organic pumpkin into his food instead of pumping him with pills. I never would have thought of that! He eats his food mixed with the pumpkin and we don't have the struggle of trying to pill him every day. If not for Nooga Paws our life would be more stressful! And we wants to pill a cat?! I would definitely give 10 stars if I could! There are so many reasons that I (and my doggie) love this place! It's local, super friendly staff, clean, neatly organized store that's easy to browse with your furry friend. Since it's my doggie's fave dog friendly store, we usually stop in about once a week, just to check out what's new and a couple snacks for her. She literally seeks out this store when we are in the area. Since it's local, I often find hard to get items you don't see in other pet stores, such as pet supplements and unique toys. They offer a great selection of super healthy foods and snacks for the pups. The employees are always super sweet to all the furry visitors and usually greet my little one with a small treat. They are really helpful and knowledgeable about their products and are happy to help you make a selection that is right for your pet. I've been a customer since I fostered then adopted my dog, and they have helped and advised me through numerous issues I had while I was getting her settled in her new home. I recently had an awful experience while hiking resulting in a smelly, gross dog, and she needed an immediate bath so luckily I was able to take advantage of the self wash area. It literally was a lifesaver! They supply everything (even aprons for you!) and my dog who usually freaks out during bath time, found the warm water and bath area to be enjoyable. They take care of clean up after, so that's a bonus for me as that's usually my least fave chore. They even keep up with your purchases in their computer system by last name, which is awesome not to have to keep up with another card for future rewards. They have a great return policy, which helps me avoid hesitation when trying out new products. You will obviously find a bigger variety and some cheaper prices at chain stores such as petco or petsmart but when I need something special for my little one (and don't we all buy the best for our fur babies?!) , I always head here first and I appreciate the individualized assistance. read more

Tried this place for the first time today for my fur gal. As an older pup, she needs some joint and bone support. I was nearby doing a grocery curbside pickup so I looked on the Nooga Paws website. On their site, I found some natural treat supplements that contained both glucosamine and collagen. Then my Nooga Paws curbside pickup order was ready within about 5 minutes of placing my order! After a dirty day at the dog park I knew my puppers, Owney, needed a bath. I went in and asked for one of the do-it-yourself dog wash stations. Caitlin helped get me set up and off we went. It was great not having to bend over a tub. I love that they supply the soap/shampoo and that they offer different varieties. My dog tolerated it. LOL. The dryer is especially great and got him nice and dry. I will say it was a bit stuffy in there after all that heat. It might be a bit uncomfortable in the summer. We then looked around the store and I bought a couple of bones and bully sticks. The price for the dog wash is more than reasonable and saves me from having to clean up afterwards. They do all that for you. Caitlin was super friendly and very helpful and you can tell she loves animals. Definitely will try it out again. read more

We used their self-service washing stations, and they're awesome! We have two medium-sized dogs, and getting them in the tub is a disaster. One of them has always been very skiddish around other humans (we think she may have been abused before we rescued her), so having her groomed is not easy. The $15 charge includes use of the sink, blow dryer, and shampoo and conditioner' they had a few different types of shampoo to choose from, including some hypoallergenic shampoo which is great for our pup with sensitive skin. They have plenty of options for treats to get your pup after they've been so good in the bath! The employee who helped us was so sweet, and was so kind to us when one of our dogs had an accident in the floor (we're still sorry about that!). We highly recommend NoogaPaws! read more

The staff at Nooga Paws is amazing and knowledgeable about the products offered. The store stocks first rate human grade food for pets not found at any other pet stores in Chattanooga. They also offer grain inclusive and grain free products depending on whichever you prefer. They are a tad pricey but that is to be expected for the specialty foods exclusive to their store. This is one of my favorite pet stores, by far. The staff is always so friendly, courteous, and helpful every time I visit. I never have used their grooming services; I go here to get my pup's food because of the wide selection of natural and just good, solid pet food they have. Just an FYI, I noticed that they have a larger selection of dog products than cat products, which I am fine with. This does not mean that their quality of cat products is not great, though! Nooga Paws is one of those locally-owned businesses that makes Chattanooga great. Ask for the owner, Bob, and you can see he's passionate about nutrition for our pets. I didn't really understand anything about dog food a few years ago, but a quick discussion with Bob and it all makes great sense. They have a great selection of treats, the water additive that my dog needs to keep his teeth clean, and of course a food selection so you can get exactly what you want/need. Bob actually steered me to a cheaper food than what I was using previously and he explained that it was every bit as good. I use Taste of the Wild now, and each blend is formulated so that you can rotate every time you buy a bag. With a greyhound that's not driven by food (half the time you have to coax him to come eat) it's helpful to have some new taste every time. Chase loves the wild boar, salmon, and waterfowl especially. Nooga Paws also has a freezer with dog bones. You will definitely make your dog's day if you bring home anything from the little stand-up freezer. They also have these big sticks that look like giant beef jerky... you don't what to know what they are, but the dogs will love them. read more

What can I say... great retail items. Not so great about completing my Shih Tzu groom. After having her there for her appointment on time, they hadn't started on her 2 1/2 hours later. I guess the mystery Katie ( I never saw her and she never came to speak to me) over booked herself or ?... An hour later, was called to come get her since she freaked out and They couldn't complete her. She of course had to per and poop. Bob and his staff provide the fantastic customer service that is sadly fading away in many businesses. We were politely greeted at the door and allowed to shop at our own pace. In talking to Bob, he knows the background and design rational of all the products so he was able to direct us to what we were needing. He is fun to talk to and enjoys meeting all the dogs that come through. There is also a self serve dog wash in the store which looks to be very convenient. First off.. we were not looking for a pet store when we came across Nooga Paws. We were checking out all the new growth in the North Shore area. We decided to stop in Nooga Paws pet store and we are very glad we did! It is a locally owned, natural pet store. Its clean and packed full with products that are actually "good" for your pets. The staff is beyond knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We now have a new pet store in Chattanooga that we will be going to from now on... Nooga Paws is the perfect store for any animal lover - well, dogs and cats. The store has every basic you could need for your pet and if they do not carry a brand you need they are happy to order it. One of my favorite things is how well educated the staff is on their products. I bought a gentle leader for my puppy and was having trouble putting it on him. I brought the leader and the puppy in and the staff fawned all over him (which he loved), gave him treats and taught me how to use the leader. I honestly think how friendly the staff is helped socialize my dog at an early age. You can expect your pet to make their Instagram too if you bring them in for a visit! One of the best things here would be the washing stations. They have two rooms that you can bring your animal in to wash. The store provides brushes, shampoo, conditioner, towels and blow dryers. Best pet shop in town. Has decent selection of high quality pet foods and literally no garbage pet products. I started frequenting this shop because my two larger dogs moved back to Chatt in the middle of fall- meaning "to cold for outside baths". The earthbath products they have in the self-bathers have been a game changer. These mongrels smell amazing afterwards and their coats are so soft. Even though its warmer im not sure that i wont keep bringing them here fir their bath routines. Ive had my pets on raw diets and despite being too expensive to carry on right now; Nooga Paws has a decent amount of raw/paleo pet food items. They still get raw bones- the only place that carries them consistently; raw milk-super necessary for rebuilding my boy's gut after over-Vx and frequent antiBx. Will also mention, the PintPlayWash in Southside(main st) is shares management; although my pets were not able to enter playground for lapsed Vx; totally understandable but not gonna re-Vx them for that). However i was still able to wash them and grabbed a lint at the same time. I dont know if they offer pro-nail clippings and filings but but if so; that'd be awesome since my fur nerds will legit fun away if i try to clip their nails. read more

I absolutely love this place. I live in Atlanta but one of my best friends lives in Chattanooga. While he was at work I figured I would surprise him and bathe my German Shepherd and his boston/beagle/weiner dog mix. Atlanta has similar locally owned places but even the big city of Atlanta can't compete with this awesome store. The staff was very friendly and helpful and explained how the service worked. $15 per dog but if you bathe both within the hour time limit, you get $5 discounted off. They offer 6 different shampoos for you to use which is way different from the ones in Atlanta because they offer just a standard one. They also have a door on the room and it's enclosed so I played music on my iPhone while I bathed them so it was exciting for myself and the dogs. They offer towels and a bad ass (can I say that on here?) dryer which you can actually see it lifting the water from the fur while the air is being blasted. The store offers lots of treats and different products for cats and dogs and I got the two pups some jerky and Thanksgiving cookies. I bathed my dog at the self serve wash I have here in Atlanta a few days ago and I kept thinking how much it sucked to the place in Chattanooga. I'm going to my friends this Thanksgiving and I already told him I plan on stopping by Nooga Paws, that's how much I love this place because of value and convenience. I used their self wash today. It was clean and well stocked (four types of shampoo, a conditioner and plenty of towels) and the level of customer service was exemplary. They provide individual rooms that are ventilated that have both a gate and a door. There was a dryer and even toenail clippers and scissors. Plus an apron for the person doing the wash. In addition the store is well stocked and they offer several unique treats. This is so much better than any of the other self wash services we've used, to say nothing about washing him at home. All this for only fifteen bucks! We will definitely be back. read more

Brought our 45 pound dog to the self-clean today. Love that they have everything you need to bathe your dog in their large sink! Keep in mind you will need to lift your dog a bit to get him/her in. They have a variety of options for shampoos in the room ready to go. The water temp changes a bit as your bathing, so be careful to watch the water. The dryer works okay...but it is a tad bit noisy if you have a pooch that is fearful of those kinds of noises. Staff is super nice! read more

This place is AMAZING! I found them while visiting a friend in Chattanooga and bought several presents for my pup at home, an extreme chewer. They pointed me to just the right things, and when I got home, my puppy loved one toy so much that she hid it somewhere neither of us could find. When I called Nooga Paws, a woman went through the store and gave me things to google until we found the right one.. even though they don't have a mail order business, so they had nothing to gain from helping me. Brought my dog there a couple weeks ago to get groomed. 3 hours passed no phone call so I gave them a call to see what was going on and they said I could come get him because he'd been finished. I get home and it looks like nothing had been done except maybe a brushing. Ended up having to bring him back that some day, his face was still dirty and smelt like that hadn't washed it. They trimmed it up a little bit but still didn't look like how I described. The girl at the front told me "if they don't know how to cut them they will just look in a book." Wish they had just told me they weren't comfortable doing him so I wouldn't have to waste extra money to get him done twice in just a month. The workers are nice and the store has a lot of supplies but would not return for the grooming center. read more

Love the location and the idea. They messed up a simple order that we needed, which would typically be no big deal, but then this happened: when I called to try and retrieve our reordered product near closing time, a dismissive, unhelpful attitude from an employee leaves me asking, "Is this an anomaly or is this their standard?" I hope the former. I'm a small business owner, and while the customer isn't always right (I'm fine to be told no in a gracious way) I don't think they need to be treated poorly. PetCo has you guys beat hear. I think you want to do a little better. read more

Nooga Paws is as good as it gets. The service is outstanding, the store clean and it is full of all the best dog and cat supplies. My dog knows where she is as we pull into the parking lot, excited to get to explore her favorite store.
