Scheduled my dog for a grooming appointment . I was 15 minutes early, knocked several times, I was standing outside calling and no one would pick up the phone or open the door. Then finally an employee opened the door. My dog was fine until she tried putting on the leash , he barked. Mind you, it is our first time there but my dog has been going to the groomers for the last 4 years and never had any issues. I would say maybe 1 minute went by when the groomer female employee decided to refuse service. Didn't even try to make him comfortable or tried a different method. Just simply refused him. This was my first time at Petco and it will for sure be my last. read more

I walked in and started looking for a collar for my dog, asked the worker he helped me then I went to the cashier, asked if she had any other colors. She was rude and asked me to pick whatever color that she had there so I didn't buy anything and walked out because she had a major attitude with me. But I did not get her name. read more

Was just at Petco in a frantic because my puppy is sick from his tummy! As a new mom I wasn't sure exactly what to do, I received help today from "Jay" at this store and I am soooo COMPLETELY GRATEFUL for his asesorando l assistance!!! Jay was so kind in explaining options to me from personal experience and he was just THE BEST!!!!! Thank you!!!! read more

I walked in and saw the cashier ( lady with blondish hair middle aged, do not get her name, working morning of Dec 8 ) asked if she could help me find an ointment to sooth wounds for CATS but took me to the dog section. And when I asked if it was safe for cats she said yes. Which did not sit right with me. I walked over to the cat section and found the product I was looking for. Once I was ready to check out, she was very rude! read more

here it is, another week since i posted my last review. i was able to speak with petco customer service once and have not heard from them since. neither have i received an answer regarding which vaccines my cat was given during his initial visit on 4/23. please, if you love your pets, do not use petco mobile vaccine clinic. these people are unorganized and incompetent!!!!! additionally, if you do encounter any problem with petco, don't bother contacting cusstomer service. this dept is just as bad. they too are incompetent and worthless and have no means of helping you obtain a resolution to your issue. this company needs to be put out of business!!!! please -- if you love your pets, just find a competent vet at an established clinic elsewhere!!!! read more

Apprehensive for a first time Vet experience with a 3 month old kitten I inherited, Dr. Voltz and staff made the experience warm and accommodating. Front desk: super friendly and wanting to listen. I wasn't just another number walking in the door. Knew my kittens name due to the appointment and partook in small talk with me and my obviously nervous kitten. Dr Voltz and Emily were extremely warm and accommodating. Won't go anywhere else now. Thank you. read more

If I could give more stars I would. I want to say thank you to Krystin I hope I spelled her name right but she's in the fish department and has glasses with blonde hair. SUPER HELPFUL she helped me upgrade a tank and find a snail friend for my betta as well as a good filter and leaf bed and platy fish friend. She was being pulled in all kinds of directions by different customers but she was super helpful and patient and just very informative. Answered all my questions! Thank you Krystin!! read more

Came in because I needed some questions answered. Shannen and Brittanney were so knowledgeable and helpful. The veterinarian recommended Just food for dogs. My chihuahua is overweight. Brittinney has her cat on the exact brand of food. She showed me photos. I was amazed. Within 3 days her cat had lost weight and her fur was shinier. Shannen had helped us first. She left us to get Brittinney because she had more knowledge of the product. Shannen said she needed to increase her knowledge because she too was putting her animal on the same food. I loved that they both took the time to answer my questions and guide me to the right purchase for Foxannes needs. I have put a before photo on this review. Now we wait. I will post an after photo in a few days These girls are amazing and i will be back. Quick and amazing service read more

Much like other reviewers, customer service (both blondes without name tags) specifically at checkout were extremely rude. We were waiting in line hoping we didn't get one lady specifically but we did. No greeting, no eye contact, just asked for the phone number and if we wanted a bag. Rudely grabbed our items and threw them in a bag. I didn't take it personal because she even gave her fellow employee in the grooming department attitude for not helping checkout even tho she was scheduled to be off in 5mins. This is my closest pet store but we will gladly drive the extra 10mins to PetSmart on Summit. read more

petco grooming:: Its been a couple years since i took my dog to get groomed at my nearby petco in moreno valley. When I moved to SB I needed to get him groomed really bad. Ive been coming here for 3-ish months now and im sooooo pleased with their service. Cynthia is soooo kind and patient with Remy !! I also brought in his sister last month for her first groom with Lynette, and she was amazing as well!!! i love them both so much and im so glad for the amazing care they both give to Remy and Ellie read more

Gabriel who I assume is the key holder or shift manager and the younger Hispanic kid with the sacrilegious piercing in his ear were of no help. They refused to sell us medically necessary food for our obviously injured animal. Saying we need a prescription from petco pharmacy on top of the prescription from our veterinarian. I'm looking into legal action on this. As I'm pretty sure it's illegal to deny an in stock medication to someone who has a prescription for that medication. read more

Terrible customer services! This petco has very bad services. The woman Sam, as the person Ren told she is the manager there , I believe she lied. who knows, very rude to the customer. The other customers came later than me, I just went to my car and to get the dog vaccinated paper and came back want to just show the Viccinte certificate paper, but she let me waited in line again twice. So bad and rude Sam she is, the service here super bad, no wondering so many bad reviews, do not come here again! read more

I hate coming to petco. Today my reason is because they price match but not with other stores. They only price match with the ONLINE PETCO WEBSITE!! Like wtf!???? How are their prices in store not the same as online. ASSHOLES. I don't want a reason. I know it's not the employees fault. The owner sucks! And! We couldn't even get help in the fish department. All we wanted were little ghost shrimp. Smh. They don't have enough employees? Looks like they don't treat them right or something. They look so sad and not interested in helping. On top of that, they try to help house cats that these people breed at home. Theyre not foster parents they're all family and friends with unfixed cats. And they charge 150$ plus when you can adopt an actual homeless pet for 24-65$ and they will get fixed before you get them. These people make their living this way and I can't believe Petco helps them. Freakin ridiculous. The old woman in charge told me herself. Thats not right at all. SMH. read more

Went in to buy a plecostomus for my 10 gallon tank. The employee refused to sell me one! I have 2 Molly's in there now that have been in there for over a year. The lady tried telling me that my 10 gallon tank is too small for my Molly's as Molly's grow over 5", which is not true. Molly's usually get around 4". The Molly's I have Are around 2" and I don't think they're going to get any bigger being that they are over 1 year old. I called again to let someone know what happened, and she told me the same thing. If these people are going to be selling fish, they need to know what they're talking about. read more

The employees here are rude and short when asked a question. This is the second time i had this experience at the same store. The cashier at 6:30pm on Friday 9/20 (with Reddish hair and tattoos on her arm) needs a new job because she clearly dislikes customer service. Attn Petco: please do not reply to this post with a generic "We are sorry you had a bad experience..." Just address the bad attitudes, please! Sincerely, New Petsmart shopper. read more

I know I shouldn't put my mistake on Petco, but I thought they would have helped me. I am a frequent customer. I ran out of gas and I forgot my phone at home both of which are my fault. No public phones anymore. What's a person to do? Well, I explained my problem to a Petco employee and I ask if I could please use their phone to call my husband for help. Well, she told me no they don't allow people to use their phone. There I stood with my dog Bucky shocked at the answer. Wow! I had planned to shop there, but I ran out of gas. My pup needed his nails trimmed and we usually get the mini makeover which is walk in only service. Due to Covid I figured I would call first to see if it's still considered walk in or if we need an appointment. I started calling the grooming line at 8:30am. I called 8-9 more times between 8:30am-11am and no one answered the phone. I finally called the actual store (in store pick up line) because that is the only way to get through to the store. A lady answered and I asked her if grooming is closed and she said no but they are busy. I get they are busy but to never answer your phone? At one point I called the line 5 times in a row and still no one answered. I told her that I've been trying to call all day and she said she would transfer me over to grooming. Before the lady could put the phone on hold to transfer I heard her grunt and huff. I clearly inconvenienced her or else she was having the worst day. I don't know what's going on at this location or if they are just so understaffed but it's unacceptable for someone to be rude on the phone. At least wait until you are on hold to voice your frustration. FYI: you need an appointment for EVERYTHING for grooming whether it's nail trimming or grooming due to COVID. Once you actually get transferred over to grooming they would be happy to set up an appointment for you over the phone. read more

Worse grooming. Never coming back. Two months trying to come to get my dog cleaned. Last month my husband brought her and again not seen. Today I brought her and the groomer just said. She comes back stating that she is to nervous that she needs to be sedated! She did not even try to brush her to se how she will do. I just left and will make a complaint to corporate. read more

I took my husky to be groomed on Friday. They said since I gave her a calming treat they couldn't not serve her. I probably should not have told them. I asked how long do I have to wait. They scheduled me for Sunday at 1:30. Next thing I get a text saying they were canceling my appointment because I hadn't confirmed it? I'm like when was I supposed to confirm if I just left telling them I would see them in Sunday. I try to confirm and accidentally hit the 2 to cancel instead of the 1 to confirm. It was a nightmare trying to clear that up. Online there is no one to confirm with when you call there's no one to confirm with. Finally on Saturday afternoon I was able to speak with someone for them to tell me my 1:30 wasn't really an appointment. I:00 was the last one of the day, they scheduled me for 1:30 to fit me in. Ohmygoodness! I show up in Sunday at 1:30 to find in extremely crowded, there were 3 crates right inside the door full of kittens people were trying to get rid of. My dog was frightened by all the people, dogs and kittens and the noise. The technician come out and says my dog is "nippy". She doesn't think she can service her. WTHeck!!! Then I get this text saying I canceled the appointment. So what happens now!!!!! My dog doesn't get groomed! Where should I go for service!! What a bunch of unprofessional people. read more

I asked reason and I was told there was some misunderstanding each other from last groomer. I looked back few months ago only I asked the groomer why there was a fee $6.99 plus tax, he told me dog shampoos he used. You have two major retailers in the pet industry, one being Petsmart and the other Petco. Both have similar products and each have their unique brands only sold at their stores. Other than that, I love the selection of clothing for both cats and dogs, not to mention, they even have clothing for small animals ! There is also a great selection of reptiles to choose from. The store is small, and hard to figure out who's the staff if they're not wearing an apron. read more
