One thing I'm most thankful for this Thanksgiving is Sogand!! She is amazing. We didn't know what to do or who to turn to with our dog Clyde. He was usually good with people but super reactive with other dogs and animals. We got him as a puppy, he was always super high energy and reactive, even to animals on TV. We had to always try to walk him where there were no dogs or people. This past summer we went on vacation and our oldest son was watching him. He took Clyde on a walk when they saw another dog across the street, Clyde went crazy, started barking and lunging for the dog. My son got in front of him and Clyde ended up biting him several times. When we found out about the incident on vacation we had no idea what to do. We thought we had to give him up, it broke our hearts. Then I found Sogand when I was searching for trainers and options. Her reviews were great, but what sold us was our first conversation with her. We had talked to several other trainers during our initial search but no one gave us hope yet realistically assessed where Clyde was like Sogand. We were at the airport waiting to board our flight home. I'll never forget our first conversation with her. She patiently listened to us and then reassured us that Clyde was not a lost cause. She was direct and honest about her approach, and confidently said she could help Clyde. From our first session with her we knew we had made the right decision. She commanded obedience from Clyde like he had been her dog his whole life. Within 10 mins, she had him interacting with her dog and not going ballistic. This has never happened before. We have had to avoid other dogs all the time. In this first session she was able to assess several of Clyde's bad behavior and patterns and correct it. Because of the severity of his behavior and having bit our son so badly, she recommended we do the board and train for intense training. This was the best decision we ever made. Clyde came back a changed dog, and more importantly she trained us in how to train Clyde. With her help we have been able to keep up Clyde's training. We still meet with her for one on one sessions once a month to complete Clyde's trainings. The best result came yesterday at Thanksgiving, we had 22 guests and one other dog. I texted Sogand and she gave us guidance on how to handle the the event with Clyde. We followed her instructions and Clyde did amazing. People who have known Clyde said he was like a different dog. I can't recommends her enough! Her approach was just what we needed. She doesn't just train dogs, she becomes an integral part of the dog and owner's life and journey. Sogi was a miracle trainer to help my dog Dumpling get over his aggression issues towards other dogs and people. We chose her 2 week board and train - aggression rehabilitation service, after a week her and her staff noticed my dog still being very aggressive in protecting his food bowl and she extended his training another week (no extra charge!) so she could really focus on that aspect to make sure Dumpling's aggression was addressed. Wife and I also highly recommend her private sessions after the board and train. 2-3 weeks is definitely not enough time to make sure behavior issues are completely addressed, so her sessions helped make sure we properly did our daily trainings with Dumping. Her sessions also evolved the trainings we did at home as our dog's aggression level kept going down and focus on his high alert/anxiety responses to stimuli, and try to help him associate his dopamine response to being relaxed. She also helped identify a food allergy that made him itchy, which added to his higher anxiety level. All these things added up and now our dog is a lot happier and hasn't displayed a snarl or showed his teeth in anger to anyone or any dogs in months! My 1 year old GSD/Alaskan Malamute/Irish wolfound mix was sent to two weeks board and train for primarily her quarantine puppy issues. I had the pleasure of sending Latte to Sogan's sister Sara as Sogan was completely booked at her ranch. Sara had a lot more 1 on 1 time available and I believed it was substantially more beneficial for my insecure pup Latte. Latte began having really bad insecurity issues after her heat (she's now spayed) and I didn't know how to properly address it. I would previously pull her harness back when other dogs got close to her and there were times where she would change at other dogs because she felt they were dangerous. Well, after spending two weeks with Sara Latte had much more confidence in passing dogs and people. It's now my job to ensure all of the time and training put on Latte is continued to build her confidence. I'm very fortunate to have Sara explain to me that Sogan also helped Sara with some of Latte's socializing. They took her to the ranch and she played with all of Sogan's dogs and had sent videos regularly and when I requested. I really wished I recorded more of my follow up training so I could replicate. He was surprisingly well behaved when we first got him where we could walk him and take him places without much hesitation. If I could give 10 stars I would! I adopted Momo during the height of the pandemic. She is an extremely sweet, vocal, and very very feisty Shiba Inu. We noticed her behavior gradually getting worse and wanted to enroll her in training ASAP - she was very protective of my boyfriend and I and would often times bark nonstop at both humans and animals if they would look our way, and would even lunge at them. We found Heaven Sent K9 through Yelp and were pleased to see that Sogand has had experience with Shiba Inus. After having a consultation with her, we were pretty set on enrolling her in the 2 week board and train program -- we instantly knew that she would be in great hands. Though it was a rough 2 weeks without her (I cried the first day she was gone!), I was so incredibly shocked and pleased to see that she was still the same crazy cute Momo, but well trained! She was curious and playful with the other animals on Sogand's property, and even with her sister and her dog! Sogand gave us helpful training tips to continue her training. Since her training, Momo is doing unbelievably well with walks, meeting strangers, and even seeing other animals. Sending my 4 month old JRT to Sogand was the best decision I have made for him. Prior to sending him to training, my puppy was your typical trouble maker. He had a hard time learning basic commands, was not doing well with potty training and would bite constantly. I have had several dogs over my life, but my Jack Russell was the most difficult to train. I am afraid to admit that I even considered finding a new home due to my frustration with him. I knew I needed professional help and assistance with his training. After calling several training sites, I stumbled upon Heaven Sent and found Sogand. She was kind and attentive to every concern that I had. I decided to put Dusty through the 2 week board and train class. Sogand is the best! We sent our puppy, Biscuit, to board and train for 2 weeks. There was an obvious difference in behavior when he came back home. He was much more relaxed and better behaved than he normally was. Sogand provided us with the invaluable tools needed to continue maintaining the training through her private lesson after the board and train. She was incredibly thorough with her instructions, and has an enormous amount of knowledge in dog training and psychology and it really shows! Absolutely amazing! We rescued our doberman mix about a year ago- major anxiety and very low confidence. She was stubborn, resource guarded, not food driven and difficult to train. Harley is my life and I want her to live the best life she could possibly live meaning being able to take her places without worrying about a fight and just having fun. When Harley was 11 months old she was viciously attacked at the dog park which left her very traumatized. We had put her in a socialization training class every Thursday for almost a year but she ultimately got very comfortable with the trainers there and knew how to work her ways to get out of progressing. I really wanted her to learn to be more comfortable in a larger setting with multiple dogs without snapping or fighting. I heard about Sogand from a friend and decided to reach out to her. Within 15 mins of the consultation she was able to fix Harley's healing and assessed her behavior. I sent her off for 2 weeks with Sogand and could not believe the change. Her attitude towards dogs is slowly changing for the good and shes very excited to see dogs now. With that said, Sogand is not a magician that will fix your dog 100% and her training will not continue to work unless you continue it at home yourself. She sets the foundation and you have to build upon it. I take Harley out everyday for 45 mins to 1 hour to work on her heeling, stays, and if there are nice dogs we will work on greeting. Sogand genuinely cares for your dog and she continues to check in on Harley's progress. That is awesome because you know she is not here just to take your money but she wants you to succeed. "Heaven sent" is in the name for a reason! You'll be so happy to have your dog/puppy training needs done with them. I discovered them here through yelp and loved how they sounded from other reviews. Make sure to read their statements on their website to get a picture of what kind of trainers they are. I appreciated that they are not a treat-based and work on more than just basic obedience with you and your puppy. So my puppy (Momo) was a 4 month old shiba inu, which is notoriously a very stubborn breed to train and deal with. I saw that Heaven sent had successful experiences with shibas so that was a big plus. At home, I was trying out all the home training things with youtube videos and all sorts of article guides. But I could tell I still needed a lot more help--professional help. I was able to teach my dog sit and down just fine. But stay, eye contact, off, and loose leash walking? With a shiba puppy? I wanted to cry. So I called in and requested a consultation, which is essentially the first session. I booked with Sara, Sogand's sister, who learns all she knows from Sogand but is much more accessible to me due to distance. So come our first session, I learned very quickly that both Momo and I had a LOT of work to do. Sara is so nice, patient, and professional. The way she handled Momo, I knew I made the right choice in picking Heaven sent. She was knowledgeable about his breed and understood his mentality and she could see right through how I conducted training so far. She was honest while respectful of letting me know the corrections I should make to improve. After that session, I signed Momo up for board&train with Sara right away. This was in January 2021, and the training lasted two weeks. (By the way, their prices for their quality is so VERY competitive to others in OC.) It was tough being away from my puppy but he was in great hands with Sara. Video updates were sent as often as she was able to send, which usually was at least every other day. So not only did Momo get down all his basic obedience, he also learned how to socialize and Sara was able to work on a few behavioral issues that I brought up as well. He never lost his unique personality traits while going through the training. He still came out being the Momo I love while being better behaved. And for me, I now have a better foundation to continue training and raising him with. Although Momo and I didn't work with Sogand directly, it's as if she knows us too. Both Sogand and Sara are like your good friends following training. They aren't just here to do the bare minimum and get your money. They always give it their all and so much more. That's how much they are invested in both you and your pup's success. They follow mine and Momo's progress over social media and never hesitate to point out where I can make corrections or to give me thumbs up or hearts. I appreciate Heaven Sent so much and big thank you to Sara for the amazing time and effort she put in with Momo.
