I found some dog food, dog toys, a harness and leash, some treats, pet spray for odors and food bowls. Perfect! I got everything I needed! This store was clean and very organized. I was able to find things easily. Service was good too. They were friendly and helpful at finding things. I was happy with my experience overall at this location and would go back if I found myself in the area! P.S. They had a bin of toys that were buy 3, get 2 free deal. That's great!!! I had to go for the deal. lol The toys were Disney too! Sooooo cute! I grabbed the Lady and the Tramp toys.

When making the appointment over the phone they were efficient and were able to get us in the following day. Making the appointment was no issue. We dropped our girls off at 9am. We received a phone call at 11:40am that they were ready for pickup. Once we get there we paid and were waiting for them to bring our girls out. The first one they had brought out was our youngest. She has no history of aggression just a very hyper active husky. When she was brought out, my dad had noticed she had a red mark on her side. Upon further look she had a bald spot on her fur and her skin had been irritated. My dad pointed it out and everyone was looking around asking who had been taking care of Nala. Everyone was saying it was Kass, which upon further review on the receipt it was Kass C. Once we noticed the red spot they didn't know what had happened and told us they were taking her next door to their banfield vet to get it checked out. Now, our dog is very social and cries when she is not allowed to go near someone because she gets very excited. Once they had brought her out she was tugging and not wanting to be taken from our side. She kept tucking her tail between her legs anytime an individual would get near her. They took her in a room and in less than 5 minutes they come out saying they believe she already had inflammation on her side and the brushing and grooming had caused more irritation. Mind you, our dogs are mainly indoor and they did not have any skin concerns before being taken in. They had been asking if she had some type of scab or anything beforehand but again, there was no skin concerns when taking her in and she did not have a single bald spot on her body. Now I know mistakes happen and especially with a hyper active dog like ours, it can be difficult to complete the bath and brush. The only thing that truly disappointed me was the lack of communication. We had gotten the call that they were ready and NOTHING was said. We arrived to pick them up and again, nothing was brought up. Paid and waited for them to be brought out and NOTHING was mentioned. It had been my dad who noticed the red sore spot and told them about it and even then, Kass herself didn't mentioned anything or talked about it at all. We never saw her once throughout the whole situation. We weren't looking to argue, we just wanted some type of explanation or more details about how the incident occurred so we can know how to go about it. The fact that there was really nothing said about the incident was insane and disappointing considering we weren't present when it happened and we wanted to hear what went wrong. Overall not the best experience so be wary when picking up your babies and triple check them before leaving this place

Not no more one of the groomers dropped my dog causing his spleen to rupture . I asked if there are cameras in the grooming area the Store Mgr. said yes. I asked if we can review them she said I will review the footage and no you are not aloud to see the footage. I noticed the hair cut was taking along time over 3 hours on an appointment. Typically it doesnt take that long. When I arrived to pick him up he was lethargic curled up in a ball when he got home . He Wouldn't eat or drink water .( Brownie was his name) I called and asked the groomer what happened she was not giving me a straight answer and was very nervous. I asked if she dropped him or did something happened . She denied it . I took him to ER in riverside/ grand terrace . The doctor ran X-rays and an ultrasound . She showed me his spleen was ruptured. The ER Doctor asked if Brownie got into a dog fight or someone had to hit him hard or dropped him to cause this damage . Surgery wouldn't help. he was bleeding within his body and he is slowly degrading and he will suffer and pass in a day or so . The next day I took him to his vet doctor in Rialto . They looked at the reports and recommended to put him to sleep . We did just that with much pain . He was only 7 years old . His father Kappper wouldn't take dog walks no more and was directly affected by his passing . I had to drive my son out to have him walk home to get his exercise in and or my son would on carry him out a ways to have walk home in that manner . Kapper declinded to walk on his own. I talked to the store manager they refused to show me any footage again they refused to show me . I gave her my reports given to me by the Vet doctors. I asked for compensation my dogs pain and suffering , I asked for total amount i paid out of pocket. I got the call that they would pay the total cost of my dogs loss financially. 680.00 dollars for the medical fees . It wouldn't bring my dog back but it was the principle of it . I wouldn't take any of my future dogs there again. Since then I rescued two dogs from the pound and we cut our own dogs without Petcos assistance. I don't step foot in that place . I did notice the same groomer still works there . Never got a letter stating sorry or a call stating that . I got a check in the mail and that was it .

We've been going to that other "smart" store for over five years to have our dog's nails trimmed…read more Ever since, they've told us that we can just walk in and they will do the trim. The most we've ever had to wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. Today, was no different, walked in at 10:15a, let them know that we needed a nail trim, the associate said that the earliest they can get us in was not till 12 PM without an appointment. An appointment? I explained to them that in the five years we've been going to them for nail grinds (which is pretty frequent) we've never had to make an appointment. That's when she said that making appointment has always been in place. So, I walked out, came over to The Good Dog. The General Manager greeted us, even while working with another customer. Listening how he handled the other two customers in front of us (who appeared to be regulars) set the tone that this is a friendly place that we want to be a part of. You know, it's like "Cheers," you wanna go where everyone knows your name! Well, they were able to get us in right away. They advised we typically do not need to make an appointment for nail grind, but to simply call up to make sure they are not busy at the moment, otherwise can get in quickly. I think that's reasonable, fair enough AND smart! "Thanks, Good Dog!"

They offered medical wipes for my dog's injury and a complete re-grooming with a different groomer. I chose not to continue patronage, but the offer and continued open communication was very appreciated. Original Review: This is the first time I've been to this location and decided to go here due to the large number of good reviews. They were able to fit my appointment in very last minute, less than 24hrs notice, super friendly staff, and lots of merchandise. Also great cut options avaliable for someone new, trying to figure out what a new groomer can do with a new client. Asked them to brush his teeth and grind his nails, to which they accomplished (at least his breath smells better). With that said, I was told they would contact me 20 minutes before he's ready for pickup, they did not. They messaged me when he was done. No big deal. When I picked him up, immediately noticed the uneven cut job. As we're driving home, noticed A BUNCH of dirt left in his coat. Makes me question if they bathed him, and if they did, they didnt do a good thorough job. Also started to notice the uneven cut throughout his body, from his stomach where they left bunches of fur, to his back, which seemed as though they used two sizes for razors. They cut him (most likely by accident) but just reinforces my suspicion that they rushed through his entire "grooming". For the $100 package, counting $15 for dental/nail grinding, I can't say I'm not disappointed. Unfortunately, will not be coming back. Sincerely disappointed :( I will have to bathe him again, give him a complete haircut, and finish areas they didnt even attempt too, such as the hair under his nose going into his mouth.
