Found this place while looking online for distributors for Bones and Co. Called and talked to the owner who said they do sell it and he'll beat any price. Color me intrigued!! Stopped in today and the owners son was there. Let me say, I'm a sucker for supporting small business. Everyone is so nice and thoughtful. Willing to give their opinion and yet listen to individual financial situations. Will be back!! read more

So now they want to charge more money. I asked why does this keep happening to the cashier and this other rude girl chimed in and said she's explained it 3 times, feel free to take your dog elsewhere. Her name is Gena. Gena at PetSmart, that was unnecessary and rude! Appreciate that advice! Because I Never knew I could take my dog to elsewhere! Quira ( Manager) please keep your word and reprimand Gena. The most we've ever had to wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. Today, was no different, walked in at 10:15a, let them know that we needed a nail trim, the associate said that the earliest they can get us in was not till 12 PM without an appointment. An appointment? I explained to them that in the five years we've been going to them for nail grinds (which is pretty frequent) we've never had to make an appointment. That's when she said that making appointment has always been in place. So, I walked out, came over to The Good Dog. The General Manager greeted us, even while working with another customer. Listening how he handled the other two customers in front of us (who appeared to be regulars) set the tone that this is a friendly place that we want to be a part of. You know, it's like "Cheers," you wanna go where everyone knows your name! Well, they were able to get us in right away. They advised we typically do not need to make an appointment for nail grind, but to simply call up to make sure they are not busy at the moment, otherwise can get in quickly. None could find anything other than a plugged tear duct. Benny finally got so dehydrated that I brought him to the emergency room at Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists. The doctor there that night, Dr. Jeffrey Patlogar, examined him and immediately suspected a tumor behind the left eye. He recommended an ophthalmologist, who ordered a CT scan, which indeed showed the tumor. Dr. Patlogar knew it was most likely a lymphoma, and started prednisone and L-asparaginase while waiting for an oncologist to see Benny. The oncologist concurred completely with Dr. Patlogar's assessment and treatment. Because of his timely decisions, Benny survived long enough to get radiation therapy. He has been back to his old self since. I am amazed at, and very grateful for, Dr. Patlogar's clinical expertise. He basically saved Benny. Furthermore, everyone at IVVS from the receptionists to the nurses consistently showed compassion and attention to my cat and me. If and when Benny gets sick again, we will be coming back to this ER.

They checked his vitals, but we didn't pursue extensive diagnostics. Instead, he spoke candidly about what he was seeing--neurologically, Baxter was not himself and had clearly lost significant muscle mass. At his age, there was likely more going on than one treatable issue. The veterinarian could have easily recommended a long list of tests. Instead, he gave me real guidance. When I asked what he would do if it were his own dog, he told me he would choose euthanasia at this stage, explaining that "a day or a week too early is better than a day too late" to avoid unnecessary suffering. I had been struggling with this decision for a while, and that honesty helped me feel confident I was doing the right thing. It meant everything. Once I made the decision, the compassion from the staff was incredible. They handled everything with such care, dignity, and kindness. I've also been here before when Baxter was first diagnosed with heart failure, and had the same experience. The veterinarian literally told me it wasn't an emergency and that I could either proceed with treatment there or follow up with my regular vet the next day and save the cost of emergency care. That level of transparency really stuck with me. I'm truly grateful for this team and this office. If you're ever in a difficult situation with your pet, this is a place where you'll receive honest, compassionate care--not pressure to run unnecessary tests or take advantage of a vulnerable moment. My new place to shop for my pets! Great customer service, lots of food to choose from and the owner Sean is very knowledgeable. His advice to buy Victor dog food has made a noticeable difference in all 4 of my dogs. After 2 months of feeding this food, my 15 year old chihuahua and my 10 year old husky are zooming around and playing. My 4 year old dobie/lab has a shiny coat again and my 7 month German Shepard is healthy and happy. I used to go to all the way to Norco at Tractor Supply company for food but now there is a local small business owner that I can support. Yay!! Win, win! read more
