I recently stopped shopping here…read more My vacation was disrupted for over an hour overlapping two days over the need to cancel / reschedule an appointment that was to occur over my vacation time... an appointment that I had canceled / rescheduled before leaving town but had not been fully addressed by Mutts & Co Grooming. I was told that even though I had grooming appointments booked for the remainder of the year that my July appointment could not be booked because I did not have a method of payment stored within their new online booking portal. Storing a form of payment on an online booking portal is not something I would ever do and did not appreciate the effort that Mutts & Co put into trying to convince me otherwise during my vacation. I was away for five days. I was interrupted during two days of my vacation over this matter. The unfortunate part of this story is that Savanah is amazing at grooming my fur babies; however, I will not place a method of payment within their online portal. I now need to make alternative arrangements for grooming which is not at all appreciated. Life is busy enough without arbitrary and unplanned side quests. Mutts & Co does offer a variety of healthy products for cats and dogs. They are good about assisting you to the car with large orders or even assisting with curbside pick up. However, all of the products that they carry can be gotten through online retailers. My only other complaint is that they continually store the shopping carts on one side of the store and shopping baskets on the other side of the store. Their shopping carts require the use of a shopping basket too as items fall through the shopping cart when used alone. Disabled persons have a hard time traveling to each side of the store to collect a shopping basket and shopping cart. I would point this out each time and would return to the same set up the next trip.

The first month was ok by month 6 Matt did a water change and introduced ick into my tank and killed all my fish but one and then tried to sell me more instead of replacing them. I read online that as long as you take all the fish out of your tank for 6 weeks ick will die out of your tank. I didn't need Matt for that six week period, I took my water weekly to Rivers to Reefs to get it tested and they even showehow to test my self, and my water conditions were perfect. My coral was thriving beautiful. I was a loyal customer to Matt and it was about time for a water change and I called Matt he came to my house looking high and changed my water and left everything dead. When I called him about it he said he could have been that my nitrates were to high, but when I told him I had the water tested just days before and the water conditions were perfect he said he may have put in fresh water but he was not going to replace any coral or any fish and if I want to get my money back I should I have my lawyer call him. I'm in the process of taking him to court now but the guy is a real loser, buying fish or coral from him or having him do you water changes is VERY HIGH RISK Updated this review in response to the scum bag store owner he never tried to mend the relationship, a law suit would never be involved if he just replaced everything he killed in my tank. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE of doing business with Matt if you value your aquarium, I think he will kill everything in your tank, my tank was maintained by Matt and the picture you see is his REAL WORK. For aquariums Matt is dangerous!! VERY HIGH RISK Proceed with caution!!!!

I never write reviews but feel I must write this . I recently had to put my cat , my best friend…read morefor nine years , to sleep and it is still extremely painful . Although he was obese because I let him eat all he wanted I thought his health was declining . Of course his joints were suffering having to move all that weight around and there were many things he no longer was able to do but I still loved his company and was pretty sure he loved me . I wish I had gotten an affirmation from a doctor that it was time for him to go I did not get that because Groveport Animal Hospital just could not squeeze me in . I called at 5 they were open till 7 and they did not try calling clients to see if they could reschedule or have me come in after 7 . Not very compassionate ! I ended up having him put to sleep at 7:30 that night and now will always have doubt as far as how much longer I could have kept him and provide a certain quality of life , did I do the right thing , very painful ! I don't expect to go back .

One afternoon the week after Christmas, I accidentally cut my puppy's nail too short and had a bloody mess. I tried corn starch, applying pressure and even stopping by a pet store in Canal for styptic (they were out), but no dice. GCAH was open, so I stopped in. Up front, I did expect to pay a good chunk for a walk-in appointment during normal business hours. After five minutes waiting in the lobby a very friendly vet tech came out and eventually led me back to an exam room. She explained that both vets were busy but would try to squeeze me in, which I appreciated. She also got me a towel so my puppy wouldn't bleed all over me. She left and came back a couple minutes later to kindly let me know that it would be $160 to be seen. $160. To be clear, my puppy doesn't have a clotting disorder - I just needed styptic. I felt extremely price gouged. When I thanked the vet tech and let her know I didn't agree and would be going elsewhere, she gave me suggestions for what I could do and what to look for in healing. My three stars are for the great service she gave me, despite me ultimately heading elsewhere for a fraction of the price. (No cliffhanger - puppy was, of course, fine!)

I cannot say enough good about this place. Between the hospitable boarding, to the vet services,…read moreand the absolute genuine care for the well being of our pets, they can do no wrong. I want to give a shout out especially to Dr. Maimone, who is the primary caregiver for our beloved Lab "Dixie" aka "Dixiecup". A little history, Dixie is an American Black Lab who turned 9 this past summer. She is a 9 year old puppy! She's got a spice for life and having fun like no other dog I've ever owned, and she is absolutely the sweetest dog you could ever meet. In October 2022 she got dealt a raw hand, and she was diagnosed with grade two, Subcutaneous MAST Cell Tumor Disease (which is an aggressive form of doggie cancer). Dr. Maimone was the one who performed the surgery to remove some tumors that showed up and had them tested. Dixie had an incision that was about 20 inches long due to multiple tumors being found and removed. Our options were limited, we could do chemo or radiation at the tune of $35-45,000. With no guarantee of success. So we made the decision to keep Dixie as comfortable as possible with palliative care, and once it started to affect her quality of life then we would have to make that dreaded choice to let her go. Dixie was given a prognosis of 3-6 months life span with this disease. We were absolutely heartbroken. Dr. Maimone explained that the MAST Cell is a histamine releasing cell, and that Dixies body was over reacting to said histamine, which was causing the tumors to form. She recommended that we try a benedryl and steroid regimin to try and counteract the histamines being released. We agreed to this treatment to try and give Dixie the comfort she deserved, and to be able to enjoy the time she had left with us. At three months we went in for a checkup and Dr. Maimone said she was pleased with Dixies condition. 6 months came, and Dr. Maimone said she was no longer seeing any progression of the cancer. Then at 9 months, Dr. Maimone said "I think her cancer is in remission". At 1 year, Dr Maimone did another checkup with complete blood work etc, and told that Dixie now had a clean bill of health, and that there werr no signs of her cancer whatsoever! Today, at 15 months, Dixie was out back chasing squirrels and playing with her ball like nothing was ever wrong with her. I cannot thank Dr. Maimone enough for her care and love of animals, especially Dixie. By her hunch on the treatment plan, she has truly given Dixie a miracle. And we are truly thankful and humbled by her genuine care. Thank you again Dr. Maimone! Because of you, Dixie bear the odds and KICKED CANCERS ASS! We are forever in your debt.

Dr. Hurst is amazing in the care she provides and follow-up services. When my geriatric pup had to be euthanized due to spleen failure, she was so empathetic and sympathetic. She provided a book I could borrow to share a beautiful story with my younger son that helped him with the tragic loss. More recently, I had rescued a dog from the county shelter that tested positive for intestinal worms. Dr. Hurst was fantastic as she provided the necessary care and continued follow-up until the dog was "free and clear". She even called after each testing herself (unfortunately the first round didn't clear him up) to discuss directly with me. She also made suggestions on items like probiotics and other helpful things I often keep large-xlarge dogs and knowing Dr. Hurst has equine experience, also gives additional help with the bigger pups and the varying care they need vs the smaller dogs. I had a cat years ago and received equally wonderful care. The staff is also super nice and always helpful. I often suggest this vet to those in my area looking for a vet for their pets. Great practice. The sister practice is also wonderful and it's really nice knowing you have a vet on call always between the two for emergencies.
