I tell everyone the story of how my one dog use to be tranquillized at the vets office just to get her nails clipped. I then had heartland kennels, Vivki, give it a try and she took her in the back, came out in 3 minutes and said there you go! I said to her, what do you have back there a mallet? My granddoodle has extremely difficult "cotton candy" hair that mats very easily, and I was honestly worried most of it would have to be shaved. But V worked absolute magic. She was able to save much of her coat, and she looks beautiful! What really stood out to me, though, was how comfortable my dog was. Even though it was her first visit, she ran right to V like she already knew her. That kind of trust means everything. You can tell they truly care about the dogs they groom. I wouldn't take mine anywhere else!

They only carry high quality foods. Stuff you would never find at the chain places. One of my dogs has some major food allergies and has to have gluten free and I can find a plethora of grain free foods here. What's more amazing than the quality of food, is the quality of customer service. The owner and all of his staff are some of the most AMAZING people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with! They can tell you how the dog foods are cooked and why one method is better than the other. Or why one brand might be a better fit that another. Or that certain brands are simply a marketing company (coughcoughbluebuffalocoughcough) and have zero interest or control over the quality of food and your pet's health. The owner remembered us after not living in the area for 4 years and returning as a customer once we moved back and treated us like family as he always had. We get the food all the time but had never seen the treats! Grabbed a pack of the Parmesan cheese flavored for the girls. We also grabbed a bag of Bil Jack treats for them and I got the cats some spray cat nip for their new tree. All of that was just $25! I was totally impressed. The owner of the store was there and he was so friendly and welcoming. I totally would stop in here again... and even make the hour drive to visit him and his store.
