The facility didn't notify us when they put our dog on precautionary status for trying to jump the outdoor fence, nor did the business follow their own protocol to stay with our dog on a leash when outside after his first attempt to jump the fence. In addition, the staff didn't administer our dog's anxiety drugs as instructed. Finally, once our dog died in their care after jumping the poorly designed outdoor enclosure and after being left by himself, they did NOTHING to fix the structural design issue to keep other dogs safe. Our dog was one of the greatest things in our life and the Pet Resort treated him like a piece of replaceable property. Our experience after the incident was also disappointing and proved to us the owner is profit driven and not in business for the safety of your pet.

When we arrived we looked at the birds first and then I went to find the pet specialist to help us. When she came over she Greeted us with "what's up" like we were bothering her. Annoying and unprofessional but we ignored that and inquired about the birds available. We then asked if we could hold the bird we were interested in and she said No it's against policy because of Covid... Really how dumb. I'm not going to pay over $800 for a bird if I can't hold it. She assumed we were just lookie lou's and really was just flat out roud. When we told her we want to buy a bird today but we're not gonna do that if we can't see if we have a connection and how we feel about it by holding it, she fired back with why didn't you start with that. Needless to say we did not buy a bird from the store. As we were walking out my husband said that he wanted to talk to the manager and inform her how rude the employees was. We talked about Jordi's specific behavior and reactions so that she could better understand and get to know Jordi. After the training cycle with Stephanie had ended, Jordi can now jump in and out of the tub all on his own, can sit and lay on command, and is so much more comfortable with a muzzle when it comes to grooming! One of the (many) reasons we are seeking training is so we can walk comfortably and safely without using it. She said if we can commit to stop using the collar, along with a few other things, we can schedule a $155 consultation with her. The way this was communicated came across as kind of rude, but I thought maybe I was just reading in to it too much (spoiler: I wasn't). I wrote back, told Stephanie those were absolutely things I can commit to, but that we had scheduled a meeting with another trainer and would contact her if things didn't work out. The communication I received from Stephanie after this was very rude, condescending, and accusatory. I would never want to work with someone who communicates with ANYONE, let alone potential clients, the way Stephanie communicated with me.
